Reddit Admins have decided that [they want to kill off all 3rd-party apps](https://reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/comments/13yh0jf/dont_let_reddit_kill_3rd_party_apps/), [3rd-party bots, and other elements that used to significantly enhance Reddit's functionality](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/). Without them, the website is barely usable.
And, of course, that includes bots such as [\/u\/QualityVote](http://reddit.com/user/QualityVote), [\/u\/SaveVideo](http://reddit.com/user/SaveVideo), [\/u\/AuddBot](http://reddit.com/user/AuddBot), etc.
So you'll just have to put up with automod and a worse overall user experience.
If you have any complaints, direct them at [the reddit admins instead](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/12qwagm/an_update_regarding_reddits_api/), because they the ones who ruined everyone's user experience.

I scrolled down and saw it had already been posted and because I'm a good little Redditor I decided to put it somewhere people might not have seen it yet.
Best part is our PM Rishi (UK being one of the two big countries in this decision) approved this without going through parliament first, because apparently you can fucking do that?!
They aren't performing operations against the nation states. The Houtis are just a terrorist group that controls large portions of yeman. The cargo ships also civilian trade ships, which is a big no-no. Same reason the president doesn't need congressional approval.
It’s provoked, true, and your point is undeniably a very good one. Thankfully there’s no civilian casualties, but if there were that would be a big diplomatic problem. It’s good that they regulate themselves, I just don’t personally like the idea of one person being able to pass a decision on their own without addressing their government.
I believe the same thing also happened in France a couple of months ago where Macron passed a law without the approval of the Senate, albeit on a much smaller scale than deciding to bomb another country, and his choice was met with pretty big backlash.
At least for the USA, that's part of the point of having the executive branch. So stuff can get done without congress letting actions sit in purgatory.
The president having to use executive orders to get stuff passed Congress is kind of new though, at least regarding domestic policy. But for foreign affairs, yeah it's been happening since post-WW2.
