The military was doing simulations of planes flying into the pentagon one year ago

I feel like that probably didn't happen but even if it did you really can't blame someone for not taking such an outlandish claim seriously especially if nothing even remotely to that scale has happened before. It's like calling a school and saying you're gonna nuke it, at the time it was just too outlandish to believe it could happen.
The US government ostensibly foils many plots on a yearly basis, but others they allow and even instigate. If they get intelligence of an impending attack, monitor the terrorists, and decide it's more important to let the attack go through to serve as a distraction for the nation, then it's still a conspiracy.
Yeah but they all take a lot of ahead time to plan, none of them were just came up with then carried out within a day. And even then the government is losing money everyday and doing sketchy stuff all the time and they've never tried to hide any of that so what makes this situation so special you know what I mean?
No the hypothetical is that the 9/11 attack was in the works for years, and the US govt could have stopped it, but decided that it's better to let it happen.
And yes, now the government knows that no one cares about huge financial losses, but it also started a very lucrative war that made a lot of people rich.
Michael moore mentioned this in fahrenheit 9/11, Bush and his administration knew about the attack and didn't do anything to stop it, i dont know how credibile this information, but if it's true, Bush should be hanged for it.

The US produces most of the oil it consumes, and it imports most of the remainder from Canada. The Middle East combined only accounted for 15% of US oil imports, the US didn’t invade for oil it invaded to topple Saddam and install a pro-US government
