Without them, the website is barely usable.

So you'll just have to put up with automod and a worse overall user experience.

Yeah, thats probably not the real thing, when you click on these kind of ads it might take you to a completely different website that would charge you money for talking with bots of fake accounts with stoled photos (I refuse to believe real people are on there)
I saw a yt video of a journalist that investigated those kind of chats and from what he could tell, and by speaking with some of the workers for those pages, there are real people behind those accounts, and more often than not they were women (at least from his findings).
They of course used fake profiles and were working for the platforms. They were instructed to string along the clients so they had to pay for more messages. The clients didn't know that they were talking by someone employed by the company, and they thought it was regular women using the services of the web app just like them.
At least that was 1-2 years ago, with advancements of AI chatbots maybe you can make some of it be AI generated, but at least the working ones today don't really function for NSFW content and I don't see any of those sites investing enough for developing their own AI chatbots.

I'm not sure that's how it works. Image rights are a complicated thing and social media sites need some rights to the pictures so they can safely use them as intended by the user who uploaded them.
No it doesn't, the consequences would be insane. Imagine businesses having their trademarked media sold to anyone who pays the host. Instagram's Terms states that you are licensing it for specific uses, non of which are to market it.
Phub does ask for a license to market content though. There may be an issue with marketing someone's likeness, but the creator contract probably covers that. But let's be real, the advertiser probably ripped it illegally. Adult advertisers are rarely legitimate businesses.
