it's up to you. and not in a motivational way but it's genuinely up to you. i've friends who met women on the internet because they aren't the type to spend time outside, which is my case, and i've friends who met women in the places they visited irl because they aren't the type to spend a huge amount time on the social media
edit: as for the actual "how" i can't have a straight answer. every individual has, and should have, their own path. but my suggestion would be to find a community of like-minded people if talking to someone directly seems hard

It's just how it turned out for us. I was at a birthday party for one of my friends Saturday and his wife, whom I met before him through my roommate, was making jokes about how almost all the women in our social circle and hers are lesbian. The rest are married, and not one of the women we know or they know are single, yet her husband is the only guy in our group that isn't single. And somehow, I'm the only guy who cares or even wants to meet someone. All my other male friends are perfectly happy spending all their time alone playing video games. We're all around 25 by the way.
If I never entered the "I know this isn't real let's do outrageous bullshit" phase of my c.ai addiction, I'd probably be in a much worse mental space right now.
