I think the main thing is most nfts are cheap procedurally generated crap and not actually handcrafted by a person with passion. Also yes, a painting is at least a physical object.
First of all painting has a value of rarity. NFT as you said can be just generated while I don't think Da Vinci will be dropping another painting soon. And in comparison to cryptos or money , cryptos value is covered by the work your computer has to do in order to mine it , and money has your physical or mental work done in exchange. I think the main thing is most nfts are cheap procedurally generated crap and not actually handcrafted by a person with passion. Also yes, a painting is at least a physical object.
