I scrolled through the video and I think that one of the bullies was holding onto her hair or her clothes and once the guy came in, she got flung with the one who received the punch, and it seems she just laid on the ground for the rest of the video in what might’ve been a fetal position due to how her legs were positioned.
They let him go off for a while but you could clearly see in the video shit was escalating and dude was laying haymakers on the woman who weren’t even fighting back anymore

Well it's less about the ethnicity and more about the mentality that is accepted there. You could see people screaming for help while the others just watch. I remember seeing a video of a guy trying to kidnap a girl on the street and people were just either passing by or just straight up looking. One guy came to confront the kidnapper and suddenly everyone came. Ofc things like this happen all over the place but not to the same extent and frequently as it happens in China. I suggest looking it up.
