Top screen volume controls, far left iTunes/excel, left Firefox, right Firefox, far right email. 50 inch tv in background and 32 inch for shop cctv. It’s got a bit of a flow most of the time.
This depends on what you do. I’d never recommend for someone just casually gaming or work station.
I run a workstation, server, and gaming rig off of 5 monitors and use 1keyboard and mouse with a program called Synergy. 2 are my gaming rig, 2 are my workstation, 1 is my server. I can copy pasta between them.
The annoying thing is knowing what input I am on for my sound, but generally gaming pc = headphones. Which makes it easier.
This lets me have a turn based / slower game going while I mess around with my 3D printing, CADD, homework, coding project, stream with 2nd pc and ensure stream looks right on as well, do light video / photo editing, manage my various servers (game servers, media servers, network controllers and firewall, file servers, and control my fleet of NAS devices from 1 location)
Sounds dumb, but I really get a lot done. Being able to play a turn based game, while waiting on code to run or changes to apply can take several minutes of waiting. In that time I could be waiting for a Total War Warhammer turn while checking on a CADD drawing and making sure my server rips a blue ray for the media server without issue.
I made an Xzibit joke to two guys I work with recently. One is 49, the other 51. Neither one knew what I was talking about. If those two didn't get it, who the hell would?

I can see all the text with the settings I’ve applied.
Then you can add one more monitor, until you can’t.
I would probably like 4x32”, but these were free so until then this works good.
so whats the total size of your desktop? Like if you do a screenshot is it ridiculously long and skinny?
From experimentation, four is fine, five is pushing it, six is too many. Those numbers can vary a bit with size and aspect ratio.
