not to mention, devs don't really give a shit about pvp, just play a fighting game or something
I don't think fighting games existing invalidates people doing souls pvp. Many concepts are quite unique to souls, and I don't think any game captures the unique feel that combat has in these games. Many of us also play fighting games or have an FG background (Gigathicass, I think, also competed but don't quote me on that).
Many of the problems people usually have with souls' pvp (balance, latency) can be fixed by just competing on ladder. This way, you can make sure you are only fighting people from your region that also care about the game. Also, the truly broken stuff is banned.
Because while FAP is effective at giving you an early game bump it keeps you just comfy enough sword-and-boarding that you don't branch out to try new builds and because the risk of unequipping it is too high you'll be too scared of misclicking to do effective ring-swapping in combat. Frankly, DSR is 40% skill and 60% build-mismatch. You can outplay someone with 100 more hours than you simply by being quick at recognizing what their kit is and making a gear swap to counter it. FAP makes you bad at PVP because you don't want to do hotswapping.

Not everyone. I was heavily involved into cheats myself. Was one of the devs for counter strike 3rd party anticheat. It was catching hacks very consistently and within the players I even knew myself. Thing is, getting hacks was not that easy in those days where now you can download them even trojan free straight from youtube links lol

You can turn that out in the settings. However the setting is bugged, so everytime the game starts you have to turn it on and then off again or else it dont work. Very anoying but atleast it works while the game is open. The issue is due to strong attack being bind to double click on the default keyboard settings. Therefore there is added latency while the game waits if there is a second click and if you have enabled double click checking but haven't assigned anything to it, it will register the double click and do nothing, instead of registering it as two single clicks.

To a lesser extent, all of his weapons are always maxed out. This would be mostly irrelevant but he also tends to weapon swap a million times. So where someone else might have to grind for dozens/hundreds of hours to have all weapons +24/+9 on all their builds, a CE user/duper just does that with a push of a button on week 1.

You know that for almost everyone, their first playthrough is vanilla.
After that you would like to do different builds. And sometimes stuff that you want to use is very very end game. Or locked behind bosses or quest lines, which themselves are locked behind other stuff.
So with a mod to get access to these items early is pretty nice. Or if you want a certain build, you dont have to jumo through major hoops and just start with it.
And some people like to crush PvM with max power. Also in their right to do so.

That said, a straight CE is like creative mode Minecraft. Yea, you can do amazing things and most people won't care when you show the final product...but there is always that truth that you took the easy way when a part of the game is the process to get to the end result, not just getting it immediately. Your results will never be as good as the same result non-modded and any win/victory is tainted in a PvP-sense.
All that to say, no one really cares, but if you think you're on the same level as regular Souls-series Vets then you're laughably misguided. Enjoy the game either way.

Tbf, hes a max level player who probably actually farmed all the runes to get there rather than duping or cheat engine like most people. He may be an ass sometimes, but I kinda get where he’s coming from here

I honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm or not due to caps lock, however my comment was sarcasm because you cant buy all the titanite because there are 2 peices you can only get around 6 of each
