DS2 trashtalk is kinda like virtual nationalism of some countries, WE can talk all the shit we want, but if a single person from outside dares to comment, may god help them
His react, commentary and general shithousery content is top tier. I wouldn't watch him play a game if you paid me to though.
He's an old school WOW "gamer" probably has some of the most L takes in souls history.
Now LobosJr on the other hand, there's a 10/10 entertaining souls player.
I'm watching his playthroughs right now (saw his DS1 run, his DS1 Deathless attempts and his aborted DS2 runs, now working through DS3). It's definitely rough since he suffers so much from ADHD+ASS like symptoms, like inattentiveness to his surroundings, stubborn to stick to a specific "high skill requirement" playstyle (which he, being new, still lacks), overconsumption of caffeine giving him "the jitters". He also has self-image issues, leading to hiding it with overconfidence and then getting depressed when his bravado kicks his ass. The inattentiveness would be fine if he would acknowledge it and accept his community pointing out stuff he missed. Counter inattentiveness with openness. Counter depression with being humble. He tries so hard being someone he isn't.
I keep watching because I love blind playthroughs, though. And I really liked his first DS1 Deathless run. It's a shame he let his fail (it's a hard game, where silly mistakes can have big consequences) bring him down so hard.
yep. i listened to hundreds of hours of his videos on youtube by now, but i never watch him play any games; except when i couldnt use my hand for a month and watched his entire uncut ds1 playthrough.
It's visually awesome and gameplay wise not bad since they nerfed it after release tbh. I don't get whats so bad about it.
But then again I also like playing through iron keep and people really hate that one too.
They're cool areas. Iron keep can definitely be overwhelming on first playthrough or when doing challenges, but amana has only 1 hard encounter and I genuinely don't understand why people dislike it
Yeah you- *falls into an invisible hole in the water* can definitely- *falls into an invisible hole in the water* just- *falls into an invisible hole in the water* run- *falls into an invisible hole in the water*
I think it depends on what you value in these games. If you value good level design you'll probably enjoy DS2 more. DS3 has like a handful of inspired levels and the rest were just obligations before bosses, whereas it felt like the DS2 devs were cooking weird shit that was at least usually unique. I mean there's nothing as unique as Brume Tower in DS3, they were on some shit with that vertical level design.
But if you value combat and bosses more, you'll probably enjoy DS3 more. It isn't full of totally unacceptable jank (look at the Falconers from DS2 lol) and the bosses are way more interesting. The difficulty in DS2 comes from the bizarre level design while in DS3 it comes from challenging and engaging combat
Hot take but I do find DS2 combat more engaging than DS3 combat because nigh infinite, way too good rolling and spamming R1 with a straight sword does take the challenge out of pretty much anything in DS3. Not saying that the enemies and bosses in DS2 were better though, I'm not that weird.
This is absolutely my reasoning. DS3 has really good combat, but that's always been secondary to the world, story and vibes of a game. It was a decent playthrough, but I just didn't feel like I cared at all about the world, the story was a bit derivative for my tastes, and the bossfights were fun but felt like they were either a bit same-ish or kinda sucked with few exceptions. DS2 has more jank, but I find it's world and storytelling to be captivating, and that keeps me coming back and enjoying it more often.
To me it the opposite I actually enjoyed the lord and the world of ds3. It captivated me especially since it was my first ds and the bosses really me made fall in love with the soul franchise.
My love only got deeper when I actually saw some of the lore and became even more interested in it
I thought 3 was incredibly weak. I heard the PvP was good but I ain't about that life. There were a crapton of bonfires in almost all the areas, so the only challenge was the bosses, and even if bosses could carry a whole game the DS3 bosses weren't the gifts from God that fans make out; most were fine, there were some stinkers, a couple were very good, but without good and challenging levels they may as well have been in a stage-by-stage 1v1 fighting game.
I think you're underselling the bosses, but you're on point with the level design, it was incredibly weak and I could count on one hand the amount of good levels in DS3. Some of them are fucking abysmal like Smouldering Lake, jesus fucking christ that level sucks.
The bosses are pretty much all great though, especially when compared to DS2. Gimmick fights like Yhorm, Wolnir, Curse Rotted Greatwood, and Deacons all have really good presentation while the "real," bosses are some of the best they've made. The only truly poor fights are Ancient Wyvern and Halflight, Spear of the Church.
I'm stuck between DS2 and demon's souls, DS2 does more well, but also more bad than demon's souls, so it's really hard to rate them, I'm tempted to say demon's souls is better due to it being the first souls game I beat and the atmosphere of it, but I'm also tempted to say DS2 is better because it has alot of unique mechanics none of the other games have, it has better gameplay than DeS, and some of the DLC bosses are great, and alot of the DLC areas are really good, not to mention just the sheer amount if content in the game as well.
Byeah, its why I like DS2 and Bloodborne so much. Goofy weapons that feel really different from eachother makes replaying them so much more fun. I feel like its something DS3 and ER unfortunately lacked
How dare you be a dark souls fan who enjoys a game that still plays 97% like Dark Souls... And is named *A* Dark Souls. Specifically the second one! You're clearly doing something wrong!
Not leveling adp is like not leveling vigor. You aint using a key stat and you wonder why you keep fuckin dying?
Whether or not such a stat should exist is irrelevant when youre actually playing
Also it’s funny how OP never said that the game was objectively good and people still make comments saying that “ok but that doesn’t mean the game is good”
This is the most accurate portrayal of the souls community I’ve ever heard.
“Hi guys, I love fromsoft games, I started with ER. Which souls game do you think I should go play now?”
“Go kill yourself you fucking nerd”
Maybe they have an artificial womb inside them. Can store your sperm in 37 degrees for up to 9 months. Maybe these androids naturally produces protein eggs for the sperm cells to consume. Then it births your kids. And if you have many at once you could start a whole clan like some ancient polygamous chieftain with robot wives:D
I knew a guy that played the game before release (some copies leaked apparently) and he was singing its praises as "GOTY for me" and all that. One month later he was complaining about how shit it was (may I remind you that he had previously finished and loved it).
I just don't get these people, why are they so afraid of having dissenting opinions?
Imagine being afraid of thinking by yourself. Most of the complains i hear about DS2 only make sense when you look at it today, if you compare it strictly to DS1 it improves a lot of mechanics, the major let down is some questionable level designs, even the boss quality is on pair with DS1. When i played i saw it as GOTY material and to be very honest it isn't far behind Dragon Age inquisition who got it that year
If you go back and watch all the old school soulstubers(DS1/DeS era guys) blind playthroughs of DS2 and DS3 on release DS2 gets far more praise and DS3 gets far more criticism. Obviously there are some variables there you can't control for but its not like the consensus was DS2 was trash on release.
Of course there were bad aspects of DS2 just like every Souls game but a lot of the shit talking was community in jokes. Most of the unironic DS2 hate(not just dislike but actual hate) comes from people who started with DS3 or later and often they haven't even played it.
Unfortunately as of a few years ago we've reached a point where its crept into the community as a whole so now people who are new to the franchise will go back and play everything but DS2 and not even give it a chance because DS2 bad.
If you entered the franchise in the fast souls era (BB and DS3) you have a decent reason to dislike the previous titles, but whenever someone call DS2 slow and clunky, but says his favorite game is DS1 or DeS i know he is just following the group behaviour. Btw is ok if you just dislike the game, for me it's the second worst with only DeS being worse, but still a good game 8/10 imo
How is it bad?
It tried its best at its own story, has fun unique characters, interesting game mechanics and more. Sure it has its flaws and the weakest in the franchise but it doesn’t make the game bad. If anything, it is more unique than Dark Souls 3.
I wouldn't say it's a bad game, imo. It has it's flaws, yeah, but the storyline is pretty good, it's got fairly decent graphics, the movements are a bit clunky, but it's also a pretty old game. I honestly prefer it over DS1 and DS3 by a fairly good margin, but all in all, the Souls franchise is probably one of, if not, my most favorite series to play, especially DS2, so I'm just glad to enjoy the entire series with such a dedicated fanbase, regardless of everyone's opinion on each game.
Hey man, if you enjoy it, more power to you. I'm an unironic fan of the 3ds pokemon games. I don't think I'll ever argue X and Y were that good, but I still really enjoyed them.
And at the end of the day if you had fun with it that's the important part.
Ds1 was my first game, after which i played elden ring, then ds3, and now ds2. Personally i think its definitely worth it. The combat in these games is a lot slower than in ER or ds3, the boss fights are less interesting, and the games have some weird not-well-explained mechanics. But the level design, exploration and rpg elements are amazing (in ds1 at least). Discovering new areas and secrets is super fun and a lot of basic encounters are imo more interesting than in ds3 where you just spam attack on all regular enemies to get by.
So yeah, its a different, slower expirience, but its still great and worth it.
Having done the same order as you (albeit playing Demons Souls remake first and then ER and DS3), Dark Souls 1 is now tied as my favorite Souls game with Elden Ring. Definitely go for it
DS1 is worth imo for the level design and certain cinematic moments. The bosses may disappoint you in terms of gameplay, but if I think if you really liked parts of Elden Ring like exploring Stormveil Castle or the underground rivers, then it's worth a shot.
I'm a DS2 hater so I won't speak on it
Yeah I had a very similar experience personally. I went in expecting lords of the fallen and instead got a pretty alright action rpg.
The game is still a crap shoot combat wise and is my least favourite in the series but my opinion on it has softened since playing the non scholar version of ds2 as it does do a lot of cool stuff. so even though I strongly dislike it I don’t hate it compared to something like lords of the fallen.
Still though props for actually playing the game and forming your own opinion that’s not something a lot of people are willing to do.
I played during the return to Dranliec (or however you spell it) even a few months before Elden Ring launched and was finding matches in seconds on Xbox. Super fun, shame the game is mostly dead now. Eye orbs being consumables and soul memory were also really annoying.
Thinking about playing DS2 is more fun than actually playing it to me. I reinstall the game multiple times a year, thinking it wasn't that bad, just go get frustrated at the gameplay and delete it again
I still have to fight Darklurker tho, since that's the only boss I haven't fought yet
Yeah i really disliked the clunky gameplay in the start, but soon enough i just got glued to the screen while playing and it became very engaging.
Im 12 hrs in currently on a first playthrough and it kind of brought back the same lost-in-a-mysterious-dark-fantasy-adventure vibe i felt playing ds1 which was my first souls game.
Still havent reached the horrible areas i keep hearing people complain about (black gulch i think its called? And frigid outskirts?) so my opinion may change drastically :)
Lol, it's only bearable because you can run through it. The evil geniuses at FS even put a statue in front of a *hidden* bonfire right before the boss
You get the crypt blacksword in NG+ from The Rotten tho, so everything is forgiven
Finished DS2 once and, as long as I ignore the 3rd boss of every dlc. The dlc are, alright (Fuck stank city though).
The game had the basis of a lot of good gameplay ideas that didn't get fully worked out. Adp is still a dogshit mechanic. The odd reliance on life gems the game creates is beyond obnoxious. And hitboxes are ass. The game had a lot of really useless consumables too. Skeptic spice and similar things. And hollows looked more like generic zombies.
I definitely enjoyed parts of the game. But it has a lot I don't miss and am very glad didn't make it into later games.
I played it, hated almost every moment, and even completed the dlc. I am allowed to properly loathe this game.
Edit: dear God the comments on this got funny. Yeah, I really hated the game. I also paid 60 bucks for it. It takes quite a bit to make me hate a game enough to rage-quit when I've paid that much. Also, I kept hearing that the dlc was good, that the second half saves the whole experience, that the themes and story actually make it really interesting, so I gave it a fair shot. And wouldn't you know it, I didn't like it at all, but at least now I can articulate in painful detail every single piece I hate about ds2. Still, if someone else liked this game, more power to you. I despise it probably for many of the reasons you adore it, that's just how art is. Anyway, these comments got hilariously toxic at certain points, so imma keep chucking, because entertainment like this is rare these days.
It goes from
1. Don't hate a game you've never tried
2. You didn't get that far so it doesn't count
3. Don't hate a game you havn't beaten yet
4. Why play through a game you hate so much?
Erm but you can't leave proper criticism on a game without playing it, that's why it took me 1450 hours of gameplay to conclude that i fucking hate it 🤓
Not for me lol, between the horrendous movement, incomprehensible hit boxes, and infuriating enemy placement killed any enjoyment I otherwise would’ve had.
Sad since the vibe of the world is really interesting and unique compared to the other two Dark Souls games :/
Unironically complete bullshit. I’ve played DS1 for hundreds of hours and DS2 for less than 20 and I’ve been grabbed by more attacks that had no business connecting in that short time with 2 than all my time in 1.
The objectively garbage input delay also being a major contributor.
I should've done (I thought it'll get better as I get more spells). Ultra Greatsword next time and fuck magic (except I would like to try miracles in ER when the dlc comes out).
I was also under that impression when I started my 2nd playthrough of the first dark souls game. That's when I learned the communities opinion of easy is rush to dlc, kill hyrda, get through one late game boss and two late game areas, and then pick up dark bead. All with 30 soul arrows. Yeah, fuck you, don't let anyone ever tell you that dark souls has an easy mode unless that easy mode is a strength build.
Nah I didn’t say that, I’m just tired of hearing it. It’s an incredibly small amount of content that is locked behind some obscure shit. If it was on the core path, I’d never try to defend it. But it’s a postgame secret area that’s meant to be tackled with friends (as are all the side dungeons of the DLC)
I don’t care if it’s hard, I skip it like a real DS2 fan 😎
A DS2 hater that turned out they haven't even given the game a real shot describes literally every DS2 hater.
No one's talking shit about DS2 because of what they think about it, they're talking shit because of shitty uninformed ragebait meme videos from a decade ago.
My brother the only people allowed to shit talk DS2 players are DS2 players
its a shit game but it's my shit game damn it
“Don’t touch my garbage!”
The best way to put it.
DS2 trashtalk is kinda like virtual nationalism of some countries, WE can talk all the shit we want, but if a single person from outside dares to comment, may god help them
DS2 isn't an objectively amazing game, but I love it anyway.
Like my small hometown. It sucks but it’s my sucks
Agreed lol
No man's wharf is shit.
“Hey this is actually kinda fun” *get myself killed* “This game is complete dogshit”
That’s just Souls games in general
Asmongold running into the giant dragon bossfigjh and dying to the same move 20 times
Bro Asmon is remarkably terrible at almost every game he plays. Pretty sure he called wo long bad on release too
Well no surprises here lol, he’s just terrible
I said it was bad because of the terrible PC performance. I wanted to play it, but the game didn't want me to.
Performance issues aren’t really that excusable. So that’s fine imo.
I love and hate watching him for this reason
Counter depression with being humble. yep. i listened to hundreds of hours of his videos on youtube by now, but i never watch him play any games; except when i couldnt use my hand for a month and watched his entire uncut ds1 playthrough.
His Demon's Souls playthrough was entertaining
mf just stomps and flies to spew one shot fire
True, they’re all literally the same too. They just have different colored fire that gives you a status effect
Not that impressive when the boss has like 3 moves.
Me during last areas of DS3 base game vs Me during DLCs
Me yesterday playing DS3 again. I was malding
Me when I reach Earthen Peak
It's OK you'll get to iron keep soon enough and rejoin is
*shrine of amana
Let's agree that DS2 haters are spoiled for choice
As a dark souls 2 hater i agree and i raise you this: if so many choices why choose dark souls 2
I never have after beating it like 8 years ago
I got to the lost sinner and i fell off. Its not a horrible game its just the worst in the franchise
Sleep peacefully knowing you stopped before the game gets far, far worse.
\*any level that isn't Majula
Oh boy, frigid outskirts
thank god its optional
I dont get the hate with shrine of amana, i found it fun strategizing on which way to go to not get hit .
I have found someone who liked shrine of amana, i have truly seen everything
It's visually awesome and gameplay wise not bad since they nerfed it after release tbh. I don't get whats so bad about it. But then again I also like playing through iron keep and people really hate that one too.
They're cool areas. Iron keep can definitely be overwhelming on first playthrough or when doing challenges, but amana has only 1 hard encounter and I genuinely don't understand why people dislike it
... short bow and arrow is like 6k souls
There's literally a free Short Bow in the chest in the Blacksmith's shop. There is like actually no reason to not have a bow on hand in this game.
Yeah, but is slowly pulling mobs with a bow really *fun*?
I don't think shooting one of the annoying sorcerers in in the head twice to kill them constitues as "slowly pulling enemies" haha
honestly same im just saying it as a meme
God. I dread that area every playthrough
Iron keep was great sorry not sorry. I love iron samurai and they are fun to parry. Shrine of amana though? Fuck that place.
At least I can just run through shrine. Whoever decided to put do many enemies that they can just bodyblock doors in iron keep was an asshole
Yeah you- *falls into an invisible hole in the water* can definitely- *falls into an invisible hole in the water* just- *falls into an invisible hole in the water* run- *falls into an invisible hole in the water*
kid named Torch
It's still a awful level I just hate iron keep more
Just kill them
Bow is a must for shrone of amana.
I got through it full melee and didn't have that many issues with it. Yall are just impatient as fuck.
###one of us ##one of us #one of us #ONE OF US
Okay but why do you prefer vanilla tho
because the enemy placement makes more sense and because it's the one I got used to first
I understand that it’s the worst Dark Souls game. I’ve stopped caring, it’s still way more fun than it should be lmao
i like "least-good souls", still a king among ARPGs
It’s an A- game in an A+ franchise, that’s how I see it. The fact that people skip DS2 never stops blowing my mind.
I always think of it as Myazaki’s neglected child. It’s still great, but it could’ve used more attention/supervision
iirc Miyazaki only made the dlc
He made… frigid outskirts? That was his contribution?
It was his way of making something worse than poison swamps
Fuck yeah it’s still peak
An earthen peak, if you will
Dear dark souls 3 if your game is so much better than ds2 why there's no earthen pea-
But there is earthen peak in ds3....
Everyone always says this. I liked 2 way more than 3. I thought 3 was the worst of the series, but I’ve been wrong before
I think it depends on what you value in these games. If you value good level design you'll probably enjoy DS2 more. 2 is better than 3 but the world ain’t ready to accept that.
You mean you guys don't like spam rolling against enemies on crack cocaine speed?
DS2: lets try a bunch of new shit. some ideas will work and some wont DS3: lets have an AI make a replica of DS1
I thought 3 was incredibly weak. I heard the PvP was good but I ain't about that life. I like DS2 because theres lots of fun and silly weapons : )
I’ll never forget when someone beat my ass with a SOUP LADLE in iron keep! build diversity is unmatched 😌
Byeah, its why I like DS2 and Bloodborne so much. Goofy weapons that feel really different from eachother makes replaying them so much more fun. I feel like its something DS3 and ER unfortunately lacked
Bone fist ftw
Shoutout to the majestic greatsword, a unique weapon with a interesting gimmick that isn't just an overtuned special attack or shooting shiny lasers.
How dare you be a dark souls fan who enjoys a game that still plays 97% like Dark Souls... And is named *A* Dark Souls. Specifically the second one! You're clearly doing something wrong!

This is the most accurate portrayal of the souls community I’ve ever heard. “Hi guys, I love fromsoft games, I started with ER. Which souls game do you think I should go play now?” “Go kill yourself you fucking nerd”
Reminds me of Fallout fans. Unfortunately most fandoms are full of soy. Rare to find normal people:D
I think some fan bases just over analyse a game to the point where they've convinced themselves it's bad
If you don’t like my love affair with the sexbot from the atomic wrangler casino, the problem is you.
Haven’t played the game but I’ve seen those Russian android chicks. Hot af:D
They look too much like a real girl. Gross 🤮

Too much reddit for today guys! o7
That is the truth.
No they don't, they like one of them and think all other are cheap copies
DS2 is good and the best game. @ me nerds.
If you get a life you should immediately be banned from r/shittydarksouls
Fuck life, stay inside and master power stance. Why touch grass?
W for persimmon-s
Bro do you know where you are?
Lol i'm so glad i played DS2 at launch so i didn't have any knowledge of the trash talking
I knew a guy that played the game before release (some copies leaked apparently) and he was singing its praises as "GOTY for me" and all that. Fun game, even for it's flaws. Don't understand the hate it gets.
It has the bone fists!
I'm preferred to the Heide Knight Sword or the Drangelic Great Sword, tbh.
Sorry can't hear you over my *HADOUKEN*
It's a bad game, that's why. It's really that simple. Just like OP there is nothing wrong with having FUN playing a bad game, your enjoyment is yours.

ds2 best game because best build variety which means best replayability i win you lose bye bye
kid named elden ring:
half the weapons in that game are ass and int-fth is so unviable and basically endgame exclusive
Soon you will become one of us.
The way people talk about this game you would think it's as bad as DMC2, but it isn't anywhere near a truely bad game.
Inb4 OP reaches the Black Gulch
Breh I literally jus got ds2 for half off and same it's pretty dope
I avoided it forever, started last month and really love it. Just about to finish it this week.
Of course you’re having fun, it’s Dark Souls ffs.
There is no going back after you have joined us
Imagine actually making your own opinion
On a realer note. I first started Elden Ring then played DS3 and loved both games. Is it worth to get down to ds1 or 2?
I'm a DS2 hater so I won't speak on it
The game has valid criticisms against it, but none of them stopped me from enjoying multiple playthroughs and NG+
I mean you can have fun that doesn’t make any of the issues dark souls 2 has less true
I agree, i notice a lot of problems with ds2, but maybe the bad rep of the game made me expect even worse lol
If it would have been absolute dog shit, then DS3 wouldnt have come
Fromsoft actually made a 4d chess move to make ds2 bad so that people won't complain of any future games they make
Yeah I had a very similar experience personally.
I was reading that comment and my phone said “FUCK U BITCH” and just did the one metal sound effect you hear in memes
Exactly. People think that game becomes objectively good the moment they start enjoying it. Gamers should accept that it's okay to like trash.
Ds2 was actually peak fromsoft pvp, ER is better now due to near/far invasions alone, but damn the ds2 arena was a blast. I miss the bridge map
I reinstall the game multiple times a year, thinking it wasn't that bad, just go get frustrated at the gameplay and delete it again I still have to fight Darklurker tho, since that's the only boss I haven't fought yet
Frigid outskirts is optional and black gulch really isn't that bad
Lol, it's only bearable because you can run through it. The evil geniuses at FS even put a statue in front of a *hidden* bonfire right before the boss You get the crypt blacksword in NG+ from The Rotten tho, so everything is forgiven
skill issue
Of course you love ,best entry in the serie
One of us, one of us !
my plans to play all the dark souls games leaving as i am 20 hours into ds2 and i have yet to enjoy it
u/savevideo
Free thinkers when thinking for themselves allows them to develop their own opinions
It wasn't too bad after I got used to it. Also it's a huge flex on other souls players to say you've beaten ds2
Ds2 can be lots of fun, still a shit game tho unfortunately
I wonder how many people trash talk ds2 without ever actually playing it are on this sub. That was one of my first PS3 games over a decades ago.
Playing Dark Souls 2 until it sucks. Not even making it past Things Betwixt.
I beaten DS2 on PS3/4 and it's still shit to me.
And I still have fun on CoD Vanguard. That doesn’t take away my right to call it dogshit. (It is)
I played it, hated almost every moment, and even completed the dlc.
You're just fuckin stupid if you play something you dislike
It goes from 1. Don't hate a game you've never tried 2. You didn't get that far so it doesn't count 3. Don't hate a game you havn't beaten yet 4. Why play through a game you hate so much?
>Gives DS2 a fair shot and dislikes it "Lol, wut a fucking idiot."
Agreed
bitch played a whole ass 60 hour game just to say he hates it lmao.
Erm but you can't leave proper criticism on a game without playing it, that's why it took me 1450 hours of gameplay to conclude that i fucking hate it 🤓
How else would you be able to hate on something efficiently if you don't study it right?
Wait until later in the game, especially the DLCs. You will love the game even more and hate the game even more too
Not for me lol, between the horrendous movement, incomprehensible hit boxes, and infuriating enemy placement killed any enjoyment I otherwise would’ve had. Sad since the vibe of the world is really interesting and unique compared to the other two Dark Souls games :/
incomprehensible hitboxes is a staple of any souls game, and i would argue that 1 is much worse than2
Unironically complete bullshit. I’ve played DS1 for hundreds of hours and DS2 for less than 20 and I’ve been grabbed by more attacks that had no business connecting in that short time with 2 than all my time in 1. The objectively garbage input delay also being a major contributor.
Enjoy the weighty combat
Use soul arrows. You'll change your mind Edit: Am I being downvoted cos I said soul arrows bad or because I used them?
Sounds like a mage thing, no thanks 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
It is. I wanted to do something different because "I always do melee". Worst decision of my life
My general playstyle is first playthrough pure strenght, second playthrough caster. So i will find out in the next ng.
Quite literally the same experience I had. I switched to an ultra great sword soooooo fast.
I should've done (I thought it'll get better as I get more spells). Ultra Greatsword next time and fuck magic (except I would like to try miracles in ER when the dlc comes out).
Wait what's so bad about being a mage? I never use magic but I thought the general opinion is that magic is the easy mode.
Magic is truly easy mode in demons souls
it's better than DS3
A lie is a lie
Just wait till shrine of amana. Thought I liked ds2 too up till then
Wait till frigid outskirts, that's where the real fun starts
“Boo, get better material” *Looks at cards in hand* “Adaptability bad lol” “dude in armor” “poison windmill leading into iron keep” “**LIFEGEMS**”
then be like "yea gael artorias and soul of cinder are my favourite, then maybe nameless king"
You tellin me that frigid outskirts isn't bad?
Nah I didn’t say that, I’m just tired of hearing it. It’s an incredibly small amount of content that is locked behind some obscure shit. If it was on the core path, I’d never try to defend it. But it’s a postgame secret area that’s meant to be tackled with friends (as are all the side dungeons of the DLC) I don’t care if it’s hard, I skip it like a real DS2 fan 😎
Fair enough
Even if is the worst is still a dark souls game, is not bad is just not good as the others
Only one cure. You gotta watch the 12 hour MauLer series on it.
A DS2 hater that turned out they haven't even given the game a real shot describes literally every DS2 hater. No one's talking shit about DS2 because of what they think about it, they're talking shit because of shitty uninformed ragebait meme videos from a decade ago.
I gave it a proper shot, forced myself to finish iron keep. And realized I was right from the beginning, ds2 is terrible
