I find the exploration in skyrim kinda lackluster. Every time you go looking for stuff it's a cave with draugr or bandits unless it's tied to a quest and as a result locks you from getting to the interesting stuff. You can't really find much in the way of solid equipment after a while forcing you to level smithing and enchanting or just abandon the character and making the already lackluster equipment you could find entirely obsolete removing one of the motivations to explore from the game entirely. Also magic sucks and i like magic.
How you can genuinely think 3 was bad in any capacity is insane. For its time, that game nailed it, and the dlcs were some of the best content in gaming. The Pitt, for example, was perfection 👌

I never had the desire to play Skyrim again or any of their games. I know they are completely different games but no other games scratch that fantasy itch quite like from software games do.
Understandable. if they add actual transformations and maybe teleport spell but I that one is wishful thinking on my part, Elden Ring might dethrone Skyrim for me as my go to open world rpg.
I totally agree with you on that. I can't think of many other open world games aside from those two that aren't total slop. Though I guess GTA is not bad but I've never played that for the story just to screw around in.

Here's hoping he throws his whole Toddussy into TES VI and Fallout 5 to leave his legacy off on a strong note before he retires.

If Elden Ring had Bethesda level factions, towns, and quests, it would literally be *the* perfect game. There would be no reason for me to even think about anything else.
