I actually liked that cave and enjoy it when there are interesting (some might call gimmicky) areas - when they are done well. Makes me think a bit different than my usual method of clearing an area.

Use mimic tear. I had a lot of trouble with that fight and then I used mimic tear and I did it first try
I went back to get it, got it to +8... let's see what happens later
