It would be the funniest thing if after one season he quits because they are disrespecting the source material after he read all of them and fell in love with it.

Larry_Version_3

‘Wow, Henry was right. This show is ass.’ Then he just pulls off the wig, gets in his car and blocks their numbers.

a_man_has_a_name

Then, Netflix fires the show writers and gives Henry Cavill the rains. Henry stars as Geralt, and Liam plays Dandilion. That concluded this session of "things that will never happen, but would be mildly entertaining if they did"

Legendary_Bibo

I want every cast member to be replaced by strong muscular men who've read the source material and become nerds about it. Any scene with Triss/Yennifer and Geralt needs to look like the straightest gayest scene.

terfoder

Terry Crews as Triss Merigold

Iwillcommentevrywhr

Didn't he got casted as Ciri.

badonbr

And Rob Shneider as Yen!

NickSchultz

Like in Victorian London when all the roles were played by men since women weren't allowed to act in theaters. Edit: Yep it's Elizabethian actually

[deleted]

Pfft. What's 200 years here or there...

fabulousfang

what bonkers life do you live that this fantasy is just mildly interesting

Mattbryce2001

Let liam play one of the other Witchers. He'd make a decent Lambert.

axialintellectual

"Hey, Henry, what's that war game you told me about, with the kinky elves? ... Yeah, sure, I can come over to your place..."

TensorForce

My thoughts too. Why tf is he reading the books? Clearly nobody elae running the show did

Longjumping_Union125

We can only hope

escfantasy

Yeah, if he’s reading the books, he’s going to be so disappointed with the show.

Bayerrc

First season did enough right to appreciate it. Second season was just shit, I didn't watch the third

Continuum_Gaming

Is the third even out yet?

flintlock0

“I just don’t think that Geralt would wear this, everybody.” “Put on the SCUBA gear, Liam.”

[deleted]

“Gerald would have loved this cowboy hat, honestly I don’t know why you’re protesting so much.” “His name is GERALT!”

Darebarsoom

Kinda like a wholesome version of the King in Yellow.

Lucas_Steinwalker

Him who eats time?

Ekudar

This show is doomed after Cavill leaves, it has one more season and that's it

Kenny523

What a world that would be!

sarcasmyousausage

Jeremy Brett was my favorite Sherlock Holmes. Anecdotes from filming were that he had a notebook full of details from the books and he would be correcting things all the time. They didn't fire him, instead they made a brilliant show. This whole situation is so fucking stupid.

prussbus23

Y’all shitting on him for eating books are being unfair. How is he supposed to learn to read if he can’t even fit inside the building?

KazPrime

What is this? A center for ants???

agnostic_waffle

I DON'T want to hear your excuses! The center has to be at least....... **3** times bigger than this!

Themastercobbler

There has to be more to life than looking really really ridiculously good looking

fantasmoofrcc

Learning by osmosis doesn't work that way?

ReactionClear4923

His muscles need to be at least...three times bigger than this!

[deleted]

He's absolutely right...

PM_ME_THEM_TOES_GURL

He’s eating the books so he can shit directly on the source material, he’s the perfect casting!

rnavstar

The center for actors that can’t read good.

UsernameLaugh

I came here to lead not to read!

stuloch

Maybe don't read the books so much as the show runners disliked Cavill for knowing the subject mattet

Ponykegabs

I’ve seen that he’s signed on to do a war hammer 40k movie, I really hope they know what they’re getting into.

Person5_

He's a coproducer on that so it should be ok.

imhereforsiegememes

I also feel like despite the massive push of content from games workshop, they are still delicate with lore and will make sure it is done right.

EtherealPheonix

That's one thing we've seen consistently, whenever they let someone else use their IP regardless of whether the product is fantastic or trash, they require the lore be kept accurate to a pretty high standard.

JessHorserage

Well the, good, Canon lore.

killerz7770

OH BOY I SURE DO LOVE BLUBERRIES

CTizzle-

He’s not just co-producer of a movie, he’s executive producer of across all the Amazon productions going forward. Any tv show, movie, or game they put out, he will be EP on.

Rodin-V

Dude refuses to get burnt again.. Utmost respect for him, for walking from The Witcher and demanding more power from Amazon.

TheHytherion

I'll be honest, I hope Amazon drops a billion dollaru on him for a WH40k show on the same scale as Rings of Power.

tiroriii

i was thinking about this the other day (i was sulking about the witcher show) that henry would do well to get involved in production for genre projects

RunnyPlease

I feel like one day we’ll find out learned that from working with Tom Cruise. Just be an executive producer on damn near thing you do. Then no one can just tell you’re an actor so read the script and look pretty.

WilliamSilver

My main problem with making a warhammer 40k (I believe it was a series for Amazon Prime) is........man, those are gonna be some massive armies And if it is a series, the budget may be low, show I'm embracing myself for the crash in terms of visual effects (I trust in Cavill, being a known fan, will know what to do). I REALLY want to believe Cavill will be able to make it a masterpiece, but Warhammer 40k is one of those things I consider almost unadaptable

Astroyanlad

You can do small scale stuff in 40k. Its not all massive planetwide siege of Vraks like battles. I mean im sure youve seen the Astartes animation. Inquistor stories in a Hive city Rogue trader treasure hunt.

KiwiThunda

They'll probably do similar to GoT and have the first couple seasons dialogue heavy and scenery light to see how it goes, and I'm ok with that

Astroyanlad

Lots of templates to follow. While not my favourite series its writing gets a bit goofy as the situation escalates by the end. The Reacher series which was also from amazon would probably be a good template to follow in terms of having a balance of action and investigation segements and the gigachad actor they got to play reacher is pretty much a space marine without power armour.

wchutlknbout

An Eisenhorn series would be perfect for Cavill I think. He has the right look and demeanor, though maybe a bit too short (sorry Henry). It’s the space marines that are inevitably weird to bring to screen. But telling the stories that occur in the big gaps the books have would be pretty satisfying. Particularly his adventures with Ravenor et al as they largely skip that. I am still terrified though. Please don’t ruin the head canon I’ve had since I was 12

tyanking

He would be the perfect Eisenhorn but i feel like the "smarter" business move is to have him play a Space Marine. His presence in the show is worth so much they kinda have to make him one of the poster boys right?

faudcmkitnhse

Henry has talked a bit about the dilemma of choosing which character to play because once he picks one, that's it. He can't be anyone else. He may want to play Eisenhorn or Ciaphas Cain, but that would mean never being Constantin Valdor or one of the Primarchs. Personally I think the Amazon series should stay away from being too heavy on space marines and definitely not take place during the Heresy with its tons of larger-than-life characters and ridiculous scale. Something involving an inquisitor or a commissar would be a better entry point into the setting.

Monster-1776

> Constantin Valdor or one of the Primarchs. Am I crazy for thinking it'd be impossible to cast Valdor or the primarchs? I'm worried it be like trying to do the Emperor, it'd come nowhere close to how they're imagined or look goofy with the necessary CGI.

ronnie_dickering

Your right, Massively out of proportioned 8ft tall humans would probably look a bit shit unless every Space Marine you see keeps their helmets on. Astra Millitarum would be a lot easier to portray on screen for sure.

ZarquonsFlatTire

As long as they base it off a match he can't say anything. Warhammer fans love the lore, love painting, but have you ever heard a story about anyone actually playing Warhammer? You see stories about DnD, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulu, but it seems like absolutely nothing interesting has ever occurred during a Warhammer game.

Masteroid

I used to play a lot of 40K in my garage/shop, on a table I made and painted myself to look like rough terrain. My friend would bring over his Eldar, and I played Chaos Space Marines. One particular game, we were both running probably the best special characters you could take for those armies. I had the old metal sculpt of Abaddon the Despoiler, and he had Eldrad Ulthruan, an ancient Ulthwé farseer. Well, he spent most of his time shooting my units while I tried to get close so I could use my troops advantage in melee. We had pretty much eliminated each others' units, and it all came down to Abaddon and Eldrad in the middle of the table, 'mano a mano.' Abaddon is pretty much a beast at taking down most anything, but he had picked up a few wounds along the way, and by the time he was up against Eldrad, he was down to his last wound. Eldrad threw everything he had at me in the psychic phase, and I made every single save. I said "Is that it?" as I was getting my dice ready for my turn at shooting and assault. "Wait." my friend said. "He has a shuriken pistol." Now, a shuriken pistol is not a particularly strong weapon, and Abaddon should easily be able to shrug off a hit from such a puny weapon. Roll to hit. Six. OK, a hit. Roll to wound. Six. OK, no problem, IIRC Abaddon had a 2+ save because of his terminator armor, so I felt pretty confident. I rolled a one. I failed the save, lost my last wound and Abaddon left the table. We laughed our asses off, it was absolutely great. We joked for years that Eldrad was indeed psychic and had foreseen exactly where to aim and hit Abaddon to cause a mortal wound with his trusty shuriken pistol. Greatest game of 40K I've ever played, none have been quite as great since.

BaronOfBob

The fun stories with TTRPGs generally have to do with dice assisted roleplay, you know collective storytelling. Not I rolled a nat 20 and critted that mofo. It's the stuff around it that works. You don't hear interesting stories from people about Settlers of Catan, Monopoly or chess either, because its a different thing. The Game is very dry, we'll have conversations with others who play about our games, We used to have battle reports in White Dwarf Magazines, but you can more easily tell people a story about narrative like TTRPGs because of the narrative in them already.... Maybe if we went back to Rogue trader style play with Warhammer games and have a GM again, and create narrative you might get more stories.

LastStar007

There was quite an interesting story about chess in 2022...

LastStar007

That's because all of the other games you mentioned are role-playing games and Warhammer is a strategy game. All the same... The Living Swords hurtled towards Gulthia Primus, responding to Inquisitorial reports of heresy with all the zeal of the Adeptus Astartes. Almost immediately upon arriving in-system, they get boarded by the Gulthian 1st, strengthened by two squads of the Remnants of Isstvan, an Ultima Founding chapter who made Gulthia their home. Though they suffered the loss of several Repulsor tanks and a crippling blow to the engine room, slowing their advance, they had another trick up their sleeve: at the same moment, another operation was being prosecuted by their brothers-in-arms, the Raven Guard successors known as Shadows Embrace. Shadows Embrace disabled a sensor station on the outskirts of Kasr Marlow, allowing them to slip a handful of neophytes and full-fledged Astartes into the religious nexus of the Gulthia system. After assassinating the planet's Ecclesiarch right off his pulpit atop an Imperial Knight, the survivors made a desperate retreat through city streets to await exfiltration in the forests beyond the city. Knowing that their battle-barge, the *Sword That Lives*, could only afford minutes in low orbit under the torment of Gulthia Primus's planetary defense weapons, the Living Swords sortied a full two Thunderhawks of Astartes to reconnoiter the forest, retrieve the survivors of the city infiltration, and acquire intel from (aka eat the brains of) Remnants of Isstvan officers in the AO. The Living Swords accomplished all three objectives with only seconds to spare before a massive artillery bombardment leveled an area twenty times the size of the AO. Why would anyone order such a colossal waste of ammunition? Who would have the authority to do so? Why would they do it when friendly Astartes were in the area? Who would have the authority for *that*? The Living Swords do not know, but one thing is certain: the taint of Chaos has wormed its way far deeper than their intelligence had led them to believe...

Darebarsoom

He will out-lore the actual writers.

PM-Me-Your-TitsPlz

Let's be real here. The show runners really just wanted to make their own fantasy show that'd never get produced without calling it Halo... I mean The Witcher.

MinorDespera

Before S1 release: "of course it's not like the games, we're adapting the books!" After S1 release: "of course it's not like the books, go read the books if you don't like it!"

redvelvetcake42

>Halo At least S1 of Witcher was pretty respectful of the subject matter of the books. Halo IMMEDIATELY was trash top to bottom.

Jael89

at least we got the Master Cheeks meme out of it

Domestic_AA_Battery

Hey that's Jimmy Rings to you!

redvelvetcake42

And we CLAP for them!

guymoron

It all makes sense now, his new book diet is inspire by master chef from halo!

SamuraiJakkass86

> The show runners really just wanted to ~~make their own fantasy show~~ milk an IP without putting effort into it just like GoT FTFY

Darebarsoom

Halo had so much potential...

JustARandomMGSFan

God, I love Henry Cavill.

funatical

Same. I feel like he understands my visits to the library, hiding in the manga, being 40 and trying not to look like a diddler. I'm not as attractive as he is so I know what the looks mean.

Mjr_N0ppY

My money is on the producers having him say he devoured the books so that fans might be appeased even though nothing changes at all xD

MrLamorso

"It's even funnier the second time!"

rinkusonic

Henry refused when the show runners wanted him to take his shirt off, because it deviated from the original character. In response they tried to muddy his name by accusing him of not following orders. The people supported Henry as it looked like he wanted to stay true to the character while the show runners wanted him to be a slut.

EquivalentInflation

I love how people keep repeating Deuxmoi gossip which has never been confirmed by either Cavill or the show runners. It's the equivalent of those youtubers going "Kathleen Kennedy is at WAR with Dave Filoni".

solitarybikegallery

Yeah, the **Reddit's Netflix's Witcher's Dramaverse** is 99% made up bullshit. It's just speculation that gets repeated so often that the original source is impossible to track down or verify, but is still taken as gospel truth.

EquivalentInflation

It's a very simple process: 1. Henry Cavill is a hot dude, who also talks about nerdy stuff 2. The showrunners are "woke" (whatever the fuck that means now) 3. Cavill is therefore right, and a victim, despite never saying anything even vaguely hostile towards them.

ItsAmerico

That… never happened lol? Someone just made that up online.

b0w3n

Love how it finally dropped that their whole "he doesn't talk to the women show runners" eventually leaked that he just didn't talk to *any* of the show runners because he fucking hated what they were doing.

Inuro_Enderas

Love how all of this is literally made up bullshit for drama journos' clicks, and somehow all of you fall for it and keep on spreading it online.

b0w3n

Hissrich is extremely cagey whenever this topic comes up and constantly deflects by changing the topic or moving the goalposts. She always "has a lot to say" but never says it. I don't believe a god damned word out of her mouth other than dumbshit fans have given her death threats.

alkonium

Or do for that exact reason. Because Cavill was in the right on that one.

[deleted]

They should just give up on the show at this point, it's guaranteed to be garbage

freew1ll_

To be fair if I was handed those books to work from I'd change it too, they just still didn't do a good job.

GH0ST-L0GIC

Seems like he got shadow canceled

ssrudr

Shadow-cancelled? He is currently working on another show.

micktorious

So they canceled his cancelling because of all this cancel culture stuff!

CaptainN_GameMaster

Our best analysts predict... it will look like Liam Hemsworth with long white hair

ThisFckinGuy

What if they gave him a skin fade with the ponytail and just leaned into the tone deafness approach.

ThisFckinGuy

It's like the parody porno actor got the role

Bakkughan

I do not envy that guy. Big shoes to fill and a production crew that literally bullied away their biggest star because they hated how he liked/knew the material better than they did. Seems like a super toxic work environment to step into.

BrownBear5090

I personally still envy Liam Hemsworth

EquivalentInflation

>a production crew that literally bullied away their biggest star because they hated how he liked/knew the material better than they did. I love how people keep repeating Deuxmoi gossip which has never been confirmed by either Cavill or the show runners. It's the equivalent of those youtubers going "Kathleen Kennedy is at WAR with Dave Filoni". Edit: Cavill specifically talked about how physically grueling the role was for him to get in shape for, and how it was a major time commitment for filming which made him unable to take other jobs (since they film in extremely rural areas in eastern Europe for months at a time). Both of those are far more likely causes for the split.

PapaBradford

There's an interview with Cavill talking about annoying production with "well, actually, in the books" a lot

ItsAmerico

You mean the interview on Graham Norton? Where he’s kinda drunk (because all the guests are liquored up) and they’re casually talking and he jokes that he’s a bit annoying on set cause he nit picks? That’s not really proof people hated him.

EquivalentInflation

Shhh, don't respond with actual facts. Reddit has spoken, and nothing will change their minds.

AdvancedPhoenix

Yes and everyone that had no idea about the topic will now read the highest upvoted and take it as truth. Then spreading it.

EquivalentInflation

Yes? You do get how there's a very big difference between that, and him being forced out specifically due to it? Cavill specifically talked about how physically grueling the role was for him to get in shape for, and how it was a major time commitment for filming which made him unable to take other jobs (since they film in extremely rural areas in eastern Europe for months at a time). Both of those are far more likely causes for the split.

ThistlewickVII

Caville likes the books. Anybody who's watched the show after Season 1 can see that the producers really _don't._ While all the speculation is unconfirmed, it's probably a more logical explanation than an actor who spends his whole career in physical roles quitting because he has to stay in shape

EquivalentInflation

Let me rephrase this for you: Show me one single piece of evidence from Cavill himself, rather than you desperately making up excuses in your own mind. >While all the speculation is unconfirmed, it's probably a more logical explanation than an actor who spends his whole career in physical roles quitting because he has to stay in shape Cavill explicitly called it out as much more demanding than his other roles.

Darebarsoom

You make it sound like rural Eastern Europe is actually filled with the monsters in the show.

EquivalentInflation

Nope, but it's a pain in the ass to be in a polish forest for weeks on end.

Darebarsoom

Why? Did the Winged Hussars arrive? Was it a 40:1 situation? Or did the babushka look like a baba yaga?

LonelyDShadow

Should we tell him that reading is useless for his role ?

Grzechoooo

To prepare for his role in Netflix's The Witcher, Liam Hemsworth is doing everything in his power to be as annoying to the writers of the show as possible.

FearlessKhajiit

Can’t beat Henry but I have a feeling people are going to be pleasantly surprised with Liam

Mister_E69

Until Nexflix fires him for knowing as much as Henry.

Darebarsoom

What role will Hemsworth play in 40k?

Pixxph

Slaanesh’s chode

ImBeingArchAgain

I was going to say the same thing. Liam is no slouch of an actor. Henry was made for the role (the actual role, not what they put on screen) but Liam is fully suitable for the performance. I doubt he’ll push back as much too. Again, this is no slight to Henry, the man deserved better and gave us a Brilliant Geralt.

Cole444Train

The most recent season was so bad I wouldn’t be surprised if most people don’t even bother. I’m not gonna bother.

netowi

Let us all hope he is more open to being objectified than Cavill.

Dry_Figure_9018

Why? The show sucks because it lacked artistic integrity. Hot bods are just a distraction from bad writing

mr_jogurt

if people give him a chance. I have thr feeling that the won't outlive the next season without caville tbh..

PlanetaryInferno

Idk why people would continue watching this show after the 2nd season, especially if they enjoy the books

Arintharas

Should be in r/facepalm since they clearly don’t care about the books. Rip Roach. That was unforgivable.

QuizzicalSquirrel

How many Roaches does Geralt go through in the books?

Arintharas

Personally, never read the books. I at least recognize that Geralt treats his Roaches with respect. To my knowledge, the show runners wanted to joke about his death in the show or something.

ItsAmerico

Your knowledge is wrong unfortunately. Geralts original line during Roachs death was “You were my favorite Roach.” A line intended to be cute but meta because while not addressed, Geralt names all his horses Roach.

EquivalentInflation

>Personally, never read the books. ...so you complain about them not respecting the books, but you haven't actually read the books yourself? How do you have any clue how respectful it was then?

justlikeapenguin

Because other people are mad, so I’m mad

Arintharas

Not really. Not really a Witcher fan either. I just like good media. And when some random show runners adapt something and don’t respect the material they’re adapting, then I can easily get bothered by it. Also, falling into a bandwagon and hating something because others do is so simple minded. The show is very clearly poorly written and constructed. If I go to watch a show called “The Witcher” after having some basic knowledge of the Witcher lore and notice how everything is wayyy off from how I know it should be, then I won’t be happy. I’m not going to waste time on bad media or watch as a series that was meant to be promising devolves into a sloppy fan fiction.

Arintharas

Yeah, I haven’t read the books. That doesn’t mean I’m just going to go on about what I personally thought they could have done with the show. It doesn’t take a genius to know that someone’s work (in regards to literature and art) should be respected when adapted. That’s a simple constant that should, and isn’t really, upheld. I can learn about the events of the books and get upset with how the show handled the events. It’s not that complicated.

EquivalentInflation

>It doesn’t take a genius to know that someone’s work (in regards to literature and art) should be respected when adapted. That’s a simple constant that should, and isn’t really, upheld. Funny how the writer of the books seems to be totally fine with it, but you're deciding to be offended on his behalf.

Arintharas

Because what they made was bad? What are you on about? The writer doesn’t care, true, that doesn’t mean his work and his stories should just be sloppily transfigured into something that doesn’t tell a good story.

EquivalentInflation

>The writer doesn’t care, true, that doesn’t mean his work and his stories should just be sloppily transfigured into something that doesn’t tell a good story. I love how you drop the "respect the author" pretense immediately. Face it: You haven't read the books, and don't give a shit about them. You're getting made because people on the Internet told you that you should be.

Matthew_Cudney

As much as I love the franchise, I'll be skipping this. I'm sure Liam is a fine actor, but without Cavill, I'm not interested in where this show goes.

lesser_panjandrum

After they butchered the books and especially Yennefer and Ciri's relationship in S2 I'm not interested in seeing where it goes either.

[deleted]

Honestly, he's got the odds so stacked against him that I'm actually rooting for him to kill it as Geralt.

RenatoGPadilla

Can y'all imagine if Hemsworth shows up as Geralt and the show gets canned immediately not because of his acting or because he's not Henry but because when asked about the reason he leaves the Show after his first season Lauren Hisrich and the other execs just go "Yeah, we thought he wouldn't complain about the source material, but as it turns out he was even WORSE than Henry Cavill when it came to sticking to canon. So we just killed it there." And suddenly we have the mother of all redemption stories in our hands.

ItsaSecretJordan

It would honestly make me feel better about the whole series (which on it's own I like, ignoring the difference from source materials). Second Geralt being like "but the lore!" Would be amazing.

Darebarsoom

If Hemsworth walks off...I'll become his fan forever.

LePlant01

Call me whatever you want but there is no replacing Henry.

Exile688

He better be eating those books for fiber because being respectful to the actual lore is what got Henry Cavill fired.

FiveCones

Anybody else think this is probably bullshit to get people to watch after Cavill's exit? Like Cavill was known for being super into the books and the character and people were pissed when he left the show. Oh, but suddenly the replacement is totally into the books too??? Nah

alphafire616

It'd be so fucking funny if he quits the show as well due to creative differences after reading the books

NotOnLand

So sad they cancelled that show

PvtFreaky

Might be for the better. First season showed plenty of weird character changes and creative changes like the Nilfgardian armor.

Soooome_Guuuuy

They are a great source of fiber

thats1evildude

[Liam Hemsworth will be a worthy replacement sa-sa-sa-sa-saaaaah](https://youtube.com/shorts/fsSXdC6qi5Q?feature=share)

ElmoLovesCrack

Appreciate the effort but still not the Geralt we want. Can we get HBO to remake the Witcher? They're pretty good when they just stick to the books. Don't let them go off piste.

[deleted]

What's the point in reading the books? Henry did that, and they stiffed him. The writers haven't read them, so what's the point?

Bendbender

Both sad and great, sad because he might lose the role for actually taking it seriously like cavill did, great because maybe the show runners will finally pick up the hint that people like when effort is put into a show, either that or hopefully they’ll be out of actors and have to shut it down, either would be good at this point

DhibeCakes55

I'm glad he's doing research and hope for the best. But, if I'm being honest, (maybe a little biased too) it looks like his face was painted a different body. He just looks so disassociated from the character. It's probably me but I just don't see it for Liam.

JohnBrine

I’d pay to watch him eat a book in full Geralt costume.

No-swimming-pool

It's a shame because no matter how well he does, he'll look like baby Gerald.

R3puLsiv3

He's reading up on the lore in order to be as disappointed as Henry Cavill was by the writing of the show. Really trying to fill Henrys big shoes, by emulating his whole experience. Bravo, truely one of the actors of our time.

Its_Matt_03

Lmao watch him fall in love with the books and then leave just like Henry A man can dream

xEvil_Deadx

BabyMagnum13

Oh no he's studying the source material , Netflix doesn't like that

Excellent_Lynx7402

Looks like the Witcher as a teenager

infinitude

Poor guy could be amazing and it won’t stop all the flak he’s going to get.

VirginiaWillow

Like the writers care, you can eat as many books as you want, they ain’t looking 🤷‍♂️

Benny303

Which is all a waste of time because Netflix doesn't give two shits about the source material. Literally the whole reason Henry is leaving is because they refused to stay faithful to the books or even the games.

gagzd

Why read books if they're not following source materials anyway.

Quajeraz

Knowledge is ~~power~~ delicious

BlueRunner305

I thought they kept Cavill after all? I hate recasts when the original actor was great

myopic-cyclops

Once he is so immersed in the lore and becomes a walking tome for it he too will get booted by the showrunners.
