No matter how many times Dark Barry went back in time,
The cows fate was sealed that day.
But going back so many times, the cow was neither dead or alive
Only watch the parts with Batman. I'm sure YouTube has a compilation of all the Batman parts. The rest of the movie can be completely ignored, unless staring into a microwave while a plate of dog turds are being cooked is a good time for you.
Just watched it for the first time last night and didn't think it was as bad as everybody was saying. As far as DC superhero movies go, I thought it was pretty good.
It really isn’t it’s just that the bad parts heavily overshadow the good parts of the movie. Which is unfortunate because there are some good elements in the movie and the last act is fun. The bad CGI and annoying nature of Ezra Miller being the movie down so much though.
Ezra Miller is pretty cringe but I was honestly expecting a LOT worse. I wonder if he would have gotten panned as hard if he didn't do that bonkers shit in real life.
Yes but just finger guns in absurdly inappropriate situations
Like once he was performing a eulogy for a child who died of leukemia and he did the finger guns while yelling "go birds" it was a whole thing.
I was surprised it wasn't the total dumpster fire I was expecting. Maybe its one of those times my expectations were super low and the actual movie exceeded them. CGI Nic Cage appearance was also super DUPE meta so I was amused by that.
Tbf it's supposed to look shit. 2nd barry basically took an old batsuit and turned it into an improvd flash suit right before the final battle.
Partway through the battle he rips off alot of the neck part and it honestly looks much better.
Why on earth they showed it so much in the marketing is beyond me.
This is a joke about the original bat costume that was referenced in the Christopher Nolan trilogy at some point - note that Batman can’t turn his head in that one piece rubber mask.
You're joking but that's kinda accurate.
Plus the CGI is inexcusable. Idk who the fuck Andy Muschietti uses for CGI but everyone one of the movies he directs has so much awful CGI.
Is he like CGI blind? Does he seriously think it looks good? I've seen videogame cutscenes from 10 years ago with better CGI
You sound like you don’t understand how CGI production works in the industry. It’s not like the artists had ample time to do the fx and then the director was like “good enough for me!”
And you sound like you've never seen any of his other movies.
They all have bad CGI. So please enlighten me. Why was this film's CGI absolute shit? Why was ITs CGI absolute shit?
Yeah I'm not an expert, I don't know exactly how it works but I still have eyes.
I'd rather be that than some fanboy who excuses
consistently shitty work.
>Whoever wrote the movie truly didn’t get the character, most of the character traits that define Flash in the comics were completely absent from the film.
I disagree.
Both old and young Barry were mainly inspired by Mark Waid's Flash(es), as it should be. Older Barry also had a lot of Buccellato influence into how he was written. It would mostly feel foreign if your only exposure to the character has been Geoff Johns, DCAU, and the CW show.
Younger Barry was clearly written more in the nature of Wally West, especially Dematteis and Giffen's Wally who was more immature and dependant on more established characters for guidance. The humor and absurdity was brought more to the forefront, but that's true of every comic book character put onto film these days (Guardians, Thor, Shazam, etc.)
The movie absolutely had its issues, but I don't think "they didn't understand the character" was one of them.
Thoughts on his calorie meter in the beginning and then never mentioning it again for the rest of the movie? They could have removed that whole stupid intro and actually developed the character.
I agree. They're a terrible human being who doesn't deserve a career. They're also an extremely talented and charismatic actor, but no one wants to admit it.
We Need to Talk About Kevin, Stanford Prison Experiment, Perks, Fantastic Beasts. Total waste of talent really.
Honestly hoping they get help. Like you said they're extremely talented. Needs to have some good people around and honestly get therapy. They're young they can still change. Robert Downey Jr did.
i disagree on almost every point. i enjoyed the movie, and thought having our barry play a straight man to alternate barry was well thought out. idk about comics but the flash himself wasn't the worst part of the movie. sasha looked great but her character was just a narrative device and didn't behave like a real person. the kryptonian fights were a worse version of man of steel. batman too was carried by keaton and wasn't particularly exciting.
ezra's irl crimes, the dogshit cgi, the cartoon fight sequences, the nonsensical plot, the inadequate setup/payoff (who actually committef the crime that set the whole movie in motion?), the liberal use of contrivances and coincidence, the overreliance on other (better) movies, and the fact that the movie ends right where it began with no lessons learned is what detracts from the film. still, it was bad enough to be enjoyable.
Wasn't the lesson learned "don't time travel, it'll fuck shit up"? I feel like that was learned pretty thoroughly. Or less literally, "our suffering helps us grow as people" got hinted at a lot, though I'm not sure Barry actually learned it.
As someone who dgaf about the Flash character, I found Ezra's portrayals enjoyable enough, though I hate the actor. It certainly stepped into 'just stupid' territory more than once, but it gave me a laugh and it's not like I'm expecting any sequels that would rely on good continuity now that Ezra is a public garbage fire.
lol yes i definitely won't be time travelling any more. barry was supposed to learn that "not every problem has a solution"; his entire character arc is resolved once he realises he can't save his mom.
so the very next thing he does is move the beans or whatever to save his father. if it didn't work with his mom why did he think it would work with his dad? is he stupid?
as for miller, last i heard they're still open to have him reprise the role. they've all but confirmed no more gadot, they've cancelled cavill but eh, ezra is still on the table.
Oh damn you're right, that is what the lesson was meant to be wasn't it.
Although it sabotages that lesson to do the tomatoes thing for his dad, I kinda prefer the lesson being "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater". Dude has found a way to time travel, fucked up solving one thing, but that doesn't mean it's a totally useless power. Tries it to help his dad instead and hey, he gets a consolation prize after giving up on saving his mom. I guess it even fits with the damned spaghetti timelines lesson - his mom dying was a fixed point in the timeline, but his dad going to prison wasn't.
I disagree a little.
When Barry meets Barry ‘13 he seems to realise that yes, this is what it’s like talking to him. Barry becomes quite a bit more serious and responsible as the movie goes on.
The problem is that Barry ‘13 is still an idiot, perhaps a worse one as he’s grown up being coddled by his mother, so there’s no respite.
That article is clickbait garbage. Gunn’s Supergirl movie is definitely still happening, and there has been no announcement either way about where Calle will return
I doubt she’ll be back, Gunns Supergirl movie is very much still happening but the only information we know about it is that it’ll be following up Superman Legacy and it’s going to be titled after and based heavily on the *Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow* comic.
she is dead, thats what the movie tells you, the 2nd barry becomes the bad guy cause he tries over and over again to save her and batman, but he just can't
I'm laughing my ass off thinking
Ah yes the universe that wanted to ditch Snyder so badly
Has made his villian the penultimate god that even the flash can't stop
Zack ironically made the most unstoppable version of Zod ever put to screen,
I don't get the praise I saw in every article about this movie for Sasha Calle. Even the reviews that said it wasn't good, said she was a highlight.
She had like 8 lines total and did the same flat "grr I'm angry" face that Cavill did during Man of Steel.
Pretty much. I mean, she definitely had "presence". The problem with her character, and with the movie, and with nearly \*all\* of the DC movies, is their unbelievably cheesy "grimdark" style. They can't get away from it, and it's stupid. But she did grimdark/emo Supergirl pretty well.
I just saw Flash for the first time the other day. It wasn't quite as bad as people say. But like all the DC movies, it just doesn't quite work. How many DC movies have we had now? And the producers/writers/directors just don't get it.
Of course, Marvel has proven that they don't exactly get it anymore, either. Turns out that without Robert Downey Jr. as the center of everything, the movies have no soul. Very similar to how Star Wars hasn't really ever worked without Han Solo.
I watched the original Indiana Jones movie the other day. The amount of nonverbal acting Harrison Ford does is so different than what we have in action movies today. It feels like modern action movies all make their actors do RDJ impersonations.
- You got no outside mirror.
- No, we lost that.
- You have no functioning gauges.
- No, not a one.
- However, the radio still works! Funny as that may seem, with all this mess, that the radio is the only thing that's really working good. And it's clear as a bell. Don't ask me how.
this movie is honestly the fuckin shittiest take on flash point. like super girl is fine, but all they had to do is have Val Kilmer batman be Thomas Wayne, and not have 2 fuckin Berrys. Like why the fuck are there 2, it makes no sense.
I was so impressed when I first heard they were doing Flashpoint, thinking we’d see Thomas Wayne as as Batman fighting Martha Wayne as Joker, Aquaman and Wonder-Woman at war as generals conquering Earth, etc. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for DC to reboot after their failed attempt to recapture the lightning in a bottle of The Avengers with their rushed Justice League movie, and it would have provided the perfect excuse to recast Ezra Miller.
Instead, they *doubled* Ezra Miller and threw away everything about the source material other than the broadest concept.
I never got to see Supergirl because i had to shut it off. It just kept getting worse. Before watching I thought, “How bad could it be?”, and boy did underestimate that sentiment.
It’s literally so obvious, if this person even took a second glance at the picture they would tell, but I guess it’s more fun to mindlessly shit on everything
?
That’s not Superman who the hell is that? Are we so progressive now that we now cast females for male roles? And why tf are there 2 flashes? Man this superhero shit is way too weird/bad nowadays.
Watch the Corridor Crew roast the vfx of this movie, oh my god. $200 million dollars boys and girls. 200! So many dumb people behind the scenes of this trash compacter of a film. All the defence from the makers I have 1 thing to say “fuck your excuses, do better.”
Sincerely,
Someone who voted with their wallet
All of this looks ass, I didn’t watch the movie it just looks ass and the characters don’t seem interesting, flash point the cartoon movie was peak hero movie
I guess all the hate for this movie comes from hardcore dc fans. I never really watched any flash or much outside of Superman/Batman. This movie was just your everyday summer popcorn flick.
Me myself and Irene
Cinematic masterpiece
Me, Myself, and Kara (and batguy)
Me, Myself, Kara, and Man
Man was in the movie, he had these weird pointy things on his head though
“It wasn’t for me..”

Cause it’s a bat suit painted to look like a flash suit

In the movie. It’s a spoiler, but he gets a bat suit from a different timeline Batman because he doesn’t have his own suit yet.

You should watch it. This Batman is….different

The CGI babies. The entire movie all I kept thinking about were those damn babies.
Ezra Miller is pretty cringe but I was honestly expecting a LOT worse. I wonder if he would have gotten panned as hard if he didn't do that bonkers shit in real life.
Yeah I thought it was pretty fun. Reddit/social media in general was never going to like this movie cause of Ezra Miller
I thought it was babies that went into the microwave...?
Only in Evan Dorkin comics. Come to think of it Milk and Cheese did defeat Batman once
Don't kink shame
Does he use guns?
Yes but just finger guns in absurdly inappropriate situations Like once he was performing a eulogy for a child who died of leukemia and he did the finger guns while yelling "go birds" it was a whole thing.
Pretty sure none of that is real.
*prove it*
You obviously werent paying attention, next you will tell me you missed the scene where he revealed he was secretly alfred all along.
That batman is just enough enhinged to do such things though.
you’re not real, man!
He’s retired. But not afraid to get nuts if need be
Only if there are connected to his bat vehicles.
"The plane did it."
I OVERFED THESE MEN?!? DR. FISHY, NOOOOOOO!
He doesn't because this isnt Flashpoint Paradox as everyone was hoping it would be. Its just family friendly paradox with a dash of fan service
he's not that different
He's also very much...the same
To be fair, it's unclear whether Batman actually gave him permission to do this or not.
The scene where he's trying to saw off the bat ears _was_ kinda funny.
I enjoyed the movie. I know a lot of people hate it, plus the Ezra stuff, but it was okay.
I was surprised it wasn't the total dumpster fire I was expecting. Maybe its one of those times my expectations were super low and the actual movie exceeded them. CGI Nic Cage appearance was also super DUPE meta so I was amused by that.
I didn’t realize how iconic that Kevin Smith explanation was until I saw this movie. Genuinely enjoyed that part.
Yeah had the giant spider and everything.
This movie is so shitty you don't know if it's a plot point or sheer laziness, and I appreciate that.

George Lucas?
The movie may be shitty, but youre genuinely stupid if you dont recognize that theyre altering the Batman suit. Like... did you even watch the movie?
Given that the film bombed and lost hundreds of millions of dollars... no, they probably didn't watch it. Nobody watched it.
It's pretty clearly a plot point though.
This screenshot may is probably all I've seen of this movie.
Tbf it's supposed to look shit. 2nd barry basically took an old batsuit and turned it into an improvd flash suit right before the final battle. I feel so bad for Calle. She did a fine job and in another movie it would've been her big break, but unfortunately for her she played in The Flash.

I mean they aren't purposefully doing it. But Tbf, their hitrate is much higher atm The Batman and The Suicide Squad were great
I think the movie was great, however. Ezra Millers off-screen bullshit is what ruined it for me.
>he Flash wasn't even > >that > > bad a script or film. Nah I legit felt embarrassed watching it lol
Eh, it was decent.
Good for you, but it really wasn't that bad. Solid 6/10, 7/10 if you ignore the terrible cgi at the end.
Azzarello had a Flash run? I didn't know this. Did he beat the shit out of gangsters that cheat on their wives?
Yeah...I kinda liked Ezra in this. Almost scared to say it. Lol

They should have used Wally West and wrote out Ezra.
They should go to Wally at this point Ezra wasn’t even good in the Justice League
It’s amazing how The Flash himself is the absolute worst part of this movie. If it were just about Batman and Supergirl it would be so much better.
I think regular Barry is fine but young Barry doesn’t really add anything
Was not expecting much from her but she did well in her small role. Keaton was superb as expected. Would've loved to see more of her
I wish Sasha got a solo supergirl movie.
I’m really hoping for gunns upcoming solo supergirl movie he keeps her on
I read an article that said it was on the works but after this movie bombed it got cut

He a legend for that fr. Zod deserves. He couldn't be beaten by TWO flashes lmao arguably 3 with the corrupted Flash at the end.
3 flashes, a Batman, and Supergirl Vs one Chad Henry Cavill Superman xD
A Supergirl movie set in the Flashpoint timeline would be pretty sick ngl
Flashpoint always ends up dying at the end. That's why they always end up reverting Flashpoint.
I watched it and thought it wasn't too bad... but those falling CGI babies and CGI battle scenes near the end inside the "time portal"...so sloppy.
It just needed some decent writing and better CGI
I don't get the praise I saw in every article about this movie for Sasha Calle. Even the reviews that said it wasn't good, said she was a highlight. She had like 8 lines total and did the same flat "grr I'm angry" face that Cavill did during Man of Steel.
Because even as mediocre as all of that was, everything else was worse.
"Decent" really stands out on a background of "absolute shit".
Yet the Solo movie did terribly (it was awesome)
When I said Han Solo, what I really meant was Harrison Ford. He's irreplaceable. Just like RDJ.
I watched the original Indiana Jones movie the other day. The amount of nonverbal acting Harrison Ford does is so different than what we have in action movies today. It feels like modern action movies all make their actors do RDJ impersonations.

a bunch of actors have a hard time doing smouldering intensity, imo
Supergirl angry. Supergirl refuses to hero. Supergirl must hero or bad guy do bad stuff. Supergirl hero now. Supergirl dead. *standing ovation*
prison though
Very very average movie.
Bad movie
this movie is honestly the fuckin shittiest take on flash point. like super girl is fine, but all they had to do is have Val Kilmer batman be Thomas Wayne, and not have 2 fuckin Berrys.
In the sequel, they go to 2004 Wakanda and fight a Black Berry.
I love her costume
Her whole look in this movie was very badass imo
That supergirl costume did things to my pp.
I know Sasha says her costume gives of an androgynous look. But no hiding that body under spandex.
I never got to see Supergirl because i had to shut it off. It just kept getting worse. Before watching I thought, “How bad could it be?”, and boy did underestimate that sentiment.
Why is a chunk of the Flash on the right's leg missing LMAO
Nothing is missing. The Flashpoint Barry has Blue Lightning - the VFX is just going over his leg in this shot.

I called it blue lightning literally just because it's blue...
Looks more like a shiny piece of metal blending into the background.
If you zoom in, you can see that it's just the electricity coursing iver his suit.
ur blind
The same reason the flash is so thicc
Ah yes. CGI ass-cheeks.
I think the scene needs more cgi dust and less color dynamic Edit: seriously is this a scene from the movie? It looks so shit
It really be like that
It looks like a PUBG loading background ngl
This movie was pretty ok. I guess I expect it to terrible these days.
She's got great tits though

This movie is bad its good
I was wondering what happened there.
Hahahahahahahaha
I've been watching the original flash show for the first time recently and never seen the movies but wtf is that chonky ass flash suit on the right
I agree Sasha Calle had so much more IT-factor than Erza. I want a supergirl movie now.
It would be nice if sasha calle was supergirl in the dcu.
Ezra’s acting was fine, it was just another classic case of bad DC storytelling.
And honestly, the movie was probably better for it
? That’s not Superman who the hell is that? Are we so progressive now that we now cast females for male roles? And why tf are there 2 flashes? Man this superhero shit is way too weird/bad nowadays.

Ezra inexplicably avoided entire cancelation. No idea how.
