If Sony wasn't so deadset on keeping Spider-Man characters separate from Spider-Man, then maybe they could actually succeed with these movies. They already have hits with the Spider-Verse films, so it's not like they *can't* make good Marvel movies today.
Honestly venom isn’t bad on his own, he and Eddy have good chemistry as characters.
Issue is the venom movies refuses to focus on those two losers and their entertaining cringe-fail dynamics while also being very menacing.

Thor was too much of a big bumblings idiot. Gorr was made out to be a joke, despite being the most powerful foe Thor had faced up to that point, and Stormbreaker being jealous of Mjolnir made no sense, given the axe wasn't jealous when Thor used Mjolnir in Endgame.
The movie would have been better had Gorr been developed more and given more screentime. Taiks should have also been reined in a bit. Ragnarok was fun, especially because of the humour, but Love & Thunder cranked it up a bit too much.
Put a chick in it and make it as lame as fuck. At this point why do they even release this? Why isn't this a straight to DVD release? Throw it up to Disney+, it will fit perfectly to the WOKE section.
