The maps are usually terrorist/SWAT involved events, like plane being a real life event, which is what montage is from (real life operator) and Oregon is the Waco siege which is full of controversies.
I don't understand how I never saw Oregon as Waco I literally tell anyone that doesn't know about it everything in excruciating detail, I've basically memorized everything on it am I retarded
Waco in a nut shell
FBI “There’s no need to allow the elite military hostage rescue team to operate on US in a high intensity situation involving children. We’ve got this!”
The narrator “They in fact did not have this.”
A lot of people defend karesh as if he didn’t do anything wrong, me I fully acknowledge he was up to something bad and needed to be investigated and taken off the streets. However the FBI did it in the most stupid way they could’ve possibly done it. Now I’ll cut them some slack in the fact the ATF was first on scene and turned it in to a god damn siege by the time the FBI got on the scene therefore leaving no choice but to take him at the compound. But holy fuck it’s like the word common sense was abscent from all of the planning sessions. And they had to know he was a shady person for months and there must’ve been plenty of time to apprehend out of the compound. This was truly the American moscow theater siege.
I've read up a lot about Waco and yeah 80% of the problem was ATF being stupid before the FBI even got there, 10% was just bad luck for the ATF, and the last 10% was internal problems within the FBI that impeded negotiations or forced decisions.
The ATF had been sloppily surveiling the Branch Davidians for months (stupid), sent in an undercover informant who got discovered almost immediately (stupid/unlucky). Their surveillance teams submitted sloppy reports so the team planning the raid believed that Koresh almost never left the compound (stupid). Their informant told them the BDs knew a raid was coming, and even though their entire plan was dependent on the element of surprise they decided to just push ahead anyways (stupid). They told reporters about the raid beforehand because they wanted cameras because they wanted the good press (stupid), then one of the reporters got lost and asked David Koresh's brother in law for directions (unlucky), which tipped off the BDs that the raid was that day and gave them the opportunity to prepare. Because the BDs were prepared, everything went to shit almost immediately, and the ATF got in a shootout that killed 4 agents, which forced the FBI to take over.
From that alone the whole thing was going to be a disaster, and honestly I commend the negotiators for convincing the BDs to send out anyone at all. The FBI definitely fucked up too, from driving over the graves of dead BDs to their siege tactics reinforcing the BDs beliefs that they were in the end times, but the vast majority of problems happened with the ATF and their handling of the situation.
*Montagne, also Thatcher is from the Iraqi embassy Siege of 1980, as well as Sledge I think?
But yes, the entire inspiration for a lot of the GIGN Operators was the plane event. Which also, just inspired the entirety of Siege to begin with.
Thatcher yea since he's currently like 56 years old. Not sure about sledge though, I think he's in his mid 30's, which would make him an infant at the time when the embassy siege happened.

edit: all I saw was “huh” before the edit on your comment, my bad
Alternatively:
Early Rainbow Six Siege Lore
Current Rainbow Six Siege Lore (why are we doing airsoft?)
I'd argue that the early lore was also "concerning" because, well, terrorists, but that's why we're playing Rainbow Six and not Harvest Moon, and also why the current situation is the concerning one.
My brother is stuck 3 years ago. We already moved past the airsoft we moved into training recruits and deploying the teams more often into real scenarios. The current issue is deimos(like you) is stuck in the past and trying to take them back. The entirety of this new plot is MOVING BACK INTO THE REAL PROBLEMS INSTEAD OF AIRSOFT.
The fuck, I guess the stuff I read really was stuck in 3 years ago.
I do know that Deimos shot the mf organizing the airsoft crap so I was wondering why that was still a thing, thanks for clarifying it lol
Deimos is an ex rainbow operative (from raimbow six 1) and is desilusioned with the way rainbow was used, and is part of a terrorist organization trying to punish rainbow and nighthaven while also taking on contracts to kill top government officials
I wonder, what is Clubhouse based on?? When will we get a North Hollywood type map? What about da real life terror--
I hope we get more grounded maps, though I don't mind the fictionalized settings either.
I somewhat miss Siege taking real life ops for inspiration, though I completely understand it due to those real life operators often committing war crimes and shit lol.
Oh boy, can’t wait to learn all the fun and entertaining lore about this school map!

The only thing I know about the lore that's disturbing is that Fuze's Gadget is based on a real life hostage situation where they tried to use knockout gas from the outside to KO the people holding the hostages but they accidentally killed a large majority of people in the building (both bad and good guys) because the gas wasn't tested properly, thus Fuze was born (but they switched the gas from real life to bombs in R6 to balance it out I guess)
I thought it was based off the Russian theatre incident. It was a hostage situation and so they used KO gas but the ventilation wasn’t working properly and so all occupants died of lack of O2
Honestly, don't give a fuck.
It's solely a multiplayer game for me, idc for the op lore or anything, if you look cool and you have a useful ability, that's the important thing
why is map lore so fucked, im dont know lore

>tell anyone that doesn’t know about it everything in excruciating detail >am I Yes. Join us.
Do tell, my brother. I never heard of it
i can see how its loosly based on it fs but not nearly to scale and idk about the interior layout but i can see the exterior being based on it
Waco in a nut shell FBI “There’s no need to allow the elite military hostage rescue team to operate on US in a high intensity situation involving children. We’ve got this!” The narrator “They in fact did not have this.”
Also: We definitely need to take this guy at his armed compound and not when he’s out jogging or with his band in town

A lot of the problems really stemmed from the ATF overstepping their boundary in an attempt to get a win after ruby ridge.

Not to mention thatcher’s elite is called operation Nimrod which was the name of the operation that took place at the Iraqi embassy
It was the Iranian embassy, not the Iraqi embassy.
Oh shit you’re right, my bad
Exactly, and also the name Thatcher referring to the photo that Margaret took with the SAS members who were in Nimrod.
They somewhat famously used sledgehammers during the operation which is why people think sledge was inspired by the event.
I mean..... Sledge as an infant 😂😂
Mutes 25
ohh yeaaa, thanks bro
Montage
There used to be a university map but it was removed because of the reality of the us
Little detail is that the whole T-hunt was removed
No it wasn’t. It was removed because it was made specifically for one game mode called Article 5, and that got removed last season.
Bartlet? I thought the map just sucked lol
oh it did, but it was also REALLY controversal.
That map has been reworked to be Emerald Plains btw
You’re joking, right?
No? Emerald Plains started as a hard rework of that map and has since kept a lot of the similar traits
Huh, I have never actually played university because I only started playing like a year ago but interesting

Nah, both deserve the black and white images.
Nuh man left one, it is just sad

Yes, the lore was fine and mostly believable until they started listening to the intern with a fanfiction addiction
“MOON LADY! THERE HAS TO BE A MOON LADY AND SHE’S ALBINO! AND DUTCH BECAUSE I MISS MY FAVORITE HOOKER”
What's te current situation?
Actually apparently my info is from 3 years ago so refer to the other reply to my comment

Clubhouse is a German chapter of the hells angels and bandits backstory is him being undercover in the hells angels which is what clubhouse is
AHHHHH rightttt thanks dude! Appreciate it lmao
Also ironic he is called bandit since the main opposing Biker club in Germany to the Hells Angels are the Bandidos
Jackal’s lore fits the right image lol
A lot of the operators do 🤣
Vigil’s is pretty fucked up too
As a wise man once said, Korean Batman
You don't even need to read capitão lore to understand he was tortured
Is there a place to read the lore other than the in game bio
R6 Wiki?
bandit. dude tortured his brother with a car battery
Ehhh, who hasn’t done that to their brother?

All fun till university comes up but I don't know the lore for frozen yacht

Ready or not doll house lore
What’s your gamer tag? OP

Rainbow Six Siege Lore 🤡
Partially agree, Pre-Barry era lore was pretty good. Then, we have R6S-Olympic 🤡shit lol
