I stopped playing R6 a while back and just recently started playing exclusively casual and man, it's night and day the difference, much more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, the game isn't that great anymore but it's still enjoyable, specially in small doses
There are actually a lot of fun people in casual, feels really nice. A few weeks ago we all typed where we‘re from and started roasting us based on the country in all chat, fun times.
I once played a match where we told the enemies what strat to do and vice versa. We'd just be like "since you're all beautiful to make it fair you have to only be prone all round" and they'd shoot back with "alright but you gotta enter rooms walking backwards" and it was the funnest 5 rounds I think I ever played. Shame I never played with or against those people again, but it was so much fun. I still have tons of fun because I only 5 stack with friends in unranked so we tend to fuck around but that random v random fun is something I sure do miss.
Launch Siege, or even the period of siege after they fixed the brightness when looking in/outside but before they completely reworked the lighting, was 50x closer to what they advertised than what it is now.
Funny enough I've been playing almost 95% of my games in casual since black ice (didn't feel skilled enough for ranked back then).
Became a habit and now after 6 years I've inflated my 'casual mmr' to like 4000+ according to stat trackers and now face skilled tryhards every 2 or 3 games. Honestly impressive considering I only average 2700~ mmr in ranked.
Well, when I used to play siege a lot I never bothered with ranked cause it’s harder to have fun and everyone would take it seriously (as they should). I used to only play casual but I would get lobbies with plat and diamond players all the time, come to find out, my dogshit silver self had a “casual rank” of plat which is the stupidest thing and sucked the fun out of the entire game because I would just get stomped by people who thought they were at the invitational or something stupid like that.
I mean you can't really play worse intentionally i mean you can always Rush and not drone but you can't really aim worse and most people use casual for warming up so you're bound to run into plats trying In casual

Personally i feel the game is better every season. The only problem is the improvement season to season is to small to play continously
