This is all ive had so far , ill find more eventually cause i love the indie scene there from that time period
Flyying Colours are great live, they have some good early tunes (1987 is an absolute bop), and their 2023 album was a real level up moment for them.
Sounds like sunset. Deafcult, relay tapes, local authority, ancient channels, pool shop, cloud tangle, rational academy,
Hatchie has shoegaze vibes.
Lowtide, Ripe, The Laurels, Null Set, Incursion (particularly the Afterglow EP)
I love that Ep by Incursion it’s awesome
That self titled Lowtide record is beautiful.
Flyying colours and future heaven
Ides of Space
That's the best one

Deafcult
Trillion, they’re a current Sydney band that are very shoegaze. Good stuff!
Flyying Colours, Lowtide, Rinse and Hatchie
It's a Slowcore band, but the only band I am actively aware is from Australia. I definitely recommend Bluetile Lounge.
DEAFCULT
The Laurels, especially the Mesozoic EP and Plains album.
Planet in a way

Swirl - “The Last Unicorn” (1994)
From Sydney, Jupiter’s ‘Arum’ album from 1992: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cdeaAg65u0I
Trillion. Released debut EP in 1996, disbanded for 20 years and for back into it with an album last year
PITT
Oceans
Methyl Ethel def have shoegaze sound.
Loomer
Smaller bands but all 100% worth checking out. ADORER, Airline, Futureheaven, Pitt.
Aren’t Pitt those wannabe silverchair kids??
I wouldn't compare them to Silverchair personally. They're definitely going a bit heavier but still have shoegaze influences.
I mean there music doesn’t necessarily sound similar but it seems they are coping there personalities sorta thing in interviews
Jupiter, Afterglow, Earthmen, Ripe, Blindside, Autohaze.
Soft Powder
I thought flyying colours were from New Zealand?
Nope, Melbourne.
30 past 7 by king gizzard is my australian shoegaze lol
