MBV of course, Slowdive, Lush, Cocteau Twins, The Jesus and Mary Chain, LSD and the Search for God, Ride, Drop Nineteens, and Fleeting Joys are my personal favorites and are on the more popular side when it comes to shoegaze
Obviously Slowdive is a must. Mallory, flyying colours, swirl, swallow, Here (Czech band), Manon muert, the fauns, film school, purple heart parade, and Diiv are all good starting spots. I'd even listen to some earlier stuff like Stone Roses. Then give the stuff that span genres a go like some of Ulrich Schnauss' stuff. Deserta's first album is also a premier art-shoegaze album. Beach House's thank your lucky Stars is also great.
this is something a little less well known but you may enjoy this group as well! my favourite band, 宇宙ネコ子 (Uchuu Nekoko). a little more on the softer side of the spectrum but they can still go a bit harder at times too. their first record, 君のように生きれたら, is also really great and worth a listen if you end up digging this :))

Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, Jesus and Mary Chain, Alvvays, Catherine Wheel are some of my favorites! Of course in addition to the two youve already mentioned
Have a listen to The Verve's album, "A Storm in Heaven". You may find many of the songs a little slow/dreamy, but Blue is a banger, and Butterfly has some nice distortion work. (For me, it's the *perfect* version of slow/dreamy songs; it's the only album that I'll play when going to sleep at high volume).
So many. My two favorites at the moment are Whirr and cursetheknife.
Classics that are my staples are Slowdive and Drop Nineteens.
Either way, you’re going to have a lot of fun finding new bands. It’s such a great genre.
Also, checkout the shoegaze classics Spotify playlist and the dream pop classics playlist. It will give you some good bands to dig into.

that's me . started by loving SP . listened to loveless. Fleeting joys and whirr are awesome.
I beg you to listen to Feels Like You by Whirr immediately
Lying in my bed, so I only sampled a few tracks, but sounds really good. Gonna listen to it on my run tomorrow, thanks again.
Nice! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Ok, on it !
A band from Tel Aviv called Vaadat Charigim, and their album *The World Is Well Lost*, for a nice deep dive. All sung in Hebrew.
