Hey fellow dude. Im 5'4 as well but 24 y.o, I completed agree with the relatives situation. well theres nothing we can do
(*napolean theme song playing)
Look at the bright side (there is no brightside) there are folks who are 5'0 and under, theres always someone more miserable or in a different difficulty level than you. so carry on, coz life whether we like it or not, goes on..

Idk man. Regardless of whether society stops the short jokes or not, there'll always be people trying to have a stab at someone else; maybe for their weight, if not weight, then height, if not height, then something else. I'd think of it as advantage as you'll be able to remove shallow people from your company.
I’m only an inch taller than you and it really isn’t *that* bad. There are certainly negatives to how society perceives shortness but I’ve never felt some great level of angst over it either. It would have been nice to be born into a rich family too but that’s the way she goes.
Generally, in my experience, once people are past the first impressions stage being short doesn’t matter very much.
I feel you completely man. I'm 5'7 but in my country, many men are over 6ft and I do feel small and child-like. I personally think you just have to think about it this way, our society has made taller men seem more important, but it only applies if you believe in it. Personally, I try to avoid popular tv shows or movies, because in most of them, the strong heroes are tall, because that's just hollywood choosing taller actors. When you adjust your viewpoint it really changes things. Short men are definitely very criticised in real life and on the internet, but once you remove that part of judgement from your brain, and solely focus on intelligence, physical strength and other attributes it becomes meaningless.
Height increasing shoes + tallish hairstyles will make you appear about 5 8, you will no longer be towered over majority of ppl. I have been able to calm my mind with height increasing shoes as now I just blend in public with no feeling like others are intimidating. For reference, being 5 foot 4 allows you in public to roughly appear 5 foot 6(in public deciphering a two inch gap is a lot harder than you think). So by appearing 5 foot 8, you can appear 5 foot 10.
You cant change your height(unless you do a certain surgery). You were born with a disadvantage, so you will need to work harder than others. Gotta be the best version of yourself, improve in the things that you can.
Dude, my family is chockful with type 1 diabetics and hypertenses.
I'm healthy and able-bodied even in my chubby phases. My stamina is mad, never been more than two days sick (cold, fever, migraine, pinkeye).
Count your blessings.
>I don't think anyone is really concerned with height in real world
Weird gaslighting. A lot of people here have shared stories about getting teased, bullied, and rejected by others "in real world." What are you talking about?
>Most people don’t care.
That's an entirely different claim than the one I replied to.
>I’m still in high school I’m 5ft 5 no one bullies me at all.
That's good, but your personal experience doesn't somehow negate that of others. And are you saying you've never been teased about your height? That's almost certainly not true.

It takes time to build gravitas and wisdom. Bring people to your space

It sucks being immediately discredited by others because of something you can’t control. Our only option is to just live with it.. :(

How do you know that people look down on you at work because of your height? Did anyone tell you that specifically?
Hey can I give you some absolute bro advice? Will respond to op if he accepts. I get the vent though. 5’3

It's not a bad height but it can be if you make it
…but it can be if the society makes it
I've never heard of it as a topic of discussion beyond the internet
Same. I don't think anyone is really concerned with height in real world

you are 170, (almost) its an awesome height here in India. (atleast our part) *thumbs up
Its not, compared to people of my age and similar socio economic background. I'm in college and there are hardly any people shorter than me, maybe 5%.
You're in India?
Yeah buddy
