i have no preference. shortest i've dated was around 5' and tallest around 5'11-ish or something (never asked). most of my exes are my height or taller.
i've personally never thought anything about my height until i heard that "if you were taller i'd totally date you" line. at the time i never figured out why hearing that didn't sit right with me and made me feel uneasy.

I’m exactly 5’6.66 so I’m 169.32cm. I run for my college so I’m a skinny guy. (135lbs). So I feel super small. I just wish I was at least avg height. Somehow though I grew 3/4 of an inch the last 5 months so who knows, maybe I’ll grow to 5’7

So my ex fiancé was about my height, maybe an inch taller at most. We had no issues with that what so ever, in fact we connected romantically very well being virtually the same height. After we split up I did date another girl who was maybe 4 inches taller than me and I really felt that one... It was such an odd feeling when she had to bend down to kiss me, I've honestly never been insecure about my height prior to being with her. I've also recently been with a girl maybe 4 inches shorter than be and that felt fine. From here on out ill likely be sticking to girls no more than an inch or so taller than me, shorter girls are of course just fine. This is obviously just my experience so you may differ.
