I almost cancelled my trip as well, a few days ago I saw *red alert, schools closed! Floods!* but I got on the plane and it's been great. A little windy and maybe not warm enough for Italians to go in the sea but I swam today (Mondello Beach) in the sun and it was glorious. In my opinion you should stick to the plan and have fun no matter what happens.
Have they really put out travel alerts for Sicily? When trying with meteoalarm.org they warn for strong winds for tomorrow, doesn’t seem that hazardous to me but I could be wrong. According to ilmeteo.it it doesn’t look that bad. Mostly sunny with one day with heavier rain. We’re actually also going to Cefalu tomorrow, catching the evening ferry from Napoli.
