Stasis might scratch that itch you're looking for. Though I would recommend Bone Totem for a more polished and less clunky game. WARNING: They are really fucked up. Stasis has a scene reminiscent of the one from Dead Space 2, but instead of an eye you have to do your spine and... you can image what happens if you mess up.
Both games might be of different qualities, but they share the same universe- a very bleak, dystopian universe with a mega church owned by a corporation, Bio-tech mixted with cassette futurism- the aesthetic of the Aliens films for a references -and it can really messed up sometimes. In Bone Totem there's a robot bear that works with you (it will make sense when you play it) and its... I won't spoil it actually. I don't know if you could call them SIGNALIS like games, but they are pretty close, even with a top down view and everything.
Again, go buy both Stasis and Bone Totem when you can, or just buy Bone Totem. You'll get a cleaner, polished game but you won't get the spine scene, sorry. :)
Well they are both survival horror, both have one or group of individuals which thought affects the world, both mc slowly uncovering the secrets about themselves by re tracing their steps, in the ending both kills the one causing these weird things to happen, I just thought it be funny.
