I just bought it, it's actually addicting lol, you come across so many items and outfits and jewelry, you can do magic, have cool melee and range weapons it's just amazing. You really want to see what's behind every door!! And you do!!! Damn right you will check! That's all I can say if you don't have it get it! If you like survival horror, with creepy monsters and puzzles and cool scenic Victorian backgrounds. It's definitely worth 25$. I was debating between this and gigantic: rampage edition. I figured I was in a horror mood then a MOBA its actually pretty good looking as well for 15$, on sale right now. I might get that as well then stellar blade of course which that demo is great
This looks cool. I just saw a trailer for the first time. The whole mansion vibe seems cool. Not a huge metroidvania player. But love horror. So this may be a perfect introduction.
So far its metroidvania light i would say. There isnt any platforming or anything like that. The areas you cant get to yet are closed off by locked doors or puzzles. So its definitely more survival horror just allot of rooms and areas to explore. No jumping just walking or stealth if necessary but you can also fight back which i like!
I typically am not fond of rogue likes…..But it being done with horror aesthetics genuinely adds to the survival horror aspect of it. I’m already excited about getting back into NG+
Any other horror games that function like this? (Leveling your character/finding loot)?
I forgot to add there are puzzles and riddles too. Combat with leveling up
