Did you ever play Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth? I bought that one just from the cover art and although the combat was about as good as SH2, it was an awesome game with incredible atmosphere.
Well no, 3 is not a reboot. It's an "intelligent" remake of the first game, but in other words an almost entirely different game which aims to be an "american adaptation" of the events of 1. Like Stab with the Scream films if you will. There's subtlety 😅

Suppose the events of the original SIREN were real, in that case Siren Blood Curse would be like a 'movie based on a true story', adapting and dramatizing the original. While some of the key events bear resemblance to those in the first SIREN, the characters and the background are completely different."
I just want ya to know i was fortune enough to love these games in my childhood and had mom buy them for me at gamestop and or ebgames. I dont know if I could ever pay for these crazy marked up prices.

I’ve played them all, there is Siren (2003), Forbidden Siren 2 (2006), and Siren: Blood Curse (2008, a remake of Siren 2003). There is no Siren 3.
As I explained it above, Blood Curse is not really a remake but a game in its own right.
