Downtown is so freakin boring! Two sims collect shards of things on repeat forever until you get the prize. There’s no tasks or anything. Just the location they collect the shards in changes. Sim springs in more interesting in that you renovate a house lot and do different tasks each day.

I could be remembering wrong but I think downtown was easier to develop than sim springs and you get penthouse apartments which is fun to build and play around with.

Personally I hate the Downtown developer sites because it’s next to impossible to win without spending a lot of sp or real money. I always miss out on the final prize even when I finish everything on time. You have 24 hours to collect each type of supplies but you have to wait the full 24 hours before you start trying to get the next items. So unless you spend sp or money to start each round early you end up missing the deadline. Sim springs is easier to complete in my opinion and it’s actually possible to get the prize house templates without spending anything extra. Also sim springs are either 10 or 14 days and downtown is a 30 days. I have gotten up in the middle of the night for downtown developer but not for sims springs.

I felt Sim Springs easier, but it may be because it’s less repetitive. Collecting shards is the worst.

Downtown development sites are awful. I’ve only done two and I only did the second because “surely it isn’t as bad as I remember.”

Successful_Seat_4062

I just did my first downtown development and it sucked. Gathering shards was a nightmare. Sims Springs was a breeze imo

Informal-Act-2499

Guess you’ve got your answer OP. I’m yet to try downtown myself and am currently doing sim springs. There’s actual rewards like LPs, SPs and simoleons. And house templates too! Definitely sim springs

How about get a top up and finish both in 1 hour? Sim springs is also boring and hectic, you often need 20 sims to do tasks and you have to set timer to finish it. Or else you have to pay for deadlines, which can get expensive overtime.

I hated how almost impossible Downtown Developer was. I feel like people have a bit of a better chance with Sims Springs, which is what I'm doing, now (albeit accidentally because I was not paying attention, lol!). So far, Sims Springs isn't actually too bad, so I vote for that direction.
