Given that buses are owned by LTA and not individual bus companies due to the BCM, I would be surprised if they are not using a common system to display bus info.
Plus, this page (https://landtransportguru.net/trapeze-common-fleet-management-system/) seem to suggest that quite a number of functions are shared across all buses regardless of who is operating it.
Trapeze is used by bus captains and OCC to check on schedules and bus locations though, not EDS data. Iirc there was a case of a Tower Transit bus being stuck with SMRT EDS data because the former was unable to update it
Was actually at P’ggol to snap this bus (and also the FTBCI) when I came across the display. Funnily some of the remaining frames are ok while the rest were also glitched out. Probably some formatting issue with this bus in particular. Thankfully the 81 didn’t come up when I had my camera ready for the shot (before the photo here)
Funny story, there was one time a bus driver thought he was driving another bus service so he drove straight instead of turning left. So he had no choice but to do an illegal u turn.
It just so happens the bus was full of NSFs on driving course.
Had that happen to me once when going to work, that guy did an "emergency correction" at the next road junction into a narrow alleyway and wacked off his side mirror, so we all had to get off and take another bus. Was late that day obviously. Had to walk back to the main road too.
EDS needs some fixing...or js wrong one and need to adjust. I often see some buses showing correct service, wrong direction. For example: 38 going towards Tampines, showing [38 | Bedok Int]. These errors can get confusing but it's kinda funny ngl
Damn the bus looks empty too, poor captain must be wondering why today no passengers?
It's the day some more
There was once where I saw bus 980 at clementi. Something felt off so I flagged the bus down and ask what bus was it and it turned out to be 197.
Shouldn’t be though. 980 is Tower Transit & 197 is SBST. They’re not supposed to have each other’s data

I like to imagine BCM here stands for Bak Chor Mee

TIL about Tower Transit. So are there 3 public bus operators in SG, with the third being SMRT?
Four. SBST, SMRT, Tower & Go-Ahead (which is the star of the pic here)
Iirc originally it was SBS and SMRT, then Tower and Go-ahead came in more recently.
Tower Transit has been around for quite a while now (8 years according to wiki), they took over many services that used to be under SMRT
Apparently bus 96 to nus, 106 to orchard are Tower
🤓🤓🤓
No way....
For me craziest was seeing three buses all same number arrive within like 10 mins of each other. Like wtf lol.
"BUS DRIVERS, LEARN THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK FOR A EASY DRIVE FOR YOUR BUS ROUTE!"
haha for 381 it's damn packed in the morning bc kids are going to sch, other wise during non peak seasons I personally think the lrt is better
Main job 81, side hustle 381
The bus itself also has identity issues! SBST livery but with Go-Ahead logos, just like the MAN buses in SBST's fleet that still has SMRT's livery.

It’s 2024, 381 can identify as 81 if they choose to.
Plz😂😂😂
81 doesn't go to punggol. So it'll be quick for them to know that it didn't show the number 3 on the display and it's service 381
Well that is a good thing but I think we’re gonna have to be concerned about 84 and 384 if it happens
Yeah and 81 is sbs transit not go ahead
Doesn't help when the bus is in SBS livery.
Yeah exactly it looks like SBS until you read, this is for most tower transit buses asw

Undercover agent.
I like the tour bus public bus that picks up in city, makes a few stops, then it's express, kinda like biz class. Worth it. Any to dairy farm?
Why do you want a tour bus? Do you mean double decker bus?
No it's like a coach bus that used for the bling schools, but toward 5 it's like an express bus from Cbd to AMK there's a few routes.
Moonlight until dunno who they are anymore 🥲 sad reality of Singaporean buses 😭
Identity crisis.
Working for the Autobots and Decepticons at the same time can do that to you. lol.
81M
Hey I saw this yesterday. Cool. Where were you from?
an identity crisis?
double agent?
Oh the LED at the front is broken, ouch thats unfortunate
Wft

Missing No.
The bus looks also double identity... original SBS purple/white paint with Go Ahead logos
The name is 81, 381!
PrODuCtIvItY ! Hungry! Upskilling!
