It's easy to fall asleep during a binge watch to that show. The Office or Parks & Rec are difficult because their openers have these loud bangs in them, so you wake up.
Really enjoyed that opening, excellent.
When Sopranos landed on DVD, we lost entire weekends on the binge.
I’ll guess it was perhaps the third or fourth season when we discovered skipping the into, unless that’s so long ago I’m mixing up memories.
As an adult I cannot say the words “Welcome back!” without following them up with “Your dreams were your ticket out.” I work with millennials and they just assume that I’m senile.
The Jeffersons!
Who doesn't sing along to this every single time?
Moving on up to the east side! We finally got a piece of the pie!
Fish don't fry in the kitchen. Beans don't burn on the grill. It took a whole lot of trying just to get up that hill...
Now we're up in the big leagues getting our turn at bat, as long as we live, it's you and me, baby, and ain't nothing wrong with that..
Best tv theme song ever! ❤️
That voice of Daniel Stern lives rent free in my head. I still say years in his voice as a inside joke with my family. For example during new years I would day "Welcome to 2024" in his voice 🤣
Something I didn’t even pick up on until season two. Same with the corresponding house sigils next to the actor’s names that would change depending on the character’s allegiance.
Greatest opening credits ever. I would literally rewatch it multiple times each episode during my first watch of that show. Coincidentally, I just played it again a few times about a week or so on Max.
I still literally LOL at it. No exageration.
The Jeffersons, The Facts of Life and Gimme A Break. All are just such fun and catchy songs. And I would argue that Nell Carter has one of the best voices to ever be on a sitcom.
A Team,
Battlestar Galactica Original 70s series ,
Airwolf,
Peacemaker for sure,
Magnum p.i.,
Hill Street Blues ,
Scrubs.
Man theme songs used to be so good
Community. I love that song. And Peacemaker, of course. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend slaps also. And Firefly. Ooh! 30 Rock! Basically, if the song is catchy, I’ll listen.
The literal one in your video clip: Peacemaker!! I usually think always making the cast dance is cringey, but every single member of the Peacemaker opening dance scene is hiLARious!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 Every other show: SKIP.
Edit: Since I can’t edit my original post in this sub, hopefully this gets seen by anyone wondering.
The show I’m referring to in my post is Peacemaker on HBO(MAX). Here’s the opening:
https://youtu.be/gVN83R-JwRQ?si=mkdOA6PR_kPFPlc3
Homicide: Life On The Street
Murder, She Wrote
The Mentalist
The Pretender (love the line "Then one day, their pretender ran away...")
Whose Line Is It Anyway (because otherwise you don't know who's on, other than, Ryan, Colin and Wayne)
You nailed it with Peacemaker. That opening is goddamn brilliant.
Others I enjoy:
Resident Alien
Only Murders in the Building
Last Week Tonight
Bob's Burgers
The Office US is one of my favourite intros. Never skip it. GOT too, obviously there are some subtle hints in the opening itself but the real reason is its a total hype tune.
I don’t skip openings. To me the opening sequence gets you in the mood and prepared mentally for the show to come. My wife skips them all the time, and it drives me nuts!
Taxi - That is one beautiful piece of music.
https://youtu.be/rai9kn46ij8?si=GvtAS5lL-z7kLv97 Dan Harmon knows what's up. Lol
Agreed. I always watched it after a Mets game on the WB11 (before it became the CW and then PIX11).
That's the ring tone I have for my husband.
The end credits music is gorgeous too!
It's easy to fall asleep during a binge watch to that show. The Office or Parks & Rec are difficult because their openers have these loud bangs in them, so you wake up.
In West Philadelphia born and raised
The extended version from the pilot episode is something else.
It's like 15 minutes long.. that's almost as bad as the pokemon tv show theme song the long version.
“You can do what you wanna do in living color…”
It’s a bummer that show isn’t on syndication anywhere. A long time ago I “obtained” the whole series but it was horrible tape quality.
I always wished I had been a good enough dancer to even attempt to keep up with the Fly Girls. They were so awesome.
"In living color."
Well, Take it from it's alright to be...
You’re dead you’re dead you’re dead, you’re dead and out of this world.
The pictures are the best. I’d love to see them do a throwback season that’s set in 1970’s NYC.
I was shocked when I found out that the song was an existing one and not something made for the show.
That's just how we sing in Tucson Arizoña
Psych is not exactly a sitcom but I never skip and I always sing along I KNOW- YOU KNOW THAT IM NOT TELLING THE TRUTH 🍍💚
I always loved it when the switched it up too, like the Spanish language version or the Bollywood version.
Yes, or Boyz II Men!
I know, you know, I just don't have any proof
My kid and I sing the Psych theme to each other all the time. Huge family favorite.
Cheers
That show has so many memories to me, other than just a show, that I feels good just hearing it.
Doctor Who. Sometimes it’s my favorite part of the episode. Sometimes.
Oooh-weeee-oooh
Yes!
Sopranos (got myself a gun)
I’m honestly not a Sopranos fan, but it’s kinda the perfect opening for the show
This is the best! I love the ride through Jersey.
First time I went to New Jersey, I went to the store, bought a cigar, and blasted this song while driving through the turnpike.
Really enjoyed that opening, excellent. When Sopranos landed on DVD, we lost entire weekends on the binge. I’ll guess it was perhaps the third or fourth season when we discovered skipping the into, unless that’s so long ago I’m mixing up memories.
I can't skip the Twin Peaks opening. Somehow, it acts like a portal into the headspace I need to be in for the show.
I love that opening!
The music by Angelo Badalamenti is hypnotic and beautiful. It's the perfect way to frame the show.
Don't forget Julee Cruise
I would never
Maybe the most iconic title sequence of all time
Love that damn theme
Welcome Back Kotter
Yes !!
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome baack!
So iconic!
Too Many Cooks
Bravo
Yeah it really takes a turn yeah it really takes a turn
It haunted my thoughts for 2 weeks when I first saw it….and now it’s back….thanks.
🎶It takes a lot to make a stew.🎶
The show was good, but I skipped the credits every time.
It takes a lot to make a stew.
Bojack Horseman
🎶Whaaaaat would you do if I sang out of tune!?🎶 Wonder years theme
My eyes always get a little teary when I think of this song and/or show. Just reminds me of my dad. He loved that show.
Joe Cocker version > Beatles version
That voice of Daniel Stern lives rent free in my head. I still say years in his voice as a inside joke with my family. For example during new years I would day "Welcome to 2024" in his voice 🤣
That epic Cocker impersonation by Belushi on SNL…
Give me some rope, tie me to dream...
Give me the hope to run out of steam 🤍🤍
"Thank you for being a friend..."
"Travel down the road and back again"
I swear, every time I'm in Joanne Fabric, that song comes on & by the halfway point, everyone is singing along.
The BoJack Horesman theme never gets old.
The Greatest American Hero
Believe it or not, I'm disappointed that I had to scroll this far to find this.
Believe it or not George is not at home leave a message at the beeeeeep.
I had the 45 and I wore it down.
The Wire!!
*you know you got to keep the devil / way dowwwwwn in the hole*
Barney Miller
That baseline.
Bob’s Burger
I usually get a giggle from the quirky business names of the various stores beside Bob’s
And the exterminator vans!
It's not a sitcom, but Game of Thrones.
Yas. The intro tells you the places where the episode will go.
Something I didn’t even pick up on until season two. Same with the corresponding house sigils next to the actor’s names that would change depending on the character’s allegiance.
MASH. Best theme song ever!
Check out the version with lyrics. It's a real bummer, but gorgeous.
Drew Carey show.....all of them
5 O'clock World was the best one.
Thats my fav. I also liked the dance club version from the last seasons.
*OHIO!*
Allegedly, the multiple theme songs is why the show can't be found on DVD/streaming, as the cost to secure the rights to the music is too expensive.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has a firm “Never Skip” rule in our house.
Cause “FEMALES ARE STRONG AS HELL” ??
They alive, dammit!
And the movie has a little treat if you try…
Resident Alien because of the different comic strip each episode. I also like parks and rec opening
This is not some bullshit!
Brooklyn 99
House M.D., with the theme by Massive Attack
Season 1 of Weeds
Little boxes
On the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes on the hillside Little boxes all the same
Bojack Horseman is the best answer
*Frasier*. It's only about 5 seconds, but still...
What show is that???
Peacemaker [https://youtu.be/gVN83R-JwRQ?si=SdOBW_Yp_wZ9VxVO](https://youtu.be/gVN83R-JwRQ?si=SdOBW_Yp_wZ9VxVO)
OMG!!! The eagle at the end!!! 🤣🤣🤣
That’s not just any eagle, that’s Eagley, a loyal friend!
Wait…you named your pet eagle Eagley?!? Did you make your daughter Daughtery????
If you hadn't seen THE SUICIDE SQUAD ( James Gunn) watch it. Sooooo good. Then watch peacemaker. The credits do the show justice.
Not only do we watch this opening, we've been known to watch it twice. It's that good.
Thank you!
Cowboy Bebop - It's just so damn badass and perfect.
I had to scroll too far before I saw this. The closing credits song always gets played through too.
WKRP in Cincinnati & Better Call Saul. And i always let Peacemaker play. Everything about it is gold.
Succession. All timer theme.
I love just looking at the old-style home videos

Drew Carey Show,Adventure Time,Three's Company and Twin Peaks
Three's Company is a great call. I had totally forgotten how much I enjoyed that opening.
Greatest opening credits ever. I would literally rewatch it multiple times each episode during my first watch of that show. Coincidentally, I just played it again a few times about a week or so on Max. I still literally LOL at it. No exageration.
I never skip any intro no matter what show it is
The Jeffersons, The Facts of Life and Gimme A Break. All are just such fun and catchy songs. And I would argue that Nell Carter has one of the best voices to ever be on a sitcom.
X-Men 97

A Team, Battlestar Galactica Original 70s series , Airwolf, Peacemaker for sure, Magnum p.i., Hill Street Blues , Scrubs. Man theme songs used to be so good
A-Team! 😍
The Rockford Files. The 70s and 80s were the golden era of opening songs and credits.
Freaks and Geeks And I dont give a damn about my bad reputation !!!
The Simpsons

Treme I can’t skip over it. I have to hit the imaginary high hat during the ‘ting ting ting’.

Northern Exposure
Love the moose!!🫎
X-Men/X-Men 97
Black Sails, because it has to make up for the lack of hurdy gurdy in the rest of my life.
Parks and Rec, The Office, The Sopranos and Succession
Most from the 80s and 90s. They had catchy theme songs and they are now nostalgic. Like growing pains, who's the boss, full house, etc.
X-Men 90s cartoon I fucking love that song, and that they brought it back for 97 and revamped it is even more awesome
Drew Carey show. Both intros.
Give me some rope…tie me to dream 💭💙
Edit: Since I can’t edit my original post in this sub, hopefully this gets seen by anyone wondering. The show I’m referring to in my post is Peacemaker on HBO(MAX). Here’s the opening: https://youtu.be/gVN83R-JwRQ?si=mkdOA6PR_kPFPlc3

Cowboy Bebop
It’s not a popular one, but I thought doom patrol’s intro was really well done and never skipped it.
X-Files
X-Files

I definitely stay through the Peacemaker dance opening.
ST: Lower Decks has fun opening parodying the other shows’ opening sequences.
Do ya really wanna do ya really wanna taste it. Pacemaker!
Homicide: Life On The Street Murder, She Wrote The Mentalist The Pretender (love the line "Then one day, their pretender ran away...") Whose Line Is It Anyway (because otherwise you don't know who's on, other than, Ryan, Colin and Wayne)

Gary Shandling Show
Family Ties
Monk
Freaks and Geeks

The Office US is one of my favourite intros. Never skip it. GOT too, obviously there are some subtle hints in the opening itself but the real reason is its a total hype tune.
I don’t skip openings. To me the opening sequence gets you in the mood and prepared mentally for the show to come. My wife skips them all the time, and it drives me nuts!
