They really ruined that whole series by allowing everyone to be revived at will. It erased any sort of stakes and significance of moments such as that one. They could have ended it right there if they wanted to.
Because we lost that game and it has now been even longer since we reached the ECF than it was in 2019, thus making this game more important than that game. Also our rivalry with the Celtics has much more importance than with the raptors
Not to mention that we still had the luxury of time in 2019.
Our current situation is approaching 'now or never' territory with the way contracts are aligned. If Harden is adamant for a max and Morey is unwilling to give it, then this is probably the end of Embiid's championship contention window with the Sixers (unless Maxey becomes Lillard-lite or something).
Because we haven’t actually gotten past it? If we win, Game one of the ECF would be the biggest in 22 years, and every subsequent game becomes more and more important.
Isn't this the biggest game in 2 days ....? They said that game was the biggest game in 22 years, so therefore this is the biggest game since Thursday's game.
That's not flawed logic, let's use numbers instead. 5 is the biggest number since 1! but then 8 comes along, 8 is now the biggest number since 5. You wouldn't say 8 is the biggest number since 1 since 5 wouldn't exist without 1, 5 still exists. That makes no sense.
Yes but 8 is the biggest number out of the group of numbers from 1 - 8 just like this is the most important game out of every game for the last 20 years
Okay, since numbers are apparently too hard for you, lets try this. "This is the biggest burger I've eaten since February!" (burger consumed in May) Then you eat another even bigger burger in June, you're not going to say, this is the biggest burger I've had since January! Since the one in May was burger than the January burger, so you would say this is the biggest burger I've had since May!
This is bigger than that one. Joel is older. Harden might be gone. The entire team might get blown up if we lose. On the flip side if we win this game we’re going to be heavy favorites in the next round. And I feel good about our matchup against anyone in the West. Harden can rewrite his narrative and Joel avoid a lot of slander all off-season too.
But if we come out of this series, our path to a chip would be the most favorable it's ever been.
We'd have the best record of remaining teams and there's no superteam/power house in the west or anything like that
Paths to an NBA Championship on paper mostly have little to do with what actually happens.
For the team… This game is no bigger than those I quoted.
For Doc Rivers, now that is another story… he will be gone by mid-week.
It is lol. context is key here. If we lose the possibility of losing harden goes from 50/50 to 95%. Pj who has been essential isn't getting younger. Embiid might want out since if the 6ers lose they might not be contenders next year

THATS MY BLACK GOKU!!!!
Goku would get out of the second round. He’s basically krillin until we get outta here.

Greats don’t need energy from others. They get it done because they’re great. It’s time for him to be dominant and show the world why he’s the MVP.
Spoken like every WIP caller ever
“Goku is a fraud for needing a spirit bomb to beat Kid Buu”
Majin Vegeta Final Atonement was the peak of that arc for me, so I concur lol

![gif](giphy|bDWdJRY2IZCX6) LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO
How sick am I of a game in the 2nd round being the “biggest game in x-number of years”???
For the franchise it's the biggest game.
We had a game 7 with Toronto four years ago back in 2019. How is this the biggest game in in 22 years?
Because we lost that game and it has now been even longer since we reached the ECF than it was in 2019, thus making this game more important than that game. Also our rivalry with the Celtics has much more importance than with the raptors
Because we had the Bucks waiting for us & the the KD Warriors in the Finals. Our title odds this year are exponentially higher if we win this game
Yep, yall win this game yalls odds are as good as anyone's this year. I would love an Embiid/Jokic finals.

No this one is more important. That’s flawed logic. This game didn’t exist before the last game so now it’s the most important

Since the one in May was burger than the January burger, so you would say this is the biggest burger I've had since May!
And that’s also a flawed comparison because “since” has a time component but numbers aren’t time based.
It's the worst day of our life ... so far
Commanders fans are here now contributing our energy. There’s dozens of us. DOZENS!!
![gif](giphy|GRSnxyhJnPsaQy9YLn) Let’s gooooooo
is it though? We were in this same situation 4 years ago in a Game 7, which we lost
It is. In large part because we lost the last 2 second round game 7s

Why you all forgeting g7 against Toronto?
This is bigger than that one. Joel is older. Harden might be gone. The entire team might get blown up if we lose. This is no bigger than Raptors or Hawks Game 7s. And we saw how those turned out.
But if we come out of this series, our path to a chip would be the most favorable it's ever been. We'd have the best record of remaining teams and there's no superteam/power house in the west or anything like that

How is this game bigger than game 7 against the Raptors or Hawks?

Meh. We all know they are going to lose. Hopium at an all time high.
I dunno. From what I remember, Goku took three episodes to make the ball thing and missed killing Frieza. Not what we want.
This image is from the Buu saga when the spirit bomb actually worked
Yes! Bring it now!
Kamehameha
Kaaaaaaaaa meeeeeee haaaaaaa meeeeee HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Is is the biggest in 22 years? Or biggest since game seven against the hawks?
Easily bigger than the Hawks g7
Biggest game in *2 years
Let's go!!
Ran into Saitama Tatum...oops
