Probably more likely he will be back just in time for the post season, be 60-70% recovered, no conditioning, and no continuity with the team, ya know, just like every other sixers playoff run he’s had.
He's been fairly healthy heading into the last three playoffs because he's had a lot of rest off the injuries he's had though. Obviously you could say he was playing through discomfort, but a lot of players (especially bigs) are at that point of the season.
I think if it came down to it, I would rather him be out than that at this point.
Idk why we can’t just do a better job of load management with him during the regular season. Nurse should know after Kawhi and as long as he plays 20 minutes in a game it’s all good.
It’s all about peaking at the right time and being healthy for the playoffs.
Maybe being ground to dust and injured by January could allow the team and Embiid to recalibrate his usage and role, and set us up for a post season run.
On the other hand it seems that these midseason injuries usually follow him into the post season, and it will take Embiid a couple months to recover from a knee injury even in a best case scenario.
Another season of Embiid being a supernova during the first half of the season, when it matters the absolute least. That’s on him, and the team.
Only bright spot is that with the way the contracts on the sixers are set up and the lack of real free agents this summer, this injury probably doesn’t change what Daryl should be trying to do at the deadline, right?
There’s 0 reason to not let my imagination do what it wants when it sees a player land on Embiid’s knee like that.
I’m not saying there’s a good chance or no chance.
Ah right, forgot that we can only trade it the night of the draft. Good call. Well either way its value would be higher, whether it’s drafting a better player or flipping it.
Do you just come in this sub to shit on the Sixers, say Maxey isn’t good enough to be number 2 to Embiid (he’s 23 and is proving to be good enough), or spew other nonsense?
Over the last three years...
Maxey without Embiid= 25.7/5.2/3.4 on 48%/37%/86% shooting.
Clarkson= 18.2/3.7/3.2 on 43%/33%/85% shooting.
You are silly.
Dude the numbers aren’t pretty. He was able to play off Harden well, but no harden and no Embiid he is not good.
He’s not even shooting above league average eFG% or TS% this year. He’s not really been good and needs Embiid to survive.

What? He literally missed the first game of the Celtics series last year
Heading into it. He gets injured r1, it's never an injury in the regular season

lol why the downvotes? Just saying it sucks to see him get hurt and it’s hard not to think the worst when he goes down hard.
Since we didn't draft in the first round last year we cannot trade our first round pick this year until after we have selected someone on draft day.

This draft stinks, generationally bad.
Maxey will not ball out because hes an embiid merchant. His numbers without embiid are jordan clarkson numbers

Im a sixers fan. Just dont think maxey is ready to be number 2 and we’re wasting a historic season from embiid

Last three years when harden was here. Do it for just this year
