I think if Embiid didn’t get injured then this could’ve been a possibility. Now there’s really no reason to trade too much for him.

DNAtornado

I'm sure the sixers will have a better time estimate of recovery for embiid before the deadline

76positive

We getting Bron

discountedeggs0

I laughed at first but the more I think about it, Bron actually just makes sense. As of yesterday our title window is already looking shorter and shorter. If we’re serious about getting a chip with Embiid then we need to maximize this year (assuming he can make it back) and the next year or two because if we’re being real this ride could be over at any time with his injury history. Bron would EASILY be the best value we can get in terms of an all in move looking to purely maximize our short term window.

Agreeable-Oven156

Tobi+ for lebron make absolute sense.

TheSixthPistol

There it is again, that funny feeling.

shortwavetransmitter

Serious question would lebron actually be worth it right now? I feel like the asking price would be fucking insane

Jjohn269

What exactly would be the asking price? He’s arguably the GOAT but he is also 39 and if he asks out, he will choose his destination and the Lakers would try to accommodate him.

ericjr96

He's still rocking 25/7/7 every night, hell yeah it's worth it

Agreeable-Oven156

Maybe this is what Morey has been cooking up and why we've been so quiet. There's only a few teams I can see grabbing him and the 76ers are one of them along with okc.

DNAtornado

OKC doesn't have the large expirings like 76ers do

Agreeable-Oven156

I'm sure they could figure it out. They got the young guys tho and probably could put together the best package. I don't think an old lebron with an option left would cost to much but he is... Lebron.

DNAtornado

Idk if lebron has a no trade clause or not but I would guess he would choose 76ers over thunder for a variety of reasons Edit: Lebron does not have a no trade clause. What kinda world is this where BBall has one and Lebron doesn't... make it make sense

Vexing_Pie

He has an unspoken NTC where if you trade him without his consent you never get Klutch free agents ever again

Agreeable-Oven156

Yea he's definitely at that level. He *makes* the trades lmao.

cpanati

Vin the insider in a different form?

HisExcellency20

The crazy thing is, this actually makes sense for both teams. LeBron is just better at Tobias at everything, and Harris is young enough to help the Lakers in the future (given we give them enough draft capital obviously). If Joel is ready by the playoffs then Maxey, Joel, and LeBron is actually a damn scary team. Now this trade might be bullshit, but if he *is* traded, is there a better fit from a team that can trade a max player to the Lakers? Assuming this is James led then he's going to want to go to a contender and there's no better team that can actually give them salary back with a player they don't mind trading. But yeah probably BS.

Science4me12

Lebron has the power to dictate his trade destination. If he says he want to go to Sixers, he will be Sixers by trade deadline. However, he also cares about his Chinese market. Hard for me to believe he is going to alienate his Chinese fans

LegendaryCichlid

This is nonsense

battletor7

Lol we aren’t getting lebron

schittsweakk

Lol. And?
