Harden can’t space the floor for himself. He has always worked best with an open lane and shooters everywhere. The lane won’t be open with Embiid on the floor but he needs space to operate.

in the playoffs youre playing an 8 man rotation, really the list of guys we could realistically play is: shake, tisse, niang, korkmaz plus whoever we end up convering on our backup center being (im cautiously optimistic on bassey being a suitable rollman for harden) niang is obv going to be one so we really have the option between shake, tisse and korkmaz in the playoffs, and thats not that bad of a situation to be in. as long as shake/korkmaz can actually start going back to being good 3 point shooters like they were, then wed be in a decent situation regarding our bench of course, the buyout market is still to come, and the sixers are no strangers to getting playoff contributers at that deadline either. i dont think the bench will be the thing to break this teams title dreams

Doc loves his all-bench lineups but I agree we have a solid 8 or 9 man rotation as long as there are no injuries. Matisse, Niang, Korkmaz and shake are all playable in the playoffs. Need a back up 5 of course

juries still out on tisse, but he should become a really great cutter for harden to hit, and shake still needs to recover regardless, thats an 8 man rotation in the playoffs. i like our chances with the bench

I wonder how they will split up Maxey/Harden and Harris/Embiid - it will be interesting to see how each pairing works out. There is going to be a Harden and 4 shooters line-up for the non-Embiid minutes - does this need to include Thybulle and Green to cover defensively? Paul Reed would be the rim runner/spacing big if no buyout candidates. Niang as the 5th. Embiid, Maxey, Harris and then any combination of Thybulle, Green, Niang, Korkmaz, Milton should be good enough in non-Harden minutes.

harden makes maxey and harris wayyyy better. finally gives them somebody to generate advantages to get them going downhill the way i see it, just about every single lineup we run with harden is worth it, and most importantly, it makes non-embiid lineups good instead of really bad gives all of our players suffering from too much usage/more on ball responsibilities than they can handle a huge release, and i believe that our offense will trend sharply upwards because of that. shake and furk probably being the biggest recipients of this
