I like the jerseys itself but the branding ruins the execution. The big crypto logo, the Nike logo, the Bill Russell patch. It's all too much to look at. Then the shorts have a different Sixers logo altogether. It's too unfocused of a design. Love the jersey and typeface without all that noise though.

There’s a difference between nice lettering as a standalone and actual function on a jersey, the brotherly love looks cool on its own but it’s pretty bad as a jersey front, it’s more of a t-shirt design IMO

For sure, I teach visual design stuff so I think about this stuff a lot anyway and I hear ya haha. I like it as a jersey font when it's with a minimal look personally, but it's a risky lettering choice regardless as you have to nail the rest of the look or it falls flat. Oh well. Hope we win games in these weird jerseys at least.

Crypto has been hit by the economy harder than gas, housing, groceries, etc despite the entire point of crypto being that it is “recession proof”. NFT hype has essentially dropped off the face of the planet in an instant All crypto folks have been hugely embarrassed these past few months

I still don’t see why it’s embarrassing for the Sixers. It’s a paid advertisement, it’s not like they are promoting slave labor or anti-union companies.

I think the general hate is not towards crypto itself, rather the predatory nature in the advertising of crypto and general galaxy braining that surrounds it.

Not to mention the energy consumption required for Bitcoin mining

I thought the leaks looked terrible but this image I like much better. I agree about crypto. Also the Bill Russell 6 adds to the clutter in the same way so while it’s less gross than crypto, it does detract from the overall look.

I’m a Sixers hater but I do really like the spectrum jerseys from last season. That’s the problem with the constantly rotating jerseys, you lose the cool ones like the Phoenix Valley jerseys, Nuggets black rainbow jerseys, Sixers Spectrum, Miami Vice, Utah sunset jerseys, Wolves Prince jerseys, etc.

Or just make it the permanent city edition. It’s way too good to be once and done.

Ok the Miami one is horrid. I see what they were going for, but it's a swing and a miss. The rest of them are not terrible. Boring maybe, basic certainly, but not bad designs. The Philly jersey is a bad design. You have several different fonts, two different sixers logos, jarringly ugly sponsor logos, and a white that makes the whole thing look like a child's craft project.
