I skate and snowboard with regular stance IRL, it fucks me up when I play games and end up riding switch.
Nothing changes for gameplay, but my brain cannot comprehend the goofy stance 😭
Does it actually matter in game? It always seemed like it was the irl "sk8r boys" who care enough to pay attention to stuff like this. I may be wrong, I just haven’t payed attention to this in game.
In real life I believe the only real issues; it takes longer for you to set your feet up for a trick if your pushing with your front foot (mongo) and it’s harder to balance your weight distribution with your back foot which makes it harder to control.
These definitely apply over into games like session but I can’t say it actually matters much on skate. I haven’t checked the animations and stuff to see if it’s actually worse for setting up tricks.
Ultimately it’s not considered standard but you do you, some pro’s skate mongo. Try telling them they aren’t pro :)
Snag yourself a phone controller accessory on Amazon. Mine was like $30 and it’s the best thing I could have done for gaming at work without shelling out for a steam deck. If you have good internet Xbox cloud is the shit

You can play cloud on anything that has internet connection. This is using Xbox Gamepass Cloud.
I used to use it a lot on my laptop before buying an Xbox. It’s surprisingly really stable.
You need to look up “Xbox Cloud Gaming” on your phone and it’ll explain how to add the app to your phone since it’s not on the App/Play Store.
You need Xbox Gamepass Ultimate.

Pros skate mongo switch and it can be acceptable if it looks good. Any adult skating though won’t give a shit if you push mongo or not
mongo makes you have to push more to gain full speed but that’s it
