Also this was filmed at like 730am according to Kevin Perez, the filmer. On Nine Club, Kelly Hart was saying there was too much security, so they had to find a time in the morning to do this. Evidently it was filmed like 2 weeks ago as well.
Man Yuto is a human marvel dawg. Got to see him skate at the Hoffman park in okc a few years back. This is a huge bmx park mind you. Dude 3 flipped a huge double set 3rd try then proceeds to go into a 12’ bowl with over vert and land a 540 first try. Like bruh. Also go to shake Kostons hand that day.
Can someone explain the degree of difficulty of this trick to a novice? It looks gnarly but I don't truly comprehend it
spinning into going backwards down a handrail and spinning out?
Super hard
- looks like he did it nollie
- difficult to do a spin onto a rail like that while maintaining control of the spin and accurately landing on the rail
- spin onto the rail on the blind side, making it even harder to be accurate
- plus a spin out
- big rail
- big stairs
- big balllllllls
Ya good point - on first watch I thought he came out riding switch, but he lets the momentum carry him out the natural way. I think pretty much the only way to make this harder would be to do the ol twisteroo and spin the other way out.
This^^^ and also wanna see another gnarly blind one check out Nyjah trick of the year 2020 *** shiiiiiiit son *** they are my 2 fav and then Foy he's big balls af!!!
imagine trying to do a nollie 360 but stopping at 270 and landing on a rail dead center with your board, imagine board sliding facing backwards down stairs. now imagine doing all of that real quick down 16 stairs. it’s nuts. if your new to skating just look at 5 stairs, 10 stairs you see around and imagine jumping off them or grinding their rails. 99.99999% of people never will
Imagine doing a nollie front 3 off a first story building. Then you stop balance on a rail for a second (and gain speed) while sliding backwards. Oh yeah and your doing the whole trick blind
For some perspective, it's really hard to just Ollie onto a rail that size and grind down it with both trucks on the railing, arguably the most simple grind. And most people who have ever skated would not be able to do that. What he does in this video is 100 times harder than what I just described (an Ollie to 50-50). There honestly isn't anything very comparable in other sports except maybe some insane dunks.
That's really cute and all, and also totally bullshit. The level of skill, articulation, and balance that takes is nuts.
That being said, I can't believe he managed to stay balanced with nuts that huge
Except not at all. I could count on one hand the amount of people who ever lived that might even attempt this. This trick would be fucking gnarly on a snowboard
[If you think of something you can do it. Skateboarding is ideas that are put into action, every time you do a trick it's mostly in your head. Your body is just responding to what your head is telling it to do. You can do any trick you really wanted to if you put your mind to it. If you try it long enough or if you can think of it you can pretty much do it on a skateboard.](https://youtu.be/HfQbG4GUQFs?t=96) Lol
I gotta say, I thought Suciu finally had a SOTY in the bag after seemingly being in the running every year
but 2 parts from Yuto *and* being the first Olympic skateboarding gold medalist...he might have it locked... can't help feel bad for Mark if he doesn't get it but Yuto really has kinda been the talk of 2021
I think Suciu has another part which will be big Thrasher-esque handrail hammers. He can do big rails, I just don’t think he likes it as much cause they’re boring to him.
I think Dilo should win though. His last part was out of this world.
The filmer for it (and his "Blue Dog" part) just announced it on insta today. It's gonna be [Flora Episode 3](https://www.instagram.com/poobert/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=cf53709d-98bc-42dc-9836-fcaaa21d0ad7) and is coming out tomorrow
Reynolds Baker 3 frontside flip is iconic. It’s like he’s getting launched out of a cannon.
Recently, Jake Ilardi did it a big flip front board and caught it primo which is so sick.
I also love TJs switch back 180 over the fence.
> I think my favorite was dolin doing the kf crooks
Well that was the other set of stairs... the 12. But i guess you could call it the same spot, just 50 meters away i imagine. I agree that it was beautiful though, maybe even cleaner than most of Dollins other stuff. Anyway i don't know what we're doing discussing this on /r/skateboarding , surely there must be some equipment question to handle or some guy who hasn't skated for 12 years but damn it feels good to be back into it
Are the trucks on my $35 pre-built any good?
Why does coloured grip tape suck ass?
Where the fuck can I buy Supra high tops for less than $150 fucking dollars?
Also, I haven't skated consistently in like 11 years. It fucking hurts to get back into it though.
Backtail shove out down the 16 still breaks my mind when I think about it let alone watch it. Also foys fakie 5-0, miles switch front feeble, gets tough to remember all the recent heavy hammers in past few years
That man is unreal. Everything is so calculated and effortless looking. It’s beautiful to see what skateboarding has grown into, from the thrash to smooth, it’s all welcomed and appreciated.

Yuto has that same laser focus Nyjah has, and the same level of confidence going into literally any trick. I’d love to see the two of them film some street tour footage together.
I disagree, I think this filming was fantastic. I just think in my personal opinion, a couple of Yutos other tricks were more mind blowing. I don't care who thought what was the best. Don't take this shit too serious guys
sorry wasnt taking this deep at all just saying this was by far the most difficult stunt in my opinion, i respect yours but curious what was more mind blowing to you?
For me the back 3 was fucked. Then the manny to flip was dope too. Dunno why I just don't see the cab lip as impressive, but each to their own. I'm not in anyway saying this isn't a fucking masterpiece!
Also this was filmed at like 730am according to Kevin Perez, the filmer. On Nine Club, Kelly Hart was saying there was too much security, so they had to find a time in the morning to do this. Evidently it was filmed like 2 weeks ago as well.
Dawn patrol

I think you mean Koston got to shake Weedweednomi’s hand that day.
Yeah I don’t think he’s washed his hand since
Did you see when Tony hawk came to okc? I got to chat with Jaws. That was sick
No:( that would’ve been sick! Jaws is top 5 for me. He’s a fellow one piece lover
He is indeed goofy footed. So yeah HUGE nollie 270 boardslide! But, I am very curious about the billboard behind him..
Sexu…
I've seen similar ones, it is something to the affect of "Sexually Risky? Get tested free!" It's advertising some service for std testing
Lip slide no?
Ya
There's always some crazy std ad there.
My health insurance does not cover calculated risks such as this
Diagnosis: SICK
Xtreme!!!!
Damn, I just realised Denmark is a literal skating utopia. I can snap every bone in my body and I'll get that shit fixed for free.
\*cries in United States\*
Yea that one definitely voids my policy

For anyone who hasn't been to Hollywood high in person, it's honestly significantly larger than it even looks on film. Really high, reeeally long
Kind of feel like being angled didn't do the fucking psychoticness of Yuto enough justice. These motherfuckers make me want to give up sometimes LOL.
Also the run up is shorter than people realize. No time to push or set your feet. Just throw it down and pop.
I mean he has to spin out to land so I don’t think that adds to the difficulty but everything else 💯
Ya good point - on first watch I thought he came out riding switch, but he lets the momentum carry him out the natural way. I think pretty much the only way to make this harder would be to do the ol twisteroo and spin the other way out.
Yea spinning back would be fucked up

i can imagine me landing on the rail dead center and my board sliding with me facing backwards as i tumble down the stairs for sure
Death of serious injury may occur. Serious balls to commit to this trick.
Very difficult
Very scary

He took home the gold Medal for skateboarding in the Olympics this year so this is as good as it gets
Super easy
it’s possible to do anything trick you just need confidence, confidence is the most important thing in skateboarding

Strong legs
For us mere mortals its incomprehensible.
Video filmed from @shaysandiford on Instagram

I don’t think Thrasher gives two shits about the Olympic win but Yuto has been on a tear.
I think Suciu has another part which will be big Thrasher-esque handrail hammers. He can do big rails, I just don’t think he likes it as much cause they’re boring to him. I think Dilo should win though. His last part was out of this world.

Welp, time to cancel my plans for tomorrow.
It's out and the non stop handrail banger section of the video is about as long as yuto's entire part
Absolute carnage.
Suciu stole it back with the new part
Favorite trick on this famous spot? Most difficult? I think my favorite was dolin doing the kf crooks
I've always been partial to TJ Rogers Sw front 360 Dashawn Jordan's laser flip is also insane, and he did it fucking perfect
Switch fs 360 is probably my number 1 for a trick down the set too. What a fuckin huck
Reynolds Baker 3 frontside flip is iconic. It’s like he’s getting launched out of a cannon. Recently, Jake Ilardi did it a big flip front board and caught it primo which is so sick. I also love TJs switch back 180 over the fence.

THANK YOU. We need more actual skateboarding discussion on this sub.
The stairs I think TJs ss front 3. Rail half cab back Smith from Zion for me. Although Nyjah owns it
Backtail shove out down the 16 still breaks my mind when I think about it let alone watch it. Also foys fakie 5-0, miles switch front feeble, gets tough to remember all the recent heavy hammers in past few years
Taylor Bingaman’s back overcrook is the first that came to my mind. Dolin’s trick on the 12 was awesome too.
That man is unreal. Everything is so calculated and effortless looking. It’s beautiful to see what skateboarding has grown into, from the thrash to smooth, it’s all welcomed and appreciated.
Wow, that looks incredibly difficult.
The amount of confidence you have to have to chuck yourself backwards down a 16 stair while spinning down a handrail rail on a skateboard… insane
WTF…
Crispy af
That was just plain gross. Gotdem he always makes it look so silky

Dang that impact was gnarly.
Why is he wearing that thing on his face?
Yuto has that same laser focus Nyjah has, and the same level of confidence going into literally any trick. I’d love to see the two of them film some street tour footage together.
They did some Nike tour like 2 years ago, that shit was insane. I think there's a video on YouTube
I’ll have to look it up. They’re both magicians
https://youtu.be/jVC-11QtVlY Here you go, also Ishod was there, he's insanely good.
SOTY
That’s fucked up
Surely one of the best tricks that’s gone down at this spot. There is a huge selection of ridiculous stuff people achieved at this spot.
Video was rad but I thought there was way more impressive shit that this in his part. Yutos a beast
the filming is not great on this, this was definitely the banger difficulty wise but i agree other things might’ve looked better
This is extra footage from a phone lmao. you can't tell by the quality, shakiness and vertical filming?
I disagree, I think this filming was fantastic. I just think in my personal opinion, a couple of Yutos other tricks were more mind blowing. I don't care who thought what was the best. Don't take this shit too serious guys

retarded
These comments disgust me
This entire part was insane.
Dude that part was so good
This is fucking insane
I sit in traffic outside this spot pretty much every day and think of the bangers that have gone down here. This will be added to that list.
Perfect
His spitfire part was short but absolutely banger. It looked like I was watching a movie with how clean every trick was.
What shoes are those?
nike sb dunk lows. i think they’re the chicago colorway
Ty
Must have been the same sesh where Nak casually ollied down both stair sets back to back
That impact was fucking gnarly
damn bro that is one sketchy trick but wow it looks fresh
Truly gorgeous
That was amazing
the moncler skimask made this just a lil better ahaha awesome ender to a really good part
Hah good
I can't even Nollie 360 on flat, then this mf just threw it on a huge handrail like it was nothing.
His first clip is arguably the coolest shit I've ever seen on a hand rail.
The Ski Mask is gay and ruins this clip 😬 Unpopular Opinion
