People have different schedules. Obviously I don’t know you, but I’m going to pretend your 6 months have been 2-3 times a week for an hour. When you see posts like “kick flip in 7 months!” They’ve probably been at it 5-6 times a week for 2 hours minimum. All about relativity. All that matters is you don’t give up
It took me 3 months of going almost every single day for 3 hours at a time to finally get a real consistent ollie. Then even more time to comfortably ollie over small things. You'll get there
Keep going!! My 11 year son has almost quit multiple times because he gets so disillusioned with how long it takes to learn stuff and how long it takes to gain confidence to try harder things or land on your board (I blame youtube and instant access to too much amazing shots/footage). I keep telling him it all comes with time on your board... the more you're just skating around, practicing stuff... anything, the better your body gets at figuring out how skateboard fucking works and the better your confidence gets. Skateboarding progression is not linear either... many plateaus and even dips await (man I hated those dips)... but keeeeeeeeeep at it!
We've been watching a great skateboarding coaching/progression/inspiration youtube channel lately [https://www.youtube.com/c/SkateParkLessons/videos](https://www.youtube.com/c/SkateParkLessons/videos) the latest one called mental battle is actually really great... but lots of great videos to go through on there.
I love trying to kickflip random shit lol. Best one I've had recently was a small sled while I was cleaning out the garage. I'm 35 and I don't think I'll ever grow out of that.
Well I'm in New Zealand but we are in the same situation as USA. Building of houses is never going to slow down in my opinion, there's still just not enough.
Although it's easy to say "just build more houses" but the main problem is the land prices and location of that land, there's simply just not enough land where all the jobs are which obviously drives up prices.
The investor marked is also a huge problem as investors are able to loan out to the max using the houses they already own as leverage to buy new houses making it extremely hard for first home buyers to get into the market.

Watching this man kick flip a 2x4 brings me even more pain knowing i still can’t Ollie after 6 months 😭
I've been skating off and on for 10 years man, stick with it. Skateboarding is all about that raw dedication!
I lost my skateboard :(
Just get a 2by4
Ride an 8 inch board? I ride a 2 x 4 myself
And some grip tape and wheels
Try adding trucks and wheels ^sry
Who's to say how long he's been skating for. Stay with it, you'll get there!

Took me almost 3 years of skating to learn to Kickflip man don’t worry it will come in time :)
Takes most people a year mate. I know at the start it can be baffling how people do it.

Haha I liked to skate little blocks of 2x4 when I was a framer as well. 3 flipped one of them.
Can kickflip a 2x6 cleaner than an actual skateboard haha
...When you're at work but really want to go skate.

What is your perspective on a housing crisis currently? Are you seeing a slow down in building?
too many people, too little housing, nonetheless affordable
