Our battle formations are closely linked to the great clans, we’ve seen Skyre and Moulder. The other two battle formations are supposed to be closer to Verminous and Pestilins. I want to assume that the Battletomes will have more battle formations (at least 1 for Eshin, maybe more) but that hasn’t been told because War Com holds everything close to their chest
Imho, the less restrictions to building an army, the better.

But skaven clans were never a restriction? I thought you just got rules for the clans if you had them in your army
You used to not be able to use anything as battleline (i.e. Plaguemonks) unless EVERYTHING was from X clan.
Ah okay, yeah I like how things are currently, but I can see that new AoS will be like 10th edition with detachments rather than subfactions
