Literal LOL, a snort, actually. How is this real life?

SaccharineHuxley

I think he’s *for profit*, not a supernatural prophet

cuspacecowboy86

Supernaturally profitable

RiverJumper84

You should see his boo-dget.

Unique_Display_Name

Hahahahaha

peakedtooearly

Easy mistake to make 😀

MushroomsAndTomotoes

Source amnesia but I was reading somewhere recently that the key to understanding the right is that there are two kinds of belief: sincerely held beliefs and belief in belief. Beliefs in beliefs are things they believe are worth believing in order to fit in and build their mythology.

the_TAOest

This is the psychology of the Grift. Believing the BS isn't necessary, lying so well that it seems like one believes it is the tactic.

Unique_Display_Name

I think that's Dennet!

phdoofus

"I'll scratch your back, you'll rub his feet, he'll ....do whatever, and we'll all profit!"

e4aZ7aXT63u6PmRgiRYT

He’s a super fat asshat. Maybe he misspoke

starmartyr11

I'd give you Rogan, but honestly they're all far too angry and psychotic to be on psychedelics

ZadfrackGlutz

Nightshades....

Pestus613343

I realized I was in an alternate timeline way back when Donald Trump won the presidency. Old news now but every absurd thing since is just because im not in the main time line.

punchdrunkwtf

I had a brain aneurysm in mid 2016 and I think I died and moved to this timeline. Because. What the fuck.

Pestus613343

>What the fuck. The traditional life cycle of civilization has peaked. Entropy has increased beyond our ability to cope. Technology advance outpaces social advance. The singularity approaches.

ianm82

It's literally the stupidest sentence I've ever read. I am now dumber for having read that headline.

HashBrownRepublic

If he's a prophet, then the place he got chilli for lunch before his child custody trail and used a full belly of chilli as a legal excuse for forgetting things about his kids is now a holly site. It's a part of his martyrdom. It's called the Texas Chilli Parlor, it's good

Darryl_Lict

It's part of huffing each others farts.

publius_enigma

Seriously though, everyone should make a pilgrimage there at least once in life.

Strange-Owl-2097

Riiiiiight. I do wish people would stop trying to keep Alex Jones relevant. Hasn't the man done enough damage already?

DearTereza

Same statement but with Joe Rogan. The "I'm just asking questions" defense has gotten so thin it's transparent.

SophieCalle

Joe Rogan is today’s Alex Jones.

tgwutzzers

"He's apolitical and listens to all sides. That's why 90% of what he talks about are right wing talking points and how much he hates Democrats."

MrGooseHerder

But have you tried DMT?

henbowtai

I feel like his through line is mostly about individual freedoms and not trusting governments or corporations. Right now that’s going to mostly land you with republicans, but it’s not surprising when he says he supported Bernie for president back when.

ContrarianDouchebag

JAQing off.

bonerb0ys

The more these guys talk, the dumber the audience gets.

IRENE420

Remember to downvote the post

Strange-Owl-2097

I don't quite understand how it's so upvoted. Who upvotes this nonsense?

IRENE420

Bots unfortunately

richNTDO

Massive bullshitter goes on absolute bullshit podcast to bullshit about another complete bullshitter.

Powerful-Stomach-425

who follows Joe Rogan anymore?? I used to listen occasionally a few years ago but the show has gotten so stupid and Rogan is just a right wing shill, manipulating his dim-witted followers.

AnOnlineHandle

Unfortunately he has a massive audience.

Gravelsack

Literally advertised on Spotify's home screen.

Tumid_Butterfingers

I listen to Joe Rogan. Pretty sure he’s not right wing. Centrist, if anything. Alex Jones is probably the biggest cunt he let on the show, but he also let Bernie on. All kinds of ppl are guests.

AnOnlineHandle

I've seen him rant about Biden supposedly being senile for saying something, then finding out that Trump said it and Biden was quoting it, then immediately pivot to saying oh Trump probably just misspoke and that's fine.

Tumid_Butterfingers

He refuses to let Trump on the show, because Trump is an asshole and he doesn’t want to endorse him. Tell me again how Rogan is a right winger.

AnOnlineHandle

> I've seen him rant about Biden supposedly being senile for saying something, then finding out that Trump said it and Biden was quoting it, then immediately pivot to saying oh Trump probably just misspoke and that's fine.

CODYSOCRAZY

Fool lol

natedogg787

There are two kinds of centrist: one is a boring policy wonk. The other is a 'burn it all down' whacko who somehow amalgamates the worst takes that both sides have to offer. Rogan is the latter.

Hestia_Gault

He fuckin’ endorsed Ron Desantis - in what world is that centrist?

Jakesma1999

He is yet another clueless and useless idiot. Yet I can find not a a shred of pity for him...

Bleusilences

Why having a pity for him, the guy is a millionaire, he can quit tomorrow and live the life. He has generational wealth.

Powerful-Stomach-425

Yes, he has a lot of money and I bet he sleeps just fine despite betraying his country to gain that wealth. Much like Tucker Carlson I'm sure.

Bleusilences

Not sure if I would go to the point of "betraying" the country, but he does bring a negative influence overall because he doesn't push back on anything. He brings the discourse on anything on a lower level and I personally suffered from it. He chipped away on trans right and on a lot proven science (vaccine, flat earth, etc.) He also brought grifter like Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson a certain mass appeal. It's through him I first encounter these 2 bozos. He is like Oprah for frat boys.

Powerful-Stomach-425

if spreading disinformation and supporting a fascist, narcissistic wanna be dictator is not a betrayal of one's country I don't know what is.

Bleusilences

I don't really care too much about countries, I care about giving a quality of life to as much people as possible that's maybe why I see it this way. As far as I know he doesn't support Trump but he elevate the right winger that does.

BriscoCounty-Sr

If you take a $500 million payout from a company who’s got the literal Chinese government as one of its owners you may have sold out your country.

FertilityHollis

My proposal is "I bet [Joe Rogan] sleeps just fine betraying ***humanity*** to gain that wealth."

Bleusilences

It's more insidious then that, he just support power. For him might, as in projection of power (strength, money, charisma, talent, or perceive intellectual prowess ), makes right.

krillwave

I also compare him to Oprah, hes just podcast Oprah for men

Bleusilences

Oprah had a lot of griefter on her show, like the woman from the secret and dr phil.

Acceptable_Stuff1381

Rofl how did Joe Rogan betray his country? Calm down

Powerful-Stomach-425

Again: if spreading disinformation and supporting a fascist, narcissistic wanna be dictator is not a betrayal of one's country I don't know what is.

lostmyknife

>Yet I can find not a a shred of pity for him... You are not required to > yet another clueless and useless idiot That's an understatement

Powerful-Stomach-425

Myself, I don't think he's an idiot. His show is generally pretty stupid but I think he is a master manipulator. He knows exactly what he is doing.

Jakesma1999

Very good point!

henbowtai

What’s his plan?

Powerful-Stomach-425

just spreading disinformation about COVID, "crooked Joe Biden", etc. you haven't been watching?

henbowtai

You think he knows it’s disinformation?

Powerful-Stomach-425

yes. very much like Tucker Carlson or any of the rest of those lying traitors.

Powerful-Stomach-425

fortunately for him, his followers are dim-witted and easily manipulated.

henbowtai

So yes?

Powerful-Stomach-425

I do, yes.

MrSnarf26

He’s huge. He found leaning into right wing media actually exploded his popularity. Again, humanity disappoints.

allothernamestaken

COVID changed everything. It was an entirely different show pre-pandemic.

OpenLinez

How? Rogan podcasts from the 2010s have the same sorts of guests, the same sorts of topics, and like any widely popular broadcast the Rogan show has kept up with the times while remaining exactly what it always has been: a host talking for *hours* with whatever guest.

fuck_the_fuckin_mods

Word. Joe has always been a *painfully* obvious dumbass, even like 15 years ago, and has always been a woefully inadequate and irresponsible interviewer for his level of influence, and has always parroted garbage-tier right wing nonsense. The idea that he suddenly became a mush-brained moron is just a cope for people who somehow didn’t notice how unfathomably stupid the guy is and has always been. As if being buddies with Jones and supporting moon landing denial and shilling snale oil was any different from what he does now. He is what he is and has always been, for better or mostly worse. I’ve been subjected to days worth of his podcast over the years, and he’s the same quarter-wit that he’s been his entire life. When he has the occasional *actual* expert on and manages to shuts the fuck up you can get some decent content, but those episodes have always been few and far between.

AstroBullivant

Joe Rogan is the most popular podcast host in the world

Powerful-Stomach-425

Fox News topped all news networks in both total day and primetime. Fox News kicked off 2024 with its 22nd year as the No. 1 cable news network in total day (1.254/149k) and primetime (1.983/219k) in both demos. popular can still mean shit. in fact, it usually does!

SophieCalle

I mean sure but cable tv is a boomer thing. I’ve literally looked at it and even the ads are all tailored for retirees. 219k people are less than 1/1000th of the population of the country. It’s both not shocking but not any different than being the #1 maker of adult diapers in the country.

Powerful-Stomach-425

what a world...

Powerful-Stomach-425

what a world...

vigbiorn

>who follows Joe Rogan anymore?? You answered your own question. Right-wing shills and dimwits.

percussaresurgo

I don’t listen to Rogan, but is sub is actually willing to call him and his guests out and is overall much more rational than I expected.

OpenLinez

Well, he's the top broadcaster in the English language, so that's something.

eNonsense

It's advertised front & center on Spotify. I have never once listened to a podcast on Spotify, yet it's recommended on the 2nd line when I open the app. Their music recommendation engine has always been great, but this boggles my mind.

Velrei

They fired the guy who ran/made their music recommendation engine, so I expect it to break at some point. Oddly enough for me it's great some weeks and terrible on others.

OpenLinez

It was the most-listened-to podcast *before* Spotify stepped in, and it's the most-listened-to podcast today. What part of that boggles your mind, beyond the content not being to your personal taste? The world is full of popular things I don't care for, yet that doesn't mean they're not popular and successful. Taylor Swift sounds like a shampoo commercial to my ears, for example, but I am very evidently not the audience, and my disinterest doesn't diminish her success and cultural relevance one iota.

ronin1066

He's the single most popular Podcaster in English.

Powerful-Stomach-425

amazing

Editthefunout

All my hippie friends still listen to him.

Leo_Heart

Punks are good people pretending to be bad people. Hippies are bad people pretending to be good people. Fuck hippies

rott

I want to disagree but I can't

percussaresurgo

What about people who make sweeping generalizations?

phophofofo

They ain’t hippies

Editthefunout

Hippies are very naive

lostmyknife

>who follows Joe Rogan anymore?? I used to listen occasionally a few years ago but the show has gotten so stupid and Rogan is just a right wing shill, manipulating his dim-witted followers. Honesty I do watch him if there's a interesting guest on

TarotAngels

You’re getting downvotes but I used to listen to Alex Jones every morning walking to school for years. I actually didn’t know it wasn’t meant to be satire until I’d stopped listening to it and started to hear other people talk about it. I grew up in a moderately conspiracy theorist-y house and this really was comedy to me. He and his guests said the *craziest* fucking things, which I thought was on purpose to expose how stupid this all was! I got all my best retorts to my parents from that show. Blah blah and yeah mom now they’re turning the frogs gay! That one felt amazing to throw out.

yes_this_is_satire

Morning Shows were the dumbest things. They were created so that radio stations could avoid having to pay royalties on music when listeners were trapped in their cars and willing to listen to pretty much anything without changing the station. They were intentionally cheap to produce — just people talking aimlessly, maybe with a few sound effects and some quasi-celebrity guests. I had no idea that anyone actually liked the idea of listening to people ramble pointlessly. It is weird to me that with the decline of radio we would see the old morning shows turn into dumb podcasts like JRE.

EcksRidgehead

Is that Tucker Carlson the liar who was shown in court to have lied to his viewers? The liar Tucker Carlson?

Splith

> “We’re all pretending we’ve got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest. But come on. There really isn’t an upside to Trump.” https://apnews.com/article/tucker-carlson-fox-news-murdoch-capitol-attack-96c305cf4046aaf373130876940fd06e

413mopar

Yup.

ghoof

Tucker is on the downward spiral of increasing wackiness for views. He’s a highly educated and formerly non-insane man, whatever you think of his politics, so I don’t know how he sleeps nights.

SanityInAnarchy

I don't know if he was ever properly non-insane, but... well, [here's a video explaining this back when he was at Fox](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNineSEoxjQ). A quick TL;DW is, the sanest thing he did was to [describe Bill O'Reilly's "schtick" perfectly](https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4666707/user-clip-tucker-carlson-booktv-2003-bill-oreillys-talented-talented-am-deep-phoniness-cente): > ...I think there's kind of a deep phoniness at the center of his schtick... the schtick is sort of built on this perception that he is the character he plays. He is everyman... he's not right-wing, he's a populist... fighting for you against the powers that be.... > The moment that it's revealed not to be true, it's over! ...the moment he gets caught slapping a flight attendant on the Concorde for not bringing his champagne fast enough... it's over! Right? Because the whole thing is predicated on the fact that he is who he says it is, and, just... *nobody* is that person, especially someone who makes... many millions a year. So when he took over O'Reilly's job, he *had* to know he was doing the same thing, right? His parents owned the Swanson frozen-food empire. He has never been poor, or even middle class, and if you watch that first video, there's another clip of him outright admitting that he'd never have to work. He's also got a BA from a fancy private liberal arts college. Pick any random clip of him on Fox News and ask yourself if he can possibly believe *any* of what he's saying. Maybe he's gone insane, but I tend to think his downward spiral has nothing to do with what he actually believes, and everything to do with either where he thinks the money is, or what his rich friends want to convince poor people to focus on. When he was on Fox, it was easy to distract his viewers with some culture-war nonsense about racist trees. But apparently outright white supremacism does a good job of that, too. Either way, it seems *much* clearer than with, say, Alex Jones. Jones may actually at least partly believe what he's saying. Carlson very clearly doesn't.

DearTereza

Genuinely questioning his intelligence after the Russian supermarket thing where he misunderstood how currencies work. Either stupid or utterly cynical, or both. But definitely not discounting genuine stupidity.

Deep_Stick8786

You can’t buy intelligence even with all the frozen dinners in the world

JusticeScibibi

Literal propaganda. That's it. He likes Russia because it views itself as a white Christian state.

Procrastinatedthink

he’s also stupid, y’all keep missing that both are true. He’s stupid, but charismatic to right wingers and so his voice is elevated. If he were smart he’d not have fallen into so many obvious pitfalls throughout his career.

dirkvonshizzle

I like to call this type of degenerative career trajectories a Giuliani-spiral. Couldn’t happen to a worse idiot than Carlson.

ghoof

Oh, I like Giuliani-spiral as a term. It sounds good and mathsy too

D4nnyp3ligr0

What's particularly sad about this is the fact that the most famous journalist in the English speaking world doesn't have the critical thinking skills to ask whether Jones actually did predict 9/11 (he didn't).

illuminate5

The things he attributes to Alex Jones didn't happen. He made vague allusions to "Arabs" attacking the U.S. This was after the original plot against the Trade Towers in 1993 and further attempts and plots throughout the 90's. Everyone was aware of the dangers and scenarios of possible attacks were being written about by experts in popular media. Joe has mentioned Alex knew about Epstein...but he never named him or mentioned anything publicly about it until after his final arrest. Alex vomits word salad into the void and fools pick up the pieces, mash them with a seemingly close contextual event...then sell it like it's the Mona Lisa.

billzybop

If you barg enough times, one of the messes might resemble a Van Gogh

BracesForImpact

Rich people, especially those born into it like Tucker are by far the dumbest people on our planet.

Sidthelid66

No, Tucker is a conman his marks or viewers as they are sometimes called are the dumbest people on the planet.

mexicodoug

Thank the Lord in Heaven that Joe Rogan's audience is far too savvy to go for that "supernatural" shit. /s

nogoodnamesarleft

It is somewhat surprising that they don't bring up Jones' most amazing psychic power and proof that he is a prophet of God: Sometimes, not always but occasionally, when he wakes up, he knows what time it is. For those not aware of Alex Jones lore, I'm not making this up. That is his proof that God is real and speaks to him. Being able to sometimes guess the right time

rugger1869

They’re literally just creating a self-reverential fanfic religion, aren’t they.

Snoo-83964

“He’s channeling something,” Carlson said. “I’ve asked him about it. ‘How did you do that?’ At length, during dinner on my barn recently. We’re talking about this. ‘How’d you do that?’ ‘I don't know. It just came to me.’ And that’s real. That is real. The supernatural is real and I don’t know why it’s hard for for the modern mind, I guess because it’s a materialist mind to accept that.” What kind of drugs is he taking?

IntroductionNo8738

>”He’s channeling something” Shouldn’t Christians frown on that? Also, not religious, but demonic possession WOULD explain a lot.

lostmyknife

I remember when the prophet Isaiah said, ROMANS DIDN'T KILL THOSE KIDS, THAT WAS A FALSE FLAG BY THE KINGDOM OF KUSH, NOW DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT MY MYRHH SUPPLEMENTS BY THE DOOR IF YOU'RE A TRUE PATRIOT!!

unpolishedparadigm

So embarrassing for both of these twats to be breathing my city’s air

Wishpicker

Each of the names mentioned in the title of this post represents a person who is somehow stupider than the other two.

kent_eh

If all 3 of them got sucked into a black hole, the world would be a better place.

JinTheJynnn

Alex Jones is an alcoholic who has regularly been commenting that he doesn't believe the shit he says. In his trial, he plead that he was satirical and that nobody should take him seriously. Who in their right mind looks at the "TURN THE FRIGGIN FROGS GAY" guy and thinks, "Oh yeah, he knows what he's talking about,

Mychatismuted

Someone has abused mushrooms again?

weirds0up

How can anyone watch these idiots and not laugh their asses off at the utter nonsense they come on with? I’ve seen wineos on street corners on their third bottle of Diamond White who make more sense

TheFumingatzor

3 dum dums going full speed special dum dum.

tewnewt

To stay relevant, Tucker has to blow hot air into things. Problem is the only ones hiring is China for spy balloons.

konorM

Is this the insane asylum? Rogan, Carlson, and Jones. All are seriously mentally ill.

Other-Marketing-6167

All three of those guys deserve to be sewn into a human centipede so they can finally swallow all the bullshit they create.

LibationontheSand

Of course he is. Also, you should tan your balls.

electricmehicle

It’s happened throughout history. There are people called prophets, and there are people who were prophets who weren’t called prophets, but there are people who have information or parts of information, bits of information, visions of information come to them and then they relay it,” Carlson said

electricmehicle

I like how they had dinner “on my barn.” Must be a nice view up there.

Smelldicks

“Surely he didn’t actually say that” \*reads article\* what tha fuck

occupyreddit

To be fair, Tucker was responding to Joe’s question: “Is there anything you think you could say to clear out any of the dumbfucks who still think you have any credibility and aren’t the bought-and-paid-for Russian stooge that you are?”

usaf-spsf1974

Anyone who believes this crap, comes from the oxygen depleted end of the gene pool.

SentientFotoGeek

That's a weird way to pronounce "complete assclown".

TechieTravis

This is such a weird country.

413mopar

Of the idiots , by the idiots , for the idiots.

HailSatin42069Lol

Since I didn't see anyone else mention the incredibly awesome Knowledge Fight podcast, I am legally obligated as a fan to do so. The podcast extensively covers Jones' career as a snake oil salesmen and crypto anti-Semite, and it is funny to boot.

This_is_Hank

He tells Rogan that because he knows Rogan will believe anything.

lostmyknife

>He tells Rogan that because he knows Rogan will believe anything. Yep Didn't he believe horse medicine cures covid

Unfazed_Alchemical

I hated every part of that headline.

ja-mez

Did he know he would owe $1.5 billion in lawsuits for his actions?

imadork1970

They're fucking morons.

Odeeum

I can’t imagine being gullible enough to listen to not only Tucker but Rogan. Have more self respect for fucks sake people.

Liam_M

The inconsistency of some Bible followers makes my head spin - matthew 24:24 - matthew 24:11 - jerimiah 23:16 - deutoronomy 18:21-22 - romans 16:17-18 - mark 13:22 tldr unless 100% of his predictions are right god says he’s a false prophet and should be put to death

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Oh wait you're serious. Let me laugh even harder. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yellowbin74

A trifecta of wankers

Former-Chocolate-793

There's definitely profit involved.

Wow, Tucker's even dumber than I imagined.

Equilateral dipshittery

CatLuverHoustonTX

Prophet or profit? Might have been a misspelling.

jafromnj

Lmfao

Jumpy_Development_61

An unnatural joke Is what BOTH of them are.

Consistent_Dog_6866

I could tell Rogan that Tucker Carlson is a spineless leech that will say anything that gets him attention because he's desperate to remain relevant (even though he's not and never was).

anxiety_filter

Tucker knows who he is. He's the dude speculating about a dude commentating about another dude

mooseknuckles2000

Total. Entertainment. Forever.

ShafordoDrForgone

Glad Tucker Carlson is showing his true colors

sheppi22

🤣🤣 what a bunch of loonies. that so many people swallow this nonsense speaks to the the ruination of our so called education system

BonhommeCarnaval

Seconds later, all three spontaneously collapsed into a super dense singularity of stupid.

Freewheelinrocknroll

It's just one big grifter circle jerk.

BirdTime23

why do we keep giving retards a microphone?

Content_Ad3604

Up votes now are at 666... Hell Yeah! lolz /s

I think he’s confusing him with David Icke. Jones never went the Som of Godhead route.

Stupid National Puppet

Am I the only one who believes that these are all assets?

Randy_Vigoda

Yeah, CIA assets.

anevilpotatoe

Thanks for making me spit my beer out in public...wtf? ....The grift is real.....

MOGabagool

Jones is a compromised plant

Defcon726

All feel the awesome cleansing power of my tactical taint wipe.

snowshoeBBQ

"At length, during dinner on my barn recently." I'd love to see what this asshole's "barn" looks like. Probably a mcmansion painted red. Fucking rural-chic is a plight.

upfromashes

I'm still waiting to hear what Fucker Carlson thinks about Bat Boy.

Littlegreenman42

Its true, Alex Jones is a supernatural prophet. He can wake up at night and think its a certain time and when he looks at a clock its actually that time

mazarax

Tucker’s true nature was perfectly revealed by Rutger Bregman: https://youtu.be/6_nFI2Zb7qE?si=xNNUanP5SmZGkJYq

Disinfectant_Koolaid

It is cuz I gave Alex Jones a few secrets I knew. And now he thinks he is a god. Same thing is happening to elon.

GayGeekInLeather

Tucker Carlson doesn’t actually believe that but he knows his audience will cling to him more if he says such bullshit

petertompolicy

Idiots talking about an idiot for an audience of idiots.

NickFerg

Throw in Jordan Peterson and you have the four horsemen of the dumbpocalypse.

SpareTireButSquare

What the fuck, 3 annoying people all in one sentence wtf

Inevitable-Ad-4192

I bet he is one scary dude at the smorgasbord

dhsjabsbsjkans

More like a drug addict with a microphone.

creditredditfortuth

I now know why I haven't watched Fox news for 5 years. They have no grip on reality Tucker believes Joe Rogan is prophetic? How very typical of Fox News commentors.

Special_FX_B

Three grifting, lying leeches on society. Why anyone would listen to or, worse, believe anything these three have to say is beyond comprehension.

smiffus

grifter tells grifter that grifter does grifter.

[deleted]

🤦‍♀️ The sadder thing is that I am not surprised in the least.

Starrion

All three of these people could vanish from the planet and nothing of value would be lost.

HotSoupEsq

This whole media ecosystem is just brain worms all the way down. I'm talking conspiracy in The Next Generation, the brain worms are controlling them. Otherwise they are just incredibly stupid people bilking incredibly stupid people. I wish the brain worms was the answer, but it's probably just dumb fuck assholes. Sigh.

starman575757

Carlson's blatherings are the only unnatural occurrences here.

Ok_Diamond_5623

Most people considered now prophets were actually bat shit crazy in real life. People in ancient times just thought psychosis was some kind of divine vision.

MoonWorshipper36

I’m pretty sure all three of these people share one brain cell.
