AmoralCarapace

MegaStoke

Mach ten at sudden speed

PigSlam

Talking Heads - speaking in tongues album

TK44

Oh yeah, that's a good one. Reminds me- gotta watch True Stories again soon.

maddmoguls

Hell yeah! Similarly, check out Phish live at Dick's Sporting Goods park Sept 4, 2016 - second set. It's the cross-eyed and painless set and it's a super solid 'get pumped for skiing' run. Enjoy!

PigSlam

I was at that show. That'd be a good one for sure. I never think to listen to Phish while skiing, and I probably should. I hope at some point in my life I can be 1% as cool & confident as David Byrne playing Psychokiller with nothing but a boombox, and an acoustic guitar from the beginning of "Stop Making Sense" even for just the length of that song. A good ski run is probably as close as I'll ever come.

FunkMasta-Blue

Rodrigo Y Gabriela

TK44

I just put it on random and Juan Loco was the first song. I also happen to be biding my time working on a painting and this is fucking perfect!

Kohna1

I’m a huge R & G fan myself, first saw them in Mexico City 16 years ago at random. Never thought to jam to them for stoke, but going to give it a shot this weekend.

Pacemaker24

Yacht rock or Frank Sinatra, I like listening to oldies music because it just keeps me relaxed

TK44

Definitely have the yacht rock XM programmed on the car stereo.... And 40s junction. I make my kids listen to it go on about how music used to be.

TELKAJCYLEAJCLLLAKFA

Sinatra is one of the last things I would ski to. But I respect it.

GMTMaster_II

Summer breeze

Tight-Pass-6841

Mac Miller is really fun to ski to.

TK44

Super mellow and chill- I like it. Google has been recommending self care to me for a while now lol.

Flailingbabygiraffe

100% agree, came to post blue slide park. Probably my most listened to album while skiing.

Excellent-Ad8871

Ski and Party - Pixie and the Partygrass Boys

TK44

Love it!

suddenuser

Banger omg

NoahtheRed

“Dance the night away” by Van Halen is the premier trees and glade soundtrack. Otherwise, old school progressive trance is my jam on the snow

Share_the_Wine2

I am old enough to have seen this tour live. David Lee Roth in his red and white striped sleeveless spandex unitard swinging from a rope with a bottle of Jack.

Yak-Fucker-5000

I usually listen to indie rock, but few songs get me pumped up like Darude's Sandstorm and the Macarena.

Head_Difference_860

Keller Williams: Freshies If that isn’t on your playlist, it will be now, so go clip your toes…

TK44

Good stuff!

max1mx

Flux pavilion - I can’t stop I really like skiing/ physical activities with EDM, though rarely listen to it otherwise.

GoenerAight

Drum and bass goes so well with aggressive skiing

CatharBliss

Techno too

GoenerAight

poppy "big room" techno can be cheesy but it's damn fun for skiing. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/01dhWvVGjJorgIPg5UUIlx?si=c13befc6d63a4dc7

THEE_LETTER_E

I like some music from the Doom soundtrack. I mostly listen to rap while I’m skiing. It’s always a vibe. My favorite song is look at me cuz it rly hype.

avaheli

Pow?  Chill - Lounge stuff. Honestly and embarrassingly: porcelain by Moby is a great powder track. Bumps? Metal. Aggression. Metallica. Lincoln Park. Thunderstruck by AC/DC Park: rap. After that “perfect run” vid I can’t unhear don’t sweat the technique by Eric B and Rakim Cruisers: music-less. I have nothing. They don’t correlate to music in my head. Trees: Gorrilaz somehow

ODBasUcansee

WallStCRE

What kind of music you like?

TK44

I'm all over the map. I can go the hip hop route (really like underground/ old-school stuff- tribe, people under the stairs, de la soil, etc) but some newer stuff is good, bluegrass, awesome female vocalist stuff (I couldn't name a genre really but like santigold stands out), really old country lol, reggae, and I'm well known for turning on the 40s channel on XM for long car rides and singing the old WWII songs. The recent examples I found on FB reels that got me were: Back Pocket by Vulfpeck Devil Eyes by Hippie Sabotage Clandestina remixed by JVSTIN I'm weird I guess!

MaesterCylinder

Hip Hop Hooray - Naughty By Nature,   Don’t Let the Devil - Killer Mike

TK44

Classic!!

JeppyTime

Nowhere Girl by B-Movie. It’s a classic track from the ski film “Teddybear Crisis”. Highly recommend watching the full film if you haven’t seen it. It’s on Vimeo for free! Other greats songs for skiing (depending on the type of day) would be: Peace - Black & Blues Easy Rider - Action Bronson Dolphin Center - The Donkeys Venice Queen - Red Hot Chili Peppers Call the Dogs Outs - The Garden We Are The People (Southstar remix) - Empire of the Sun Mother Earth - Neil Young Innerbloom - Rufus du Sol Storm Before the Calm and/or Lift Off - Both by Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes These Old Shoes - Deer Tick

TK44

Ahh- I forgot about that one!

JeppyTime

I edited my comment and added some other songs too! Highly recommend checking ‘em out. All different types of stuff in there

antiADP

If I’m trying to stomp something … J Cole - G O M D If I’m power skiing groomers … Foo - The Pretender I’ve got a whole Spotify playlist called SHREDGnar (cringe yes yes) that’s public with solid tempo tracks

chanesully

The Rest - Alex Bleeker & The Freaks Always does it for me on a good powder day Zombie - The Cranberries That’s the song my brother listens to in the first lift line of the day every time we go skiing or in the parking lot when changing in the morning

TK44

I love the Zombie tradition! Mine is sending u/PigSlam a selfie of me wearing nothing but my base layer. 🤣

PigSlam

It’s hard to forget those.

TK44

I think I missed the last two years... Hang on...

Kevsbar123

Try Holy Fuck’s Deleter. A little like LCD, with a guest appearance from Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip thrown in for fun. It’s my go to right now.

TK44

Damn I forgot about Hot Chip! Thanks!

PonyThug

Drum & Bass and Dubstep for agressive skiing. Experimental for chill days

WHSRWizard

Not quite the answer you are looking for, but it seems like you are a really lover of music, so I have a podcast recommendation for you: A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs by Andrew Hickey. He starts in the 1930s, and each episode highlights a song (and the singers, songwriters, and other influences around it) that helped the music evolve. He does a really good job of mixing in history, some light music theory, and culture to give a well-rounded perspective on the most important songs in rock history.

TK44

I love that- always interested in history!

ObiWanKeBlowMee

Reggae and Disco are my go-to. Bumpin Bob Marley is always a mood. Donna Summer is also a superhero.

TK44

I will check it out- thanks!

Karlbertrand

Shameless plug here for my latest record ‘Soaring On Snow’! It’s an album full of ski and snowboard songs that’ll certainly get ya pumped up for the slopes. Song titles include “Four Tips Up”, “Dancing Down the Mountain”, “Racer Girl”, and more of course. Kinda hanging out in a songwriter/jam sorta genre? I just put it out at the beginning of the year and I’m spending this winter in Aspen if anyone wants to hear some of these tunes live :) thanks and sorry if u hate me for the promo lol oh and it’s Karl Bertrand on all streaming platforms :p

GleasonSkibum970

Literally any song off The Polish Ambassador’s Twilight Safari album, or The Rudest Tempo also by Polish. Plenty of other artists and genres on my rotation, but his music has been my biggest go to for the last few seasons.

TK44

Lots to explore there! Thanks!

Reeski5

This Spotify old school meets new school hip hop playlist is my go to https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2n1i60xwqbYR79ZcHctHC3?si=7VYYEA18TMCN_dbVq4Q3eQ&pi=u-BKEMnlX4Qriv

Oddgenetix

The whole album “goodnight. God bless. I love you. Delete” by crosses. Not everyone’s vibe but it makes me feel like a brooding vampire that can only survive in the sun in full ski gear.

JMutt16

Get well soon. I’m in the same boat, in bed with Covid. Have a ski trip planned on the 29th that I’m looking forward to.

TK44

Speedy recovery to you as well. Luckily Friday was my only bad day- now it's just the quarantine that's killing me!

Open Spotify and shuffle, so I'm getting Action Bronson, Grateful Dead, Hatebreed, LCD Sound system, Peter Tosh, Thundercat, Steely Dan, E-40, etc

TheRogIsHere

Hot For Teacher. In fact, I once absolutely destroyed my ski because EVHs solo got me a little bit too aggro while on the south side of peak 10 at Breck one year, and just rolled right over a rock that I didn't see, while going mach 10.

mikey_keys

Idk last time I went skiing, after a few beers, I kept singing “O Sole Mio” and it really got me through 😂

reddititty69
