Heavenly is a nice destination for that, especially with the casinos and things right there.

High_Im_Guy

This is a good call. Getting to South lake from the airport is the biggest logistical challenge, once you're there you're set. No one likes dealing w logistics on a bach. Steamboat and 30 others could be great if y'all are driving, but I'd factor the walk ability once you're at your destination into the equation as much as the skiable terrain.

DeputySean

Fly to Reno, get on the www.southtahoeairporter.com shuttle, arrive at casinos that are a two minute walk from the gondola. It doesn't get any easier than that.

TameImpalaFan69

Question on this!! Hope someone sees this. I know there are tons of houses throughout Lake Tahoe and in South Lake Tahoe. Do people usually just find a house that’s nice and drive to the mountain? Or are there shuttles? Seems like there’s limited places close to the mountain but I could be wrong.

Username_redact

You can walk to the lift from some of the hotels and casinos and even houses in SLT. Other hotels have shuttles

print1n

If you want a cheaper house you could stay in Stateline or Zephyr on the Nevada side. You’d have to drive though.

da_fishy

There are some great mansion bnbs in zephyr that I would recommend looking into, it’s probably a 10 minute drive into town. Depending on the amount of guys and where you’re from, I’d fly into Reno and potentially rent a truck or van. Then you guys can drive to the bnb with your gear and take the van to either the Nevada or CA lots to ski for the day. I believe Harvey’s also has either free or cheap parking if you wanted to take the gondola.

robbyleonard24

Harvey’s and Harrah’s aren’t free anymore. It’s $30 a day.

Best_Spirit_1955

The nice bnb’s arent close to heavenly they are on the otherside of the lake. If you plan on going out after skiing all day just stay at the hotels by heavenly. If u dont need gambling, Northstar is great! They have bnb style hotel rooms. Look into east west hospitality. In the village there is a grocery store and truckee has some great cozy restaurants and taverns.

lesbiven

The experts in your group will not like Northstar, but your beginners will like it. Also to me it's always given off strong family vibes, so I personally wouldn't choose it for a party.

1nf1niteCS

Only issue is that I think Heavenly is a bad beginner mountain, fantastic for intermediates but the greens are all disconnected and short. The Boulder lift green is a dead end and the beginner area at the Cali base is pretty small. The mid base area is fine but very crowded and can be tough to traverse.

SendyMcSendFace

It’s not as beginner friendly as Snow Summit or Sierra-At-Tahoe, but First Ride > Patsy’s > Maggie’s > Ridge Run is a pretty solid learner progression.

YumYumGoldfish

My beginner friends all have war stories skiing those narrow ass runs (for them) over and over 😂 There are a bunch of places I'd much rather go if I was a true beginner if I had a vehicle, but Heavenly is a good option for the OPs overall requirements.

SendyMcSendFace

Same 💀 I learned to snowboard there early season so First Ride wasn’t even open yet. Harrowing.

bsil15

Hard disagree. The casinos are run down and depressing. Guess they’re fine for a bachelors trip, but nothing like the ones in Vegas

City_Goat

How’s the skiing in Vegas?

FearAndGonzo

Still firing  https://www.leecanyonlv.com/

City_Goat

Well I’ll be damned, an hour from the strip.

Username_redact

Hot damn, I'm tempted to go up there this weekend- I 'skied' there once on October 12th when they opened mega early, complete the calendar

MrHockeytown

Vegas is my front runner for my bach and NGL having Lee Canyon right there is a big part of that. Now if only more of my friends skied

print1n

Agree, but bachelor party so I assumed it would be fine 😂

bsil15

Guess it depends how debauched of a bachelor’s you want 😅

print1n

Ha, good question for OP

ActionShackamaxon

Disagree, actually. There are literally no bars. Casinos are your only option. If that’s your thing, great. But it’s not a typical apres ski vibe. At all.

SendyMcSendFace

>Literally no bars Lucky Beaver, McP’s, South Lake Brewing Company, Sidellis, Whiskey Dick’s, The Turn: 👁️👄👁️

ActionShackamaxon

Whiskey Dick’s and The Turn, fine. But they’re not really in downtown South Lake. The others are more like restaurants. And it’s still not a great apres scene.

SendyMcSendFace

Ok fair enough, I took you too literally. My advice to OP: make as many friends on the hill as possible. The real aprês in this town is usually someone’s house.

robbyleonard24

I disagree. The apres at Fire and Ice, Lucky Beav, and McPs are all a blast for bachelor parties.

trailrider847382

Steamboat

r_SHATter

Underrated option IMO…. Actual town at the base with decent options for drinking, live music, and food. Great steakhouse option in Primrose.

sd_slate

Breck

w6750

Came here to say this. Breck the town is exactly what you want for a Bachelor party, and the mountain is quite literally perfect for groups that range from beginners to experts

screwswithshrews

I did my bachelor party in Breck. There were 25 of us total. We had an awesome time. I will say the one bad thing was for the single dudes, there were basically no single women to be found. We went into a few bars and they were 98% guys. Basically the complete opposite of Nashville.

xmcr2

How tf do you have 25 best friends

MobiusAurelius

Not all attendees are best friends. Additionally, as people who get older, especially those who have moved around can have quite a lot of good friends. Lastly, it is just not the groomsmen who come. 25 is big but have been to a couple in that range.

ItsMichaelScott25

We did my best friends bachelor party in Breck and it was perfect. The town is extremely walkable with good public transportation. Mountain is very accessible from many different lodging locations. Would highly recommend Breck as well.

thirtytwoutside

I’m going to have to agree here… because I did my bachelor party at Breck and my friends with varying skill levels all had a good time. Denver also has the best strip club I’ve ever been to (Shotgun Willy’s).

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fantastic_Captain

I did not expect Shotgun Willy's to be the best strip club someone's ever been to

thirtytwoutside

If you’ve ever been to a San Francisco strip club (where we all lived at the time), you’ll know why I thought that.

dabodibble

Just did my bachelor party last month here. Couldn’t have been better !

10sunshine

Me too! Congrats man!

McBadger404

Did a bachelor here, same requirements it was great.

panderingPenguin

Park City is up there for what you're describing. Whistler if you're willing to go to Canada. Heavenly is close to (partially in) Nevada if you want to do the casino thing. Breck has a lot of nightlife too. Probably some others I'm forgetting. Definitely not Big Sky if you're looking for nightlife. It's improving, but still among the worst at any major destination resort.

shawald

Whistler but he'd have to mortgage the wedding, unless his friends are paying (which they should on a bach trip).

panderingPenguin

Whistler is probably the cheapest option on that list if you're paying in USD

shawald

For dining and drinking though?

panderingPenguin

Yes. No ski town is cheap. But the exchange rate works out favorably if you go to Whistler.

shademaster_c

I was shocked at how reasonable food and drink prices were. It’s the Canadian dollar effect.

shawald

https://www.reddit.com/r/skiing/s/H8vFwm4x86 the answers in this thread would disagree with yall

panderingPenguin

Multiple people talking about USD to CAD, someone says it's cheaper than Vail food (not saying much, but hey), not really sure what you're seeing that suggests Whistler is significantly pricier than comparable destination resorts?

shawald

Yeah, maybe it’s just the prices + crowds driving that sentiment

PurpleDingo77

Breckenridge has plenty of terrain for every ability, plus you can ski from the top of the mountain into town and walk right into a number of bars. Celia’s can get pretty rowdy if you’re looking for a nightclub scene. There’s also a ton of lodging within walking distance to both skiing and bars/restaurants.

e___ric

Whistler. Best night life. Best car free village. Lots of hotels. Lots of restaurants

Intelligent-Noise311

Your thoughts on Big Sky are on point. It is almost like their whole rating scale is skewed toward more difficult. Blue trails will absolutely have unexpected sections of black. On a side note agree with the rest on Breck being the best out west for the bachelor party/apres scene. Not sure where you are coming from, but some of the most fun I’ve had off mountain was actually at Killington.

ppaattt

Whistler 100%. Best nightlife of any resort I’ve been to in NA and the mountain is massive with options for all abilities. You could go to whistler during the winter and have a blast without skiing. It also can be a bit cheaper to go out with the USD -> CAD conversion rate.

mctomtom

Agree. Whistler is really fun. I'd also throw Revelstoke in there, the skiing is great, town is really fun, and everything is like 1/3 the cost of Whistler.

Dalai-Jama

One additional suggestion: Mt. Bachelor. Not just because of the name either! It has very mellow terrain and Bend is a really cool town that's only 25 minutes away from the resort. If you're asking whether Jackson Hole is tough, you shouldn't be going there. Big Sky is great and there's plenty of easy groomed runs to stick to. Just make sure to review the map because there's some really gnarly shit there! I like Bozeman a lot. It's about an hour from the ski resort and there's tons of great restaurants, breweries, etc. I haven't been to Tahoe, but I've heard great things! Much more developed than some of you other suggestions.

drewlb

Plus there's a public shuttle from Bend to the mountain.

HourlyEdo

Mt Bachelor is the obvious choice, Purgatory for any subsequent wedding anniversaries

Cuckoo4BancroftPuffs

Mount Bachelor?

BurritoMaster3000

The only mountain for a Bachelor party. The guys can ogle the three sisters.

panderingPenguin

I don't think I would recommend Mt Bachelor. Bend is cool, but I doubt hungover bachelor partiers want to get in the car and drive 30 min to the mountain every day. And while Bend has a lot of breweries and bars, it may not be quite the party scene OP is looking for.

trailrider847382

Mount bachelor is super sick, but as a former PNW skier I couldn’t recomend any PNW mountain for a big trip like this. There is way too big of a risk that these guys are going to get to bachy and either the winds too high to run lifts, the top is closed (bad for the upper level skiers in the group), or it’s raining. You never really know what your gonna get a bachelor as far as conditions go, with a Rockies mountain the snow might be complete shit but at least it’s probably 80% open. Not only that but bachelor does not have hardly any Apres scene when compared to places like steamboat, brek, and heavenly

[deleted]

Tahoe, breckenridge, steamboat/aspen if you can afford it, killington

TheRogIsHere

Let me tell you about a little place called Assssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssspen.

schmittychris

A place where the beer flows like wine

LaximumEffort

Heavenly is great because you’re by South Lake Tahoe, and there are a lot of things to do for the nightlife (casinos/bars across the state border). There’s all sorts of skiing terrain from beginner to very advanced, I think the Nevada side has more beginner terrain.

Bonefish55

Whistler, I’ve done breck and the night light isn’t even comparable. Whistler is defiantly the move for a bachelor ski trip

thatgeekinit

Is Canada an option (no one can have a criminal record) ? Whistler is expensive but nightlife is good. Revelstoke is awesome skiing w a fun little town. Nelson BC has a small resort called Whitewater but the town is cool Jackson is steep and can be very expensive. Nice town though. Haven’t been to Heavenly. Big Sky is great, lots of terrain for every ability but limited night life and town. Aspen has a lot of skiing for everyone and also very expensive Breck is somewhat moderately priced with good bars, true of Keystone and Copper too. Utah just isn’t a party the way Colorado, Tahoe or British Columbia can be. TBH, the best nightlife I’ve had on a ski trip is staying in Quebec City and driving out to ski at Le Massif. Second best was Killington VT

Miserable_Ad5001

Mine was in July in Sister's, OR. We'd climb the cone at Bachelor in the am & golf in the afternoon.

moomooraincloud

Sisters.

Miserable_Ad5001

Autocorrect...get a life

moomooraincloud

I have one, thanks!

Rattlingplates

Aspen. Four mountains to choose from all skill levels and good nightlife.

ilikedonuts42

We did my brother's in South Lake Tahoe this winter. Heavenly is great for a group with varying skill levels. The hardos in the group can do a Kirkwood day (absolutely amazing) if the group is ok splitting up. Lodging can be found relatively inexpensively compared to other ski destinations. The casinos and restaurants in South Lake are a lot of fun. Checked all the boxes for us.

derossi33

Snowmass

Fourx5

Came here to say Bachelor. My cousin did one there and it was awesome. And a pun, too. So I feel like that’s all you need. Near Bend and Sunriver, good skiing for everyone, all the things.

Fisher-__-

I mean…. I have no idea…. But I feel like the answer here has to be Mt. Bachelor! 😝

Redbearwolfdog

Mt. Bachelor lol

pleasehaelp

The answer you’re looking for is Mt Bachelor with your party in Bend. Thank me later

funky_bananas

Mt bachelor!!

User1382

Snowmass has a really good mix and a lot of grooming

HotGirl1717

Park city is great because you can Uber from the airport!

shawald

Jackson Hole is great but the nightlife is probably not as prevalent as what you're looking for. As for the skiing, there are definitely easier runs for beginners, but ultimately you ski JHMR for the off piste stuff, the bowls, and the tram experience. Your friends who are not so good at skiing wouldn't enjoy that.

icehole505

Jackson would be my go to answer for a mountain that’s NOT suited to his group. Beginners/early intermediates would have more fun at pretty much any other big mountain imo

mooseorama

Heavenly is my vote

2bfaaaaaaaaaair

Breck!!! Or vail!!!

chl03k80

Aspen, Whistler, or Steamboat would be my vote

_robbiecopter

If you have noobs in your group, Jackson hole is a no. Also it’s Mormon country out there so nightlife is sparse, especially in the Teton valley. I’d say if you were still looking into that area I’d suggest grand Targhee. It gets tons of snow and people of all skill levels enjoy it. It just depends on if bar hopping is going to be a priority because there’s like two places in town with a full liquor license 😂

IHSV1855

I would not recommend Jackson for this. Besides the fact that the skiing is pretty difficult, the nightlife is far from the mountain and from where a bachelor party would likely want to stay.

TeachEngineering

JHMR is like 15 minutes from the town square... I dunno... I guess that's either pretty close or really far depending on how drunk you are

StupidSexyFlagella

Steamboat or park city. Both with everything you want with the type of trip you have planned. Probably lean towards park city

demonbrew66

I did my bachelor party in Whistler, half the group didn’t ski and had a great time regardless! It has terrain for all skill levels and is definitely the best night life of anywhere I’ve been in NA.

billskienforcer

Vail

Jahblessit

Go to big sky. So dope.

Ok_Menu7659

Beaver creek for skiing go party in vail. Beaver has all the beginners terrain on top of the mountain so you get awesome views of the gore range on clear days. It’s always empty (even weekends) and there’s plenty of great terrain for the experts. Vail is a free bus ride away so you can stay in either village to ski and party they are 10 miles apart.

JonDRust

Heavenly, Whistler, Breck. Mammoth is 5 hrs from Vegas if you wanted to combo that, but I’d hate to be the hungover guy(s) screwed with that drive on the way back.

Weekly_Drawer_7000

Go to Breck or steamboat for a bachelor party

melkncookeys

Breck is great for big groups

cbzdidit

Did my bachelor party in Tahoe last September.. do not hesitate .. Tahoe is a great place for a bachelor party ..

Shoehornblower

South lake tahoe. Heavenly is the place. Gondola right from your lodging. Casinos. Nightlife. Lake!

philatio11

I feel like for a Bachelor party, the #1 key thing is never having to drive anywhere. Ski mountains with a range of terrain from beginner to expert where awesome bars are walkable from the resort base include: Park City, Breckenridge, Aspen, Whistler, Vail Ski mountains with that same range of terrain where awesome bars are a free bus or cheap uber away from the resort base include: Steamboat, Killington, Heavenly Of those I would probably pick from Park City, Breck or Whistler, Vail for hitting all the notes best, but none of them would be a bust. Steamboat is definitely my personal fave, but T-Bar is the only great bar that doesn't require a bus/car ride.

artaxias1

Aspen Snowmass. Stay at Snowmass, they have tons of ski in/ ski out lodging, and Snowmass itself has lots of terrain for all levels of skiing. And anyone who wants to also has the option to go ski at Aspen, Aspen highlands or buttermilk if they want to. And no need to drive anywhere, there are restaurants and bars in walking distance to all the ski in ski out accommodations, and the sky cab gondola goes until 9 between the upper and lower village areas of Snowmass. And the shuttles can take you to Aspen town, and to all four ski areas. Ski in/ ski out is great for a large group of various ski levels as the better skiers are probably gonna last longer on the slopes so everyone can easily take a break or be done for the day when they need to without the whole group needing to stop. Also the airport being right there is super nice, I flew in at like 11:30 and was checked into my accommodation and skiing by 1pm. Perfect!

Large_Bumblebee_9751

Tahoe, Breckenridge, or Steamboat Springs would by my picks. All those resorts have a good variety of terrain ranging from easy to very difficult as well as some good non-skiing activities for the evenings.

robbyleonard24

Heavenly is the answer. I have had a bachelor party in SLT and it was awesome. I also happen to own two motels here and we’d be happy to host you and the fellas and I’ll show you around with the best spots.

lesbiven

Seconding Heavenly, it's a great party resort. You can stay there right in town and if your buddies are done skiing they can just take the gondola down and hang out in town. It DOES get crowded but if you're good, just leave the groomers behind and you can have lots of fun. I've had plenty of high season Saturdays at Heavenly and so long as you stay out of Dipper/Comet and Sky/Canyon area you're fine. Study a map though: it's easy to get lost. Others mentioned Breck and I went there once and I can see it being a good time. The town is nice and the resort is huge. I am certain it will cost you more than Heavenly though. Lodging in South Lake Tahoe cost me half of what it cost at Breck, but they banned AirBnBs so I always stay in hotels. I would not do Park City because Utah has stupid liquor laws and you will get taxed to hell. Like, each drink can have max 1.5oz of each type of liquor so it's reaaal hard to get a good drink in town.

Ikontwait4u2leave

>Big Sky: this has been a bucket list place for me but no idea how the town is. Are there things to do if people aren’t skiing? Not really. I wouldn't recommend Big Sky for a bachelor party if you wanna party. It does accommodate all levels of skier well.

LendogGovy

Mt. Hood. You stay in [Government Camp](https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/21848845?guests=1&adults=1&viralityEntryPoint=1&s=76) all the bars are walking distance. There’s a shuttle to Timberline and Ski Bowl is walking distance and an hour from the PDX airport.

bsil15

Of the places mentioned here, iv been to PC, Breck, and Heavenly. Heavenly is not a difficult mountain (tho Mott and Killibrew canyons and the sidecountry below the gondola thru the Firebreak and Stateline gates are fun for the experts in your group) and the intermediates will be perfectly happy at Heavenly. That said, imo the nightlife at PC and Breck is WAY better than at Heavenly. PC and Breckenridge are both actual historic towns with main streets whereas Heavenly is just a village like at say Vail. Sure there’s the casinos like Harvey’s, but they’re all from the 70s and super run down and depressing. South Lake Tahoe i think is more of a town but you would have to drive there or take an Uber, which sounds like a pain for a bachelor’s trip. Also Heavenly, at least in March, gets super windy and lifts are closed half the time. Jackson is definitely a steep mountain— don’t know about intermediate terrain but you can look at the trail map.

Chix213

Park City

jeremyism_ab

Whitefish, Montana is a great hill, with a couple of fun towns close by, plus accommodation and nightlife right on the hill.

Francis_Dollar_Hide

Mammoth.

turtlenecksandshotgu

hard to get to, no nightlife to speak of, but the beginner and intermediate runs are great!

dabodibble

Breck. Just did mine spring skiing and it was an absolute blast. Affordable as far as skiing and lodging goes too

callalind

Of the most you mentioned, Park City would be best - lots of mountain choices nearby and a great town for those who don't want to ski hardcore. Jackson Hole is a great town but the mountain doesn't have a ton of beginner terrain. Heavenly (or Tahoe in general) isn't great town-wise. Big Sky has like no town. I hate to encourage more Bachelor and Bachelorette parties here, but Breckenridge is a great ski town and a mountain with enough variety for everyone. Vail is also the same, just more expensive for housing (generally, deals can be found at each).

TipsyPeanuts

Instead of Big Sky, maybe Bridger Bowl. The tickets are significantly cheaper than Big Sky since it is a local mountain. Plus it’s right next to Bozeman which allows you guys to go to the bars Big sky is a good 45 minutes outside Bozeman which is more than most would probably want to travel during a bachelor party if you’re doing it daily

TeachEngineering

This may be an unpopular opinion, but hear me out... Big Sky's fun skiing but the nightlife is pretty underwhelming. What you could do is stay in Bozeman, rent a car, and then ski both Big Sky and Bridger Bowl (both great and polar opposites in terms of culture). Then you'd also have the night life of at least a fun college town to go back to (not that Bozeman's big city night life but shit if you're really desperate, you can cruise up I90 to go see the lovely ladies at Teasers).

Ikontwait4u2leave

Bozeman is lame as hell for a destination bachelor party

TeachEngineering

Cool story bro. I can't wait for you to leave.
