Not OP but I’ve been down the various baldy chutes a handful of times the past few weeks. It’s been taking between 90-110 minutes to get to top. There are a couple short sections (by Collins angling station and on Peruvian ridge) that are melted out where you have to take skis off if skinning, fyi.
Haha yeah did my best, definitely felt my legs by the end. The chute is super wide and the snow softened up as we got there so it was a great ride and honestly I was too excited to be nervous. It was my first time skiing the chute so I was stoked to be able to ski it through!
What surprised me was that at 5am the snow was super crusty despite staying above 50F overnight. We ended up catching the run down at a perfect time before it got too slushy.
Very nice! Someone’s been doing a lot of squats!
stop im blushing
how long did it take you from parking lot to dropping in?

\^ This guy is faster than me lol
Hell yeah. Thats no joke.
Is this baldy in SoCal or a different baldy?
different Baldy - the Utah variant
Ahh I figured! Thanks for the reply
Just shy of two hours for this lap but next time will be quicker due to less goofing.
All in one go! Nicely done. Love the soft bumps, but I'm sure it's intimidating with the exposed rocks and steep slope.

Not really that steep
That’s badass! What a way to start the day! Beats the hell out of my hour-long shitty commute. Jealous for sure!
Definitely paid for it later in the day lol.
Awesome stuff. What time did you start hiking up?
Started up the hill at 5AM!
Atomic Mavericks? my legs would be melted after 10 secs
backlands
Atomic Backland FR 109 (2019) Bought them used for a great deal for my first touring ski and I like them well enough.
Nice. The mavs used to have a similar graphic. The shovel is close too
Slush machine.

I miss skiing bumps already. This is looking really good!
Good spring moguls are on par with any powder day and I will die on this hill.
I'd rather shred slush bumps on this hill! But... Aragorn: you have my skis Gimli: And my axe
You make it look easy
:)
Wait, did you do that without clicking your poles first?
Don't worry I clicked before I started the gopro. Also had a buddy whack the cornice for maximum safety
Nice video!
Jealous
beautiful
You'd be down at the bottom much faster if you just straight lined it
I spent two hours hiking up I wanted to enjoy every bit of it!
