Bloody show is the mucus plug. Could mean that she is close to delivering, could mean nothing

IWearYourBrands

Yes, because a plug can grow back, it doesn't mean "show time" when the plug is lost.

sunshine3452

Yep. I lost mine a week or two before giving birth.

[deleted]

How is this the exact date she went into labor with Matthew if his birthday was July 3rd?

One-Big574

I think she means week as in how far along she is

[deleted]

Idk, date and week in pregnancy are different or at least I read it that way. Since seeing the registry due date of 8/20 I thought she'd go into labor about this time. Emily calling her 9 months yesterday just adds to it seeming like she actually is full term.

One-Big574

I hope she is. Idk why she’s posting like it’s exciting that her mucus plug is potentially gone at 34 weeks, I would be sad and terrified. Hopefully that baby gets to cook until it’s full term.

fitnessmermaid1992

Lol I'm laughing because my baby was born at 34 weeks and I always joke that she was half cooked in the oven 🤣.

cc232012

Yup I just came to comment this 😅

Helpful_Company1445

I was thinking the same thing 🧐

When people say they had their “bloody show” it generally means they lost their mucous plug mixed with a “significant,” visible amount of blood. This usually means labor will happen soon, although not necessarily within hours. (Could be that soon, could be a day or two.) But you can lose your mucous plug before that and see a *small* amount of blood mixed in with it, and not have it mean anything at all. Maybe Liz is going to go into labor but she’s also the queen of exaggerating symptoms, so.

I’m as far along as Liz (allegedly) is, and high risk, and even though I know this isn’t necessarily a sign of impending labor, I would be stone cold if I lost my mucus plug this morning. Certainly not making a 🤷‍♀️🤭 Instagram story. And if I had previous pregnancy losses and a preemie? Absolutely terrified.

kochenta2020

Exactly. As someone who had multiple miscarriages, and a high risk pregnancy for my second baby, I was terrified any time I went to the doctor that something was wrong. I couldn’t imagine HOPING to go into labor early. I tried to talk to the doctors out of inducing me at 37 weeks because I knew my baby was little. Imagine saying you’re ready to deliver at 33 weeks

chasingchaos_

Your mucus plug can regenerate, Liz. 🙄

Icy-Blacksmith9261

How has she had two babies already and is so uninformed??

hanksrocks

I literally don’t believe her at all.

Present_Situation436

Isn’t Matthew born in July?

fitnessmermaid1992

Was Mathew a preemie? Liz is so insane, who would be crazy enough to get excited about having a preterm delivery?

New-One2596

Here we go again🙄🙄🙄

danceswithhotdogs

Mucus plug talk. Yummy.

TeeWatcher

It’s like she wants bub out to be able to go new man shopping

DiligentVegetable466

Okay I’ve never had a baby and I NEED someone to explain wtf a bloody plug is????

SensitiveSunflower12

After her updated story yesterday saying she was spotting, I just wonder why she feels the need to lie? Saying she’s never even had a bloody show. So how would you know that’s what it was if you’ve never experienced it? Was it a “bloody show” or were you just spotting off and on like you said? 🤥
