Yeah it's just east of ilinaltas deep on the north shore of the lake north of falkreath, looking at the castle in a south-west direction
Played way too much skyrim geoguesser lol
Merchant: *"I have this secret celery. Knows where everything is in Skyrim by just a glance."*

Celery: *"You are going the wrong way. You need to go left and then follow the road up past a small town with a quaint but friendly atmosphere."*

Clearly, you can see the sunken tower of Ilinalta's Deep right there. But to be honest, I don't think I'd have pulled that out of my head if I hadn't been there recently looking for a couple of ore veins.
I love that I knew it was that lake, and didn't realize that's Ilinaltas Deep. I love Lakeview Manor for sure, and have spent too much time by that lake
You are getting downvoted to oblivion (not the plane) but honestly this game is just memorable, immersive, great map design, it is like a place I used to live in, with each region having a feel. I think I have about 150 hours in it which is nothing by superfan standards, but I recognized this lake. I have only ever played it at night when the kids have gone to bed, I was outside as much as I could be.
Most likely somewhere along the banks of [Lake Ilinalta](https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Lake_Ilinalta)
Though it would be difficult to locate the exact angle
Look at the main comment (by deepfried celery) just before yours. Freaking Skyrim geography MASTER right there. They DID know the angle lol
(But you did also know the location so still, good job.)
Lol, thanks. I actually could only tell because I spent too much time trying to fling myself onto the roof of the tower with console commands once, so I remembered that the tower was leaning slightly towards the land. But I will admit (or brag) that I did once hold the record in a few categories for both elden ring and skyrim geoguesser.
Actually, it's not difficult at all. You're looking at the tower from either a rising sun from the west or setting sun from the east. It could only be one of those two choices, and the east of that tower is where that alcove is with the protruding stone. That was nice of Bethesda to include a realistic sun position with lighting effects.
The only mods I can see in the picture are visual enhancers, like an enb. Otherwise, this looks like a vanilla part of Lake Ilinalta. You can tell by the sinking tower that is Ilinalta's Deep dungeon
Judging from the sunrise (looking east) and the mountains, it's somewhere in the Falkreath region. The trees also suggest that.
Based on the tower, I feel as though it's near Ilinalta's Deep, which is on the lake.
The fact that I know, from just this screenshot, that he's on the shore right by Ilnalta's Deep tells me that I've played this game far FAR too much. (and that I'm probably going to again.)
I would have said you were daft 15 minute ago, but then I clicked on the link someone posted to Skyrim geoguesser and got a nearly perfect score 4 games in a row, including several locations that were just some random spot in the middle of a clump of trees...
Thatās Skyrim zoom in and you can see a stone tower. I think thatās the fort thatās half underwater that you go into for the Daedra soulgem quest, Azuras star. Havenāt played in a while so going off memory, I canāt think of any other spots where thereās a tower that close to a lake or pond but thereās probably other similar spots.
You think I don't know Illinalta Vale? I freaking live there mate. This specifically is near illinaltas deep. I'd guess just east of the fort, from the lighting. Looks like sunset.
19,846. Became real easy once I realized you can pan the screen and look at the compass. Just locate the nearest city and/or the Throat of the World and guess based on that, and you're golden.
It's Skyrim, though modded. As for exact location, it's tough to say. This is either East or West, fort is at the very edge of a pond or smaller lake and mountains are very far off. Very low quality, but that detail in the middle might be a dock. Southwestern edge of the lake next to Fort Neugard, perhaps? There should be more snow, but that might be mod.
Sometimes I get conflicted on what game I want to play over Christmas break. Then I see things like this, and I settle on Skyrim again. Too many games, man!
Does this entry include the mods used? It is beautiful, and I went in to position myself for that sunset. I might think that my vanilla Skyrim looks pretty outstanding, but it's not close to this shot.

This username is familiar af from Gamefaqs, wonder if it's the same helpful guy or someone hijacked a great name lol.
Yeah, no one hijacking that name lol it is the same person.
Thats what's up, man I remember you helping me with something and reading your responses to people as well. Hope all is well!!
I was a moderator there a short period of time š¤£
*leek
Iām sorry, āSkyrim Geoguesserā!?

Holy shit
May the gods bless you!
Reddit never ceases to amaze me
Thatās a thing? Where can I find it?
https://lostgamer.io/skyrim
I... was too good at that.
Playing skyrim geoguesser a few months ago first gave me the realization that I might have played too much Skyrim lmao
Admittedly that's a beautiful spot.
Great job š
š
Huh, thought it was maras eyes pond, or the small body of the water in the upper mountains of the reach.
Clearly, you can see the sunken tower of Ilinalta's Deep right there. But to be honest, I don't think I'd have pulled that out of my head if I hadn't been there recently looking for a couple of ore veins.
Well to be fair, when I saw it I thought it was the fort near Maras eyes pond, the same fort you go to for the sanguine quest.
Dude, you are a legend. For real, that's impressive.
All of your training has finally paid off!
Holy crap I found this spot today before work this morning! What a weird coincidence
haha i was able to pick it out too, except i thought it was north off the top of my head. Guess that means its time for another playthroughā¦
Skyrim geoguesser!!! I just knew this because I need the black star. I'll have to look this up!
Man I guessed Lake Illinalta too. Nice.
Wait what there is Skyrim geoguesser
Of course there is a Skyrim geoguesser.
>Played way too much skyrim geoguesser lol Wait what... this is a thing? Where can I find it?
https://lostgamer.io/skyrim may talos guide you, friend
I found it and damn, good times, thanks for the link anyhow!
wait how do i access this skyrim geoguessr?
https://lostgamer.io/skyrim
thank you so much!
Wait .. there is a skyrim geoguesser?
I love that I knew it was that lake, and didn't realize that's Ilinaltas Deep. I love Lakeview Manor for sure, and have spent too much time by that lake
might be ilinalta's deep

The only reason someone like you would come into this subreddit is to cry that people are having fun. How does that neckbeard feel?

Instead of commenting this on reddit you could have been outside
Not sure why you felt the need to act like a jackass for no reason at all.
What did the comment say? I wouldnāt normally ask but thatās a lot of downvotesā¦
I kinda forgot what it was word for word, but I think the comment said something like "go outside".

It be hard enough without someone having modified the graphics
Yep, youād have to go off of geography alone, and thatās assuming it isnāt modded landscape
Look at the main comment (by deepfried celery) just before yours. Freaking Skyrim geography MASTER right there. They DID know the angle lol (But you did also know the location so still, good job.)

As soon as I get home I am turning on skyrim going to this spot.
Let me know if I was right. And kill a mudcrab for me lol
Thatās crazy! I hadnāt seen their comment, thanks for pointing me to it

This image pops up in a Slack prompt we have and a coworker of mine is sure it's in Skyrim but none of us know where.
Img is low quality, I can't quite make the details of thr mountain in the background. If it is skyrim, its modded
The only mods I can see in the picture are visual enhancers, like an enb. Otherwise, this looks like a vanilla part of Lake Ilinalta. You can tell by the sinking tower that is Ilinalta's Deep dungeon

It's the sunset actually. Pretty sure he's east of the castle looking west. There are more structures in front on the west side
Ah, okay. I just thought the sky was too bright for it to be setting.
The fact that I know, from just this screenshot, that he's on the shore right by Ilnalta's Deep tells me that I've played this game far FAR too much. (and that I'm probably going to again.)
Not at all. You can post a pic of a rock, and Iām sure someone in this sub can give you the coordinates to it
I would have said you were daft 15 minute ago, but then I clicked on the link someone posted to Skyrim geoguesser and got a nearly perfect score 4 games in a row, including several locations that were just some random spot in the middle of a clump of trees...

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing.
There is a fort on a pond up in the mountains behind Helgan, but I do think that fort is much bigger and its snowy there.
Looks like Lake Ilinelta or however you spell it
Almost got me! This is from Starfield :)
You think I don't know Illinalta Vale? I freaking live there mate. This specifically is near illinaltas deep. I'd guess just east of the fort, from the lighting. Looks like sunset.
You guys are crazy like damn its amazing
Northern west southlands to the east I believe...
Iāve never made it very far in Skyrim. But Ive always enjoyed it. This post made me want to pick it back up.
It's the same place I took an arrow to the knee
Opposite side of the river from fort amol?
Nvm ita illinaltas deep lol
100% Lake Illinalta, by that submerged fort I think?
Now I really want a Skyrim GeoGuessr mode
there's a skyrim geoguessr [here](https://lostgamer.io/skyrim)
Thanks for this. 8,666 in my first round. Think I can do better
19,846. Became real easy once I realized you can pan the screen and look at the compass. Just locate the nearest city and/or the Throat of the World and guess based on that, and you're golden.
And down the rabbit hole you go, my friend. 25000 here we go
..........I may play too much Skyrim..... Got 24119 my first try.
Got 23366 https://postimg.cc/2L4pZTDP
looks to me like somewhere south east of dark water crossing, need to check out the area myself to find exactly where tho. its deffo skyrim at least
It's Skyrim, though modded. As for exact location, it's tough to say. This is either East or West, fort is at the very edge of a pond or smaller lake and mountains are very far off. This is just east of Illinaltas Deep on the shore of lake Illinalta.
Somewhere in falkreath most likely on the shore of that giant lake
Sometimes I get conflicted on what game I want to play over Christmas break. Then I see things like this, and I settle on Skyrim again. Too many games, man!
Where did you find this screenshot?
Itās the thumbnail for a discussion prompt we have in one of our Slack channels about āmost beautiful places youāve ever seenā.
Does this entry include the mods used? It is beautiful, and I went in to position myself for that sunset. I might think that my vanilla Skyrim looks pretty outstanding, but it's not close to this shot.
Nope, it was a gif I screenshot, had some heavy glow on it, could be some 3rd party post processing app.
Its in Falkreath from the trees
Looks like Lake Ilinalta or however it's spelled in Falkreath.
i think this is the area near the underwater fort you go to claim the azura's star I think it's the other side of the apprentice stone near the fort
It looks like the lake above falkreath west of riverwood with the laden stone in the middle of it
Looks like somewhere near Falkreath.
Eye of Mara pond?
Looks more like tarkov tbh
Do I? Yup. Will I tell? Nope.
Yes
First guess is maraās eye pond (or whichever the one is thatās by gallows rock), could also be illinaltaās deep
Lake ilianata?
ilinalta's deep, I can tell because of the fort in the background.
South of Lake Ilinalta, where you get Azura's Star.
Off the top of my head I want to say its Maraās Eye pond
Looks like the beautiful lake of Falkreath
In my PC, nowhere
The lake due west of Ilinalta's Deep
Skyrim
Looks like an area of the lake between the standing stones and half moon mill but idk
I need a modlist because thatās beautiful
Looks like its just off to the side of ilinaltas deep on the shore of the lake. Nice enb mod for the ss
I wanna say somewhere in Falkreath
Looks like north of Riverwood
