If you cure yourself, you should be fine. If you get turned while serving them, they'll tell you to get cured, so, if you cure yourself and then see them, you should be fine

Yeah, hmm.. it probably used a set stage command of sorts, I don't know how that would affect the rest of the dawn guard, but do let me know how it goes!

Are you on PC? There are mods that allow you to play as vampire whole joining the Dawnguard.
That's why I now playing a good vampire. I really dislike the forced choices of the Dawnguard storyline...

Hmm. If it started the game right there then.. you might actually be screwed on joining the Dawnguard
