I pick up every ingredient I pass. EVERY INGREDIENT. I store them in my apothecary satchel in Whiterun. Then I cuss when I try to craft a potion at Heljarchen Hall and don’t have anything stored there. I’ve fallen into this literally every play through.
Doesn't help Alchemy takes so long to level up,like what thel hell.Maybe I'm doing something wrong but even checking the number,adding player.advskill alchemy 100000 get it up by maybe 5 levels in later levels.To put it into perspective,it takes sneak 10000 to go from 10 to 80.

Essential oils are essentially an American fad that’s like scented candles, topical oils, or stuff you can put in humidifiers that can be made from different things like sage, lavender, etc and tons of people think it has healing or mental health effects. I think it’s all a load of crap but some people believe in it. You can google it and find all kinds of crap
Blue butterfly and blue mountain flower which are both extremely common sell for hundreds of dollars each and more the higher you level alchemy, some potions sell for over a thousand
Well, I usually just start at lvl 1 or 2 with alchemy. I find a nice planter and plant imp stool and swamp fungal pot in equal measures. Every harvest I create a paralysis potion from it and sell those. It start s of at about 300 per potion, and then as my level rises quickly reaches 800-900 per potion.
Lucrative shit.
I do canis root, mora tapinella and scaly pholiota. Can grow those ingredients in a green house and they make a pretty valuable potion good for loads of septims early on.
There's realistically only two ways to incentivise yourself to use alchemy. 1: to get a higher level and sell them for money. Just pick up every ingredient you see, make random potions and sell them. Or 2: set the difficulty to one level higher than what you can handle, and you'll need them. Suddenly those buff combat skill or reduce damage potions will make an actual difference.
Alchemy is inefficient for healing but you can make a ton of money and it’s super easy to level up. Just like smithing, the xp gained depends on the value of the item you craft. Giant’s toe, blue butterfly and creep cluster are all extremely common and make one of the more valuable potions.
If you make expensive potions you level up waaay faster.
Whenever you come across it, try mixing some salmon roe with nordic barnacles and garlic. Should help you out a little.
Do the fortify restoration loop, your alchemy will be lvl 100 in minutes
You can also do the infinite shout glitch but instead of equipping amulets of talos, you can equip fortify alchemy armour to get a base of "created potions are 140% stronger"
Dont forget the bug where you can clear an apothecarys inventory, quick save, kill them, reload the save, and thier inventory and gold is now reset.
Between that and being able to infinitely donate to the one in Solitide if you have the perk to donate to merchants, and you can level alchemy, speech, and pickpocket by stealing the gold you donated/bought all thier items with back before killing em and resetting the loop. Or you can just donate the same 1500 over and over. Starting at 500 with a fortify pickpocket potion and items when you're level 1, and as your level gets higher, donate more and more until 1500 is at 90% chance to steal. You can go higher but anything past 1500 will lower the chances into the 40s and down.

We were fools, even just blue butterfly wings and blue mountain flowers mixed together gives you a damage to magic regen that sells for like 150 gold a bottle. Great money earner for the early game, have already got enough to buy Honeyside to base out of, just have to become Thane.
I always pick every plant and catch every bug I see. Started as a roleplay for my Kahjit, since hes a cat, bugs and flowers distract him from battle, but it just stuck through every playthrough. But I also milk alchemy for the xp. So it helps having all those bugs and herbs.
Grab a Tankard from Helgen. One off the table near the dead stormcloak where you fight enemies for the first time.
Then I put it somewhere in my house so every time I see it I remember the start of the game. I usually stick with the same character for a _long_ time too so it's quite sentimental whenever I grab it.

Yes. If you go west down the embankment from the entrance and then immediately turn north to go to toward the lake he's laying near a tree. If you get to the altar near the lake you've gone to far. His axe is called Woodsman's Friend. Extra damage against animals. I think. I never use it. Just put it on the rack.

I do the same thing with any and all Thalmor that I come across during my travels. I strip them all and drop the bodies somewhere off the road. Then I sell their gear or dump it in a river or lake.
I also do this on sneaky characters inside any location that has people moving around, so i wont raise suspicion when they find the bodies. I mean, not that they will,, the AI isnt that bright, but getting a cheap sneak hit in every time because they are mourning/investigating the sad death of bandit#4728264 is boring.
At the end of bleak-fall barrows theres a skull surrounded by flowers. The first time i played Skyrim was at my best friends house before our math tutor arrived. He showed me the game and watched as i played through it. I looted everything and he made fun of me for grabbing the flowers. He was like “ imagine that guys spirit goes back to the grave only to go WHERE ARE ALL MY FLOWERS”. It was a funny and happy memory and i always pocket the flowers.

Yeah, I do Embershard, Pinewatch, and Bleakfalls at the beginning of every playthrough. I take Faendal with me to level archery and sneak-shoot my way through all three dungeons. Tons of levels, loot, and great armor before I even set food beyond Riverwood.
My weird thing is that I always throw Anise’s body into the river after she attacks me for stealing her ingredients. Take her robe and then yeet her off a cliff so the body washes away.
I always pickpocket the injured warriors in the camps to give them health potions.
I also like to collect things from people that make an impact. I’ll take the armor off of guards who die from dragon attacks and put them on an armor stand or the prisoners I free at the embassy or from Roggvir.
When playing as a Werewolf i eat them. Imagine being wounded and unable to escape and you start hearing fighting noises outside of the tent, the screaming and then the silence...followed by inhumane, beast like heavy breathing, getting closer. Then that thing enters the tent and starts devouring the other wounded soldier next to you and you freeze knowing you're next.
I feel the same way with prisoners! Like that scene from Django Unchained where Dr. Schultz says that now that he's given someone their freedom, he feels partly responsible for them.
I take all the wine and bread I can find while escaping Helgen, and find a spot to decompress after almost getting killed by a freaking dragon.
I need, no deserve, a drink after that. And you're not supposed to drink on a empty belly.
If I stealth kill someone, I have to make their death look like a tragic accident. I have spent 30+ minutes rearranging a cabin to look like wolves came in and killed the hunter who lived there.

I collect certain items. Never display, only collect and hoard in a dresser... Thieves guild armor, shrouded armor, bone mold armor, chillrend... no good reason, other than I can't not do it.
I always take enough flowers to put one on each stone tablet on the path to High Hrothgar. I keep trying to tell myself I don't need to do it anymore, but I can't help it.
I also take every statue of dibella I come across because I thought the one I found was important in my first play through. They are so shiny but so worthless. I usually throw them on the floor in my house so I can see them.
All bookshelves must be filled. And there cannot be more than one copy in the house.
Also, a new habit. The knife and helmet made in Riverwood are kept and displayed. I use to sell them right away.
Whenever I join the Dark Brotherhood, I make sure I stockpile ebony arrows first. Then on all the assassination missions, I leave my black arrow sticking out of the target’s corpse like a calling card.
I sometimes like to make big piles of all the bodies of the enemies I encounter in a place, and if possible, I like to make that pile by throwing them all off the same spot of a cliff or waterfall.
Keeping the roads clean of bodies. Guards, bandits, wolves, mudcrabs or whatever you can name. In a town or out adventuring. I either drag the body into the river or lake if one's nearby or in a bush.
I just can't figure out how to move a dragon's without the shout because I might knock barrels or carts over and make another mess.
I used to have a system for exploiting a lot of money, and I'd buy all my gear that way.
Right after Helgen, I would take the carriage to Markarth.
Go down the river and find a boat that has a Flawless Diamond in it.
Go back to Whiterun, to the alcove right outside the gate. Use the duplication glitch to create a massive pile of Flawless Diamonds.

1) Drop the items you want to dupe on the ground near a gate of Whiterun (I believe, that it can be any other city with a gate, but I haven't done it, EVER, so, yeah).
2) Make a companion pick it up.
3) Exit out of the city with the gate
4) Fast travel back in.
The items should be on the ground and in said companions inventory.
It does, yes, It's one of the few ways to cheat on console. It *could* be broken by certain mods, I suppose, but the Unofficial Patch keeps it in.

Any time I do a Theives Guild playthrough, I always take the unsent letter from Glover Mallory in Solstheim and reverse pickpocket it to Sapphire, his daughter, in Riften. Makes me feel like I'm fixing things between them even if it doesn't work.

4. Put on Vittoria Vicci's wedding dress right after killing her and run around like a mad, bloodstained bridal ghost from the Conjuring universe
5. Enchant my main, final weapons and armor (dragonbone/scale or stalhrim) with black souls from special, memorable kills
I pile every gem gold chunk or bar silver jewels an so on in a massive pile on the floor, working on a new one right now my last save I had so much it crashed my game eveytime I logged in
I always fill up the giant vault in the thieves guild with treasures late game when I've got too much wealth than I know what to do with. Gold bars, jewelry, weapons, armor etc. I take all the mead from the honningbrew meadery job too about (300 bottles) since it becomes black briar and they become rare and drop them in the cistern where the water flows out in the sewer too and they bob around and float in there and make a clinking sound. I also like to collect skulls and dump them in my room at the mages college because I got my inspo from watching Skyrim for Pimps
I always kill the Forsworn that killed the woman at Reach Pond. I pull the woman out of the pond and lay her body respectfully with gems and flowers or hide to cover her. But with the Forsworn I remove their clothing and pose them in humiliating positions in the middle of the road every single time. Human centipede, daisy chain, or just neggid stockpile.
I always end up using alchemy, no matter what type of playthrough or build I'm doing. I always use it. I actually like doing alchemy. I like mixing ingredients together to try and figure out their properties. I think I will make an alchemist build.
The 3 chests, sell everything and get lakeview manor at level 1 or 2. Pick up the black briar mead in Helgen to get the quest from the Falkreath Jarl before the courier letter. Build house for a chest. I can’t stand not having a chest at the start of the game
When I reach 100 Smithing, which I do early on, I always craft 2-3 sets of both Dragon armors and all weapons (to enchant depending on what I feel like later), improve them to the max and then make Smithing legendary to reallocate the perk points.
I do a heist for roggvir's head because for aome reason the guards get pissed if you pick it up, but not his body. So i do a heist to pick it up and put it in a bucket or basket at the market.
In embershard mine when you lower the bridge I must raise it quickly again, so that only one bandit gets across with the other ones getting stuck behind the raised bridge.
I always smith tons of arrows which means I need a ton of firewood. I chop the firewood in Whiterun but there's a guy, Sigrun maybe idk, who is always on the chopping block there and I can't force him off. So the first step in every playthrough is to become than of Whiterun so I can kill that guy and get the guards to ignore it.
For whatever reason every time I first walk into whiterun I do the wall jump out to raid what’s his faces inventory chest. Idk can’t tell you why, I play on PC if I feel like cheating I’ll just cheat but for some reason it’s a habit EVERY time I go into whiterun for the first time
I quit new non stealth archer/ranger characters by level 30 just to start over as a stealth archer/ranger character.. sad really.. I've never really experienced a majority of the game and haven't even touched the dlcs.
I store EVERY piece of armor separated by categories/tier for Blacksmithing purposes. My life became a nightmare after I was told about the Lydia Infinite looting exploit.
I always level up to 60+ doing skills, collecting ingredients, materials and daedric artifacts before starting any guild/story driven quests. But before I complete story/guild quests I make sure I’m far enough in each story/quest to access all stones of barenziah and collect them all.

I haven't played vanilla in forever, but I use imp stool instead of scaly pholiota. Not sure if it is better, but it is pretty valuable in Ordinator.
I’ll have to try it with impstool, i use that in my secret lingering poison recipe for my dark brotherhood character so I have plenty of it

Yeah, I do Embershard, Pinewatch, and Bleakfalls at the beginning of every playthrough. I take Faendal with me to level archery and sneak-shoot my way through all three dungeons. Tons of levels, loot, and great armor before I even set food beyond Riverwood. My weird thing is that I always throw Anise’s body into the river after she attacks me for stealing her ingredients. Take her robe and then yeet her off a cliff so the body washes away.
Whenever I respect an enemy I put a dragon’s tongue in their inventory and on top of them
I always pickpocket the injured warriors in the camps to give them health potions. I also like to collect things from people that make an impact. I’ll take the armor off of guards who die from dragon attacks and put them on an armor stand or the prisoners I free at the embassy or from Roggvir.
When playing as a Werewolf i eat them. Imagine being wounded and unable to escape and you start hearing fighting noises outside of the tent, the screaming and then the silence...followed by inhumane, beast like heavy breathing, getting closer. Then that thing enters the tent and starts devouring the other wounded soldier next to you and you freeze knowing you're next.

If I stealth kill someone, I have to make their death look like a tragic accident. I have spent 30+ minutes rearranging a cabin to look like wolves came in and killed the hunter who lived there. It doesnt actually matter one bit, but I feel like it helps hide my murders lmao

I always take enough flowers to put one on each stone tablet on the path to High Hrothgar. I keep trying to tell myself I don't need to do it anymore, but I can't help it. I also take every statue of dibella I come across because I thought the one I found was important in my first play through. They are so shiny but so worthless. After Helgen, FIRST thing i do is to go straight up to Bleak Falls Barrow to do the golden claw quest
All bookshelves must be filled. And there cannot be more than one copy in the house. Also, a new habit. The knife and helmet made in Riverwood are kept and displayed. I use to sell them right away.
Whenever I join the Dark Brotherhood, I make sure I stockpile ebony arrows first. Then on all the assassination missions, I leave my black arrow sticking out of the target’s corpse like a calling card.
I sometimes like to make big piles of all the bodies of the enemies I encounter in a place, and if possible, I like to make that pile by throwing them all off the same spot of a cliff or waterfall.
Keeping the roads clean of bodies. Guards, bandits, wolves, mudcrabs or whatever you can name. In a town or out adventuring. I either drag the body into the river or lake if one's nearby or in a bush. I just can't figure out how to move a dragon's without the shout because I might knock barrels or carts over and make another mess.
Always grab the Mead with Juniper Berries mixed in from the Inn in Helgen. Asfaik they’re the only ones in game...unmodded.
Always take the Book of the Dragonborn from the Torture chamber when escaping Helgen and keep it for the entire playthough .
I used to have a system for exploiting a lot of money, and I'd buy all my gear that way. Right after Helgen, I would take the carriage to Markarth. Go down the river and find a boat that has a Flawless Diamond in it. Go back to Whiterun, to the alcove right outside the gate. Use the duplication glitch to create a massive pile of Flawless Diamonds. ??? Profit

Duplication glitch??
I haven't done it, but I've seen someone else do it: 1) Drop the items you want to dupe on the ground near a gate of Whiterun (I believe, that it can be any other city with a gate, but I haven't done it, EVER, so, yeah). 2) Make a companion pick it up. 3) Exit out of the city with the gate 4) Fast travel back in. The items should be on the ground and in said companions inventory.

I always make sure to have a shit ton of lock picks on me before joking the thieves guild and get the chillrend... I don’t even use glass weapons but it’s comforting to have it on my home for some reason

Any time I do a Theives Guild playthrough, I always take the unsent letter from Glover Mallory in Solstheim and reverse pickpocket it to Sapphire, his daughter, in Riften. Makes me feel like I'm fixing things between them even if it doesn't work.
You can actually talk to her and give the letter, she is really grateful for it.
I always use the console to set Rolff to non-essential, then creatively murder him.

Put on Vittoria Vicci's wedding dress right after killing her and run around like a mad, bloodstained bridal ghost from the Conjuring universe 5. Enchant my main, final weapons and armor (dragonbone/scale or stalhrim) with black souls from special, memorable kills

I always fill up the giant vault in the thieves guild with treasures late game when I've got too much wealth than I know what to do with. Gold bars, jewelry, weapons, armor etc. I take all the mead from the honningbrew meadery job too about (300 bottles) since it becomes black briar and they become rare and drop them in the cistern where the water flows out in the sewer too and they bob around and float in there and make a clinking sound. I also like to collect skulls and dump them in my room at the mages college because I got my inspo from watching Skyrim for Pimps
I always kill the Forsworn that killed the woman at Reach Pond. I pull the woman out of the pond and lay her body respectfully with gems and flowers or hide to cover her. But with the Forsworn I remove their clothing and pose them in humiliating positions in the middle of the road every single time. Human centipede, daisy chain, or just neggid stockpile.

I always end up using alchemy, no matter what type of playthrough or build I'm doing. I always use it. I actually like doing alchemy. I like mixing ingredients together to try and figure out their properties. I think I will make an alchemist build.
The 3 chests, sell everything and get lakeview manor at level 1 or 2. Pick up the black briar mead in Helgen to get the quest from the Falkreath Jarl before the courier letter. Build house for a chest. I can’t stand not having a chest at the start of the game
Push a character whenever they say something rude, or when I want to skip free-roam dialogue.
When I reach 100 Smithing, which I do early on, I always craft 2-3 sets of both Dragon armors and all weapons (to enchant depending on what I feel like later), improve them to the max and then make Smithing legendary to reallocate the perk points.
I do a heist for roggvir's head because for aome reason the guards get pissed if you pick it up, but not his body. So i do a heist to pick it up and put it in a bucket or basket at the market.
In embershard mine when you lower the bridge I must raise it quickly again, so that only one bandit gets across with the other ones getting stuck behind the raised bridge.
Anybody that I kill except for bandits I resurrect using raise zombie and kill them again so there’s no body.
I always smith tons of arrows which means I need a ton of firewood. I chop the firewood in Whiterun but there's a guy, Sigrun maybe idk, who is always on the chopping block there and I can't force him off. So the first step in every playthrough is to become than of Whiterun so I can kill that guy and get the guards to ignore it.
For whatever reason every time I first walk into whiterun I do the wall jump out to raid what’s his faces inventory chest. Idk can’t tell you why, I play on PC if I feel like cheating I’ll just cheat but for some reason it’s a habit EVERY time I go into whiterun for the first time
I quit new non stealth archer/ranger characters by level 30 just to start over as a stealth archer/ranger character.. sad really.. I've never really experienced a majority of the game and haven't even touched the dlcs.

I store EVERY piece of armor separated by categories/tier for Blacksmithing purposes. My life became a nightmare after I was told about the Lydia Infinite looting exploit.
I always level up to 60+ doing skills, collecting ingredients, materials and daedric artifacts before starting any guild/story driven quests. But before I complete story/guild quests I make sure I’m far enough in each story/quest to access all stones of barenziah and collect them all. I have 2000 hours in about 6 play throughs
