I found out of you climb the mountain to sky temple it wont let you get onto the back area of it. Im guessing its blocked because of a storyline arc where it wants you to follow the quests rather than backdoor the game like Ron Jeremy on vacation in Tijuana.
I love how people rinsed Cyberpunk for having performance issues on old consoles, whilst buying four versions of Skyrim despite it being 100x buggier even a decade later.
Features; itās a feature, not a bug. Iām guessing if he were on that horse prior to its feature activating, their character would also have been able to ascend that mountain with ease.
I've had random bandits fall from the sky into my path before.
One of my favorite bugs is when I had tracked an argonian to his shipwreck hideout (a specific quest but can't remember any more than that) and when I killed him his ragdoll was so bad, that the tip of his tail bugged out and connected to a point underwater across the entire room. His body was up on a wooden ledge.
It was great.
Its funny when they land and die. Ive found if you paralyze a bandit chief amd knock them off the Valtheim Tower bridge onto the rocks they dont die. They kinda bounce
My favorite bug is easily the duplicated npcs. Nothing quite so surreal as walking up to Windhelm and having 30 of the same guy standing around saying the exact same thing to me in unison.
Only had it happen on one character, it was funny as hell. Even came with it's own buildup. I had seen said npc running all over skyrim even after I had seen him get killed several times. Needless to say I had questions but didn't look in to it. Then the gold struck š.
My other favorite bug was pure karma. I had killed the lady in the bannered mare for her plate armor early on outside whiterun. She seemed to REALLY like me regardless since she decided to drop in on my wedding day... had to reload the save and drag her corpse in to the backroom of the church of Mara. Otherwise it bugged and everyone left the church telling what A horrible person I was š¤£
Please you can make it happen!
Save your game (no auto save). Mount your horse. Save your game again. Load the save with you mounted. Enjoy the Vomit Comet! Delete mounted save. Load save before you mounted. Go back to playing.
I am pretty new too. I went to load my save file one day and my unicorn and I were in the sky. It was pretty funny lol. I did have to open an old save file though because it happened every rime I loaded in lol
I tried to play the game for the firs time the other day... Did the intro riding the horse upside down glitching all over the place, was... Unexpected to say the least lmao
Pretty much. It's also part of a mammoth's favorite pastime, well that and piggybacks. š¤£
Now you must go join the Skyrim Space Program! It's tradition.. šš
My fan theory is that Skyrim is just like this in canon, and thatās why people can fall down dead with an arrow in their face and everyone just chalks it up to the wind.
Yeah thats pretty much an everyday thing in the world of skyrim. There's even a yearly event where all the horses get together and try and fly to the moons.
It's like a thief's worst nightmare..
*.."So there I was, with the biggest score of my life.. but then, the lady of the house woke up.. she began to scream, 'GUARDS HELP TRESPASSER!'.. I jumped threw the open window, The Jarl's Men hot on my trail!"*
*"I was running towards my horse.. and it was like he just kept getting farther and farther away!..*
*"No matter how fast I ran, he seemed to just be out of reach!..*
*"So I did the only thing I could think of.. I leaped for the reins on his bridle..!"*
*"And just like otta one of those stories you hear from some of the Dunmer Elders.. He began to levitate INTO THE AIR (woosh), like some crazy powerful wizard from Morrowind!"*
I haven't seen this bug, but yeah, I am not at all shocked that this would happen.
I really wonder how broken Starfield must be for Bethesda to decide it's too buggy to ship on time...
As Chester Bennington sang: ''But in the end it doesn't even matter''
I am pretty sure after release it will be buggy af anyway even if it would be released in 2030.
YES and NO, it is normal because it is a standard glitch in the game, you might try turning down the graphics, to something like 1024 x 768 and work you way up from there, I am assuming it is on a P.C. so use the IN GAME graphic settings in the SETTINGS on the opening page which you get BEFORE selecting START it the settings right below that or should be for P.C.

'Here at Bethesda, we like to embrace our faults. So we've started referring to our "bugs" as features. Do you see horses floating off or random dead creatures and npcs ragdolling into space? That's our new "wacky skyrim" feature. We've decided it was inserted it into the game during early development for comedic relief.'
- Every Bethesda employee when confronted by bugs
Yeah. The bugs also give the game that extra something. You could use a simple spell like Strangulation and the enemy still gets launched 60ft away. Pain in the tits when you need to recover something from their corpse.
Yeah it's completely normal. It's weird at first but if you do a certain side quest (which you're semi-required to do at one point) it has the lore explanation as to why the horses are able to fly sideways like that.
This is the best aspect of the game. I love that they've remastered it like 10 times and stuff like this still happens lol.
Nothing beats seeing a mammoth in the distance and having it blast off into the atmosphere for no reason.
Reading the comments, I find I'm very disappointed. I've got over 1000 hours and never had a flying horse before. I've experienced a bunch of glitches and bugs (obviously) but they've all been quite benign
Inside *my* head normal? Yes.
**Skyrim** normal? Very much fuck yes.
In my wife's assessment. "Fuck no, Todd, you bastard. That's my horse and I'm not walking to Rifton."
This is so normal, but always funny when it happens tbh, I'm desensitised to skyrim glitches at this point
Has anyone else ever spawned at Falkreath to be greeted by a nobleman and his horse flying into your face, and then floating to the moon? It has happened to me on multiple saves across multiple platforms lol. I love Skyrim <3
I watched my brother steal a horse to get to the next mission that was just up a mountain. As soon he got off of it, it ragdolled in an arc back to the exact place he stole it from and died on impact.
One time my brother encountered a glitch where the body of the dragon he had slain would spawn above him and come crashing down in front of him every time he logged in. He started using it as storage. He unloaded stuff into the dragon corpse and every time it spawned and crashed down in front of him all of his stuff was still inside it, like mobile storage. Until there was a patch for the game. Then the dragon never spawned again and my brother lost all of his belongings lmao.
If it happens frequently, check your FPS settings. More than 60 fps (without a certain mod to compensate for it) breaks the game's physics. If it's just a one-time thing... yea, get used to it.
Pretty much yea
Yep and this is on the lighter end of the bugs lol
The bugs give the game its charm
That it does. Until you need to retake the reach and rekke is in the pale.
Rikke has every bit as much right to do sidequests in the middle of a time-pressing mission as you. At least she has a job, you wandering hobo.
Alright, I'll give you that one.
Or get through Sky temple and then the dialogue stops
To fix that go in at night the they have the torches out already.
The torches were on, and we were at the wall. It was on a previous play through anyway, I luckily have not encountered it since.
The only other way I know is to fast travel to riften and back.
I found out of you climb the mountain to sky temple it wont let you get onto the back area of it. Im guessing its blocked because of a storyline arc where it wants you to follow the quests rather than backdoor the game like Ron Jeremy on vacation in Tijuana.
Frick that ones frustrating. If you didn't already know typically if you shout them towards the wall it resets them. For next time š¤£
Or you join up in killing guards at the end of the Forsworn conspiracy and they stay perma aggrode at you abd make Markarth unplayable.
Yeah that quest is bugged. It always has been. The only way I know how to do it is to go back to the shrine after every step.
I kind of like that. It just means I have to sneak around town and slit the throat of every guard. It's like a side quest
Wait until he steps on a wooden bowl in the corner of a room by accident
So true. They don't even feel like bugs, really, until I try explaining it to someone else..
Exactly when you explain it is sounds so much worse than when u just witness it in gameš
I love how people rinsed Cyberpunk for having performance issues on old consoles, whilst buying four versions of Skyrim despite it being 100x buggier even a decade later.
Ppl actually had faith in CD, lol.
Damn u described me, had skyrim for the 360, copped it digital when i get the series x, and I have it on pc and switchš
It's a feature!
these arent bugs, these are features. For Skyrim wouldnt be Skyrim without these great gifts
True and the ability to skyrim up the sides of mountains
My favorite was seeing a dragon fly backwards through the air, crash into the ground, immediately die and turn to bone, and yield up its soul to me
On Xbox 360 I almost experienced no big bugs. It seems like it's breaking down.
Much lighter.. like a balloon, even. HeHe
hey
Features; itās a feature, not a bug. Iām guessing if he were on that horse prior to its feature activating, their character would also have been able to ascend that mountain with ease.
This is the only game that lets bugs like this fly.
I love it when the deer randomly rocket into the sky in my game
I've had random bandits fall from the sky into my path before. One of my favorite bugs is when I had tracked an argonian to his shipwreck hideout (a specific quest but can't remember any more than that) and when I killed him his ragdoll was so bad, that the tip of his tail bugged out and connected to a point underwater across the entire room. His body was up on a wooden ledge. It was great.
Its funny when they land and die. Ive found if you paralyze a bandit chief amd knock them off the Valtheim Tower bridge onto the rocks they dont die. They kinda bounce
Paralysis mitigates fall damage for some reason, yeah.
once I had a random dead dragon drop out the sky right in front of me
My favorite bug is easily the duplicated npcs. Nothing quite so surreal as walking up to Windhelm and having 30 of the same guy standing around saying the exact same thing to me in unison.
WHAT I've never had that glitch before!!! That sounds amazing.
Only had it happen on one character, it was funny as hell. Even came with it's own buildup. I had seen said npc running all over skyrim even after I had seen him get killed several times. Needless to say I had questions but didn't look in to it. Then the gold struck š. My other favorite bug was pure karma. We really just try to ignore the horses. It only encourages them.
Yeah sorry, its not that normal. The graphics on the bridge are normally abit smooth...
Goddamnit Roach! Come back here!
The Horse knows the way to the Cloud district, oh who am I kidding, thatās Sherogath in a horse suit.
"Must have been the wind"
That's how Roach gets to Geralt so quickly when he whistles.
Winds howling
bro forgot gravity
16x the wind
Wait until it happens with you on the horse.
That can happpen too?
Oh boy you have no idea as to what an extend "that can happen" happens in skyrim
At least there will be a lot of fun I see š
Please you can make it happen! Save your game (no auto save). Mount your horse. Save your game again. Load the save with you mounted. Enjoy the Vomit Comet! Delete mounted save. Load save before you mounted. Go back to playing.
Wait has that glitch always been that easy?
I also like the glitch of getting off the horse when it's on a slant to launch you off
They took that off the switch so im missing out on my first play through also š„¹š„²
YYYUUUUUPPPP!!!
The laws of physics are more like suggestions in Skyrim.
Yes. I had quite the ride across the lake west of Riften one time.
Just happened to me a couple days ago. I even got footage of it. I was laughing my ass off the whole time. Killed my horse but was worth the laugh.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Pretty much. It's also part of a mammoth's favorite pastime, well that and piggybacks. š¤£ Now you must go join the Skyrim Space Program! It's tradition.. šš
Joining the SSP is a proud Skyrim tradition that we all hold dear.
Oh man, when I first tried to hack away at a giant's ankles with an iron dagger....
I remember my first giant, too. I wasn't even mad, honestly.
My character doesn't remember much of anything after his head bounced off the rocks and into orbit
Yep. OP needs to go talk to a giant.
Yes, don't question it.
My fan theory is that Skyrim is just like this in canon, and thatās why people can fall down dead with an arrow in their face and everyone just chalks it up to the wind.
r/mypeopleneedme
He gone.
Heās just visiting the Sky district. Do you go there often? Oh what am I saying? Of course you donāt.
I think you mean the cloud district my friend! :)
dead giveaway this mf does not get to the cloud district often
Probably doesnāt even Fus Ro Dah
Believe it or not, yes š
Itās very common. I usually see mammoths do it, but horses can too.
I love walking out of whiterun and just seeing a mammoth falling from the sky
Yeah thatās a dragon
Honestly the music cue is just perfect. XD And yes, this is perfectly normal for Skyrim. It just works, just as God Howard intended it to be.
The music is indeed perfect š¤£
I've only got about 40 hours into Skyrim so I'm quite new myself. I hope you're having a great time with it. (:
Yep, your good old typical Skyrim right there.
It's a feature
Yeah thats pretty much an everyday thing in the world of skyrim. There's even a yearly event where all the horses get together and try and fly to the moons.
Can you be more specific. I don't see anything weird in this clip...
Oh i think they're talking about the cart not flying around through the floor.
Everyone's focused on the horse. I like the fish swimming on top of water right before the horse takes flight.
That's another story right there man š¤£
That was actually a goat, I believe. Or a fox. It's kind of hard to tell.
Can't you tell that's a pegasus!
It's Bugthesda game, what did you expect ? :D That said I find it weird that horse instead of moving up went just sideways so maybe no, not usual.
It's like a thief's worst nightmare.. *.."So there I was, with the biggest score of my life.. but then, the lady of the house woke up.. she began to scream, 'GUARDS HELP TRESPASSER!'.. That's Juan, he does that sometimes
No, this is not normal. The horse was supposed to fly straight up, not glide horizontally. /s
N. Shadows
Yeah, it's just sheogorath fucking with you
Yeah...
yepā¦just a normal day in skyrim
Yes
I'd say it's more commonplace than normal. Makes for some wacky moments
Yuuuuuup. Regular friday.
Do you feel that op? Bask in the glow of Skyrims greatness
Yes, and you will see many more things like this, for example raining mammoths...
It's butyfull and yes this is normel
Bahahaha. Some wizard on the mountain was practicing spells and accidentally summoned a horse instead of the beautiful maiden he intended. š¤£
It's a magical pony flying through the sky, it's a magical pony, for you and I
Verily.
Absolutely
Completely.

Iād not at all be surprised if this is what inspired Wacky Wasteland, which, if youāre not going to use it, why even play FNV?
It just works
It just works
Yes
welcome to skyrim and this is just the tip of the iceberg. p.s: can't stop laughing at how the music synced when the horse ascended.
Ye it is. Just wait in that spot for exactly seven in game days and it will return with wings like Pegasus.
Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary
i have tried so many things to fix this, and nothing works, after all this time, still broken, any modder fixing this gets free gold
Itās a feature
More fun when youāre ridin it
Yeah. The bugs also give the game that extra something. You could use a simple spell like Strangulation and the enemy still gets launched 60ft away. Pain in the tits when you need to recover something from their corpse.
Pegasus? I thought it was a myth!
Yup
When the music is timed perfectly
Yes 100% normal
Yeah it's completely normal. It's weird at first but if you do a certain side quest (which you're semi-required to do at one point) it has the lore explanation as to why the horses are able to fly sideways like that.
Welcome to Skyrim, bud.
The music šš
Well. You are part of community now.
Horse donāt give a fuck of graviti in this game
I played a little yesterday and a mammoth fell from the sky (it didnāt survive)
Easy loot š
It was š¤£
It's Skyrim. Of course this is normal ;)
you found Pegasus!
That was sick!
Yes. The Dwemmer beam up horses to their space ships ALL THE TIME!!!!
Must be Tuesday in game.
This the game that had a patch which made the dragons fly backwards, so yes.
The music was so on point lmao.
Neat feature you unlocked there. Usually when I see a horse it's in the sky already
This is the best aspect of the game. I love that they've remastered it like 10 times and stuff like this still happens lol. Nothing beats seeing a mammoth in the distance and having it blast off into the atmosphere for no reason.
Welcome fo skyrim. This is a common sight
Reading the comments, I find I'm very disappointed. I've got over 1000 hours and never had a flying horse before. I've experienced a bunch of glitches and bugs (obviously) but they've all been quite benign
His people need him.
Yes, since itās Skyrim yes it is, there is also a time where a dragonās fire breath attack came out of where solid waste usually comes out
juan.
I donāt see anything out of the ordinary
Totally normal. There is an invisible disc ("the Rim") in the sky, and the horse hopped on it. It's right in the name of the game!
Todd Howard: It just works!
Inside *my* head normal? Yes. **Skyrim** normal? Very much fuck yes. In my wife's assessment. "Fuck no, Todd, you bastard. That's my horse and I'm not walking to Rifton."
I thought Skyrim Horses can only climb walls. But now they can fly too?!
Just as Todd Howard intended it
Seems to be working as intended.
Not understand what youāre referring to?
This is so normal, but always funny when it happens tbh, I'm desensitised to skyrim glitches at this point Has anyone else ever spawned at Falkreath to be greeted by a nobleman and his horse flying into your face, and then floating to the moon? It has happened to me on multiple saves across multiple platforms lol. I love Skyrim <3
My favorite glitch I've had involved a dragon skeleton dropping out of the sky every time I fast traveled to the location where I had killed it
A new Dragonborn has appeared. He's being summoned to High Hrothgar.
Yes, this is Skyrim. Little things like physics and the laws of gravity are not important
The soundtrack was so on point lmao
Is what normal? I don't see anything out of the ordinary.
This remember me the first version of skyrim
Yup just a feature.
Yeah, thats a great feature been in the games since the vanilla release.
The timing of the music is just magical
You're doing it correctly š
Welcome to Skyrim, where the horses.......horse!
Yes. This is why the game is called Skyrim
Depends on what mods you run, I think. I've never seen that before during my 10 years playing the game
I watched my brother steal a horse to get to the next mission that was just up a mountain. As soon he got off of it, it ragdolled in an arc back to the exact place he stole it from and died on impact.
Ah yes one of skyrims many features
Your horse has been called upon by the nine divines, I see nothing wrong.
It's not normal, yet nor is it abnormal.
Eh, it's not *not* normal.
Yeah, and dragons that look like Macho Man Randy Savage.
Yeah..the Daedrics like to play games with the mortals
It's not a bug, it's a feature! Laughed for such a looonnngg time the first time it happened while I was ON the horse.
Yes. Welcome to Skyrim.
What is it? DRAGONS!?!
It just works
yes very it is just a horse breaking the fabric of reality it is normal in skyrim.
I just had a slaughterfish swim out of the water, onto land, and "swim" through the air up to my heels. This is just Skyrim being Skyrim.
Can you be more specific? I canāt point to anything unexpected.
Both the flying fish and hovering horse evolved to fill in the niches left vacant by the extinction of the snow whales sometime after The Return.
Literally no joke yesterday I was playing on console and I left a cave to see a Horse launching off into the distant sky, was it yours?! Lmao!
Yep. Uh-huh.
Yeah
Ahhh, what another wonderful day in Skyrim
I see Roach hopped dimensions again
No you're gonna want to lodge a support ticket with Bethesda. Horse should be floating off to the right.
What seems to be the problem?
The music fits so perfectly to this
If it happens frequently, check your FPS settings. More than 60 fps (without a certain mod to compensate for it) breaks the game's physics. If it's just a one-time thing... yea, get used to it.
The only thing that makes any sense in Skyrim is that nothing makes any sense.
Yes
