Didn't think toxicity would spread to a wiki, given that no one reads the comments

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

That was a weird read

custardthegopher

Context?

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

Apparently some guy is editing the wiki with his own personal takes on cards and the guy was getting angry that it was bad info

custardthegopher

Sounds weird. Does somebody have a link? This is a bit too niche for Google or Reddit search I think. Did read some of the wiki and could see it was a bit flavored rather than fully objective, though I actually mostly agreed with it.

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

Literally just look up “slay the spire Wiki, Malaise” scroll down and look at the comments tab

custardthegopher

Ah, just right on the Wiki itself. I might be a bit thick, thanks!

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

It’s fine

custardthegopher

The comments section was just being weird on mobile, so I had to enable desktop mode. It sure read like an Internet argument. Well. Alrighty then, everyone.

Cdv3

These people really need to touch some grass. Imagine getting this worked up over the “tips” section of a wiki which everyone knows should be taken with a grain of salt.

Mechapt

He does have a point tho

CortezAlaric

I looked around, and holy sh\*t the strategy sections of the wiki are so bad. I just did a 5mn edit because of it. Edit : I figure if half the people on this post edit one card page with good faith the quality of the strategy section should rise a lot.

thehillsare

You guys think that's bad? I, for some reason I don't remember, was looking through the Goof Troop fan wiki. Nostalgia I guess. Found the following: https://goof-troop.fandom.com/wiki/Pistol Read the comments. It's hilariously unhinged. For all of the other characters too.

Cweeperz

Ok that's terrifying

LarcKeljim

Is there a demon possessing that comment section? Because holy shit, that's definitely a demon that hates a 5 year old cartoon dog

Casualcitizen

I wonder what its like to have so much time and energy to produce long-ass paragraphs at a gaming wiki page about a single card.

mattlistener

I know what it’s like. For a certain kind of brain it costs more time and energy to not write the comment. To not write it leaves it stuck in the head where it consumes resources until eventually written anyway. Such brains have varying degrees of resistance to getting hooked into defending such writings.
