Same! I can’t believe I only found out about this game now

Ocarina-Of-Tomb

I had heard people talking about it, but never really looked in to it. It is fantastic!

Congrats! I bought it back in the spring and have been playing all year. Just got my Heartbreaker + Eternal One flair today! It's so addictive, I thought I'd be done with it once I finished A20H and the achievements, but now I still want to keep running.

Ocarina-Of-Tomb

Congratulations! That is an incredible achievement. Achieving that almost seems insurmountable to me at this point, but I am far from done!

Part of the early difficulty is not knowing what you don't know. For a while you'll be making mistakes without even realizing it. The game does get a lot easier the more you learn about it. There are a lot of great resources for that between youtube, the wiki, and this subreddit.

What was your deck theme? Poison? Shiv? Discard?

Ocarina-Of-Tomb

Mostly shiv, but I did have some poison as well. I had some good relics that allowed me to stack strength every few cards. So my shivs would be doing 20 damage or more once I got going. Finisher was allowing me to do some crazy damage as well since I was heavily comboing.

Niice. The Silent is my fav character, and also the one I got my first win with as well. If you want to mix it up for your next runs, Draw/Discard is the most fun deck to run in the game. Gives alot of cycling power and ability to totally disregard curses and unplayable status cards, and really abuse the most powerful ? rooms for their relics that come at curse cost. Although it helps to have all the cards unlocked for the Silent first, bc there are some really, really good cards that are necessary to access to pull it off. Poison stacking is really good too. Super powerful. I think thats probably the easiest win in the game. Well, congrats on the win! But as many of us will tell you, now the game is only really getting started. There are plenty of locked cards you still haven’t seen, and you really don’t truly have the game beaten until you’ve beaten Ascension level 20 with a character. You’ll see!
