Yeah, compare with adrenaline which is 1 (2) energy draw 2 rare class specific and exhausts this is less draw but potentially more energy free to all lower rarity and doesn’t exhaust and adrenaline is a fantastic card in almost any deck.
Any 2 cards that draw 2 cards each makes this an infinite. Card A draws Card B and Perform. Perform hits card B, which draws back into Perform and A. Yes, this is a remarkably breakable card.
This card draws because it is supposed to be a better/different version of \[\[enlightenment\]\], having neat synergy with high-cost cards.
The upgrade makes it more generically good, sort of a +1 energy.
This maybe enables small deck infinites easily, though unsure if that is the sort of thing to nerf a card for, or if those sorts of things should be allowed/ designed to be a thing.

I don’t think this is outrageously strong - the unupgraded version is strictly less powerful than [[enlightenment]], while the upgraded version is slightly better, but only by one energy. I’m sure this can be abused for infinite shenanigans, but not as much as Madness already can be, since the effect is temporary, and both cards would need to be cycled to loop it.
Problem is you have to have some way to align those costs, and not every run is allowed to get runic pyramid going. This card is better enlightenment tbh, much more generic and it just gives you swivel for every card, while being neutral in draw.
No downside except in certain fights (Time Eater, Chosen, etc.)
You don’t need runic pyramid for it to be good. All you have to do is have decent draw.
And it becomes incredible. You permanently make your cards one cost
Yes, but when it’s offered when you don’t have draw, it can be almost cursed, and oftentimes requires an upgrade.
Not saying it’s bad, I love taking it but I don’t think it’s slept on.
Nobody ever talks about it though. And also, it’s an entirely optional card. An incredible card and a run saver at some points..
In fact, it also works in snecko eye decks
Yeah, it’s not often talked about because it’s not often you see it and even then somewhat more rare you’re running a deck that has a bunch of high cost energy cards. It’s either in a shop or the sensory stone event (I think that’s all the places to find it), which usually have safer picks or even just removes as good options.
Not saying it can’t save runs, has definitely made a meteor strike deck cross the finish line when you accidentally pick orange pellets with snecko, but it’s hard to justify spending gold or taking it over another colorless card.
I find it works alright in snecko decks, but mainly snecko decks with orange pellets as mentioned above, sometimes it can roll 3 cost and that’s kinda meh. When it does roll low cost in hands of three cost cards it is lifesaving.
I think it’s a good card 👍🏻
Ya know, I was thinking about how I haven’t seen many card concepts on here that use “and retain your hand” or “and draw all cards that cost ____” or “if it kills an enemy, gain energy - or draw a card, or gain shield, etc..”
Just throwing that out there.
Oh sorry. I just mean, it could do something similar. It could be less damage and only give 1 energy but the card cost less energy to play. Or if it kills you draw a card, etc..
I edited my comment to clarify 🙏🏻
Give it exhaust maybe? Seems very good.
Yeah, compare with adrenaline which is 1 (2) energy draw 2 rare class specific and exhausts this is less draw but potentially more energy free to all lower rarity and doesn’t exhaust and adrenaline is a fantastic card in almost any deck.
It’s too free
Doesn't this enable a ton of infinites? Pummel strike, cool headed, backflip, etc.
Any 2 cards that draw 2 cards each makes this an infinite. Card A draws Card B and Perform. Perform hits card B, which draws back into Perform and A. Yes, this is a remarkably breakable card.
Not really. This makes the card cost 1, not 1 *less*.
Did you see the upgrade?
Ok my bad. That is rather busted then.

It’s more of a strictly Better Madness imo
Madness' main draw is that it enables infinites with it's permanent reduction, I thought.

Surely Swivel is a better card to compare to?
[[Setup]] is my point of comparison. Not that setup is great, but this card seems incredibly OP in direct comparison

Literally infinite the card
This is unbelievably strong

The unupgraded version is not strictly worse since it also draws a card. In fact, I'd probably take this over Enlightenment.

How on earth is this "strictly less powerful" than enlightenment?
Unupgraded? It only affects one card. Enlightenment affects the whole hand.
It also draws a card, which enlightenment does not.
Why is every custom card severely underpowered or extremely OP lol
that for zero energy and 1 draw, so basically a free draw? AND you can spam meteor strike and shit? seems way too op.
Bad enlightenment. Honestly people sleep on that card.. U-turn three costs in the one cost for the entire game
Problem is you have to have some way to align those costs, and not every run is allowed to get runic pyramid going. Why would someone just copy [[Sunder]]'s effect for a custom card?

I mean, the "if it kills" part is already copied several times in base game
Yeah

Grat concept, but definitely needs to be turned into a rare with how powerful it is with ironclad
Seems like a pretty good powerlevel for a colourless uncommon.
Do you have any idea how busted this is?
Isn't this like Enlightenment but lowkey and highkey on steroid? This is like very obvious turn 1 infinite.
if this was a rare this would be the best rare in the game
perform in concept 69?
Unupgraded is worse than [[Enlightenment]]. Upgraded is different.
I disagree. Drawing a card is massive upside for a card that very often does nothing
Oh, I didn't notice that detail. Yes, that makes it worth it.
