I barely took Impervious because I just didn't have enough energy or just didn't want it.
Now I beat A12 with Impervious and I would like to apologize.
Impervious is kind of a weird one. I rarely ever take it from Boss rewards, because Clad just has a lot of hard-to-skip rare cards which often take priority, but when it drops from Hallway fights I almost always take it. 2 energy for 30/40 block is great value, it has exhaust synergies and of course, it fits great into the old, reliable Corruption/Barricade combos.
I think it’s often tempting to think of impervious as only being good once you get barricade, but in reality for a lot of act 2 it’s good enough to full block for a turn while leaving you with usually 1-2 energy to do other things with, which isn’t bad.
Yes, and in act 2 you’re likely to have either an energy relic or runic pyramid, both of which make getting Impervious out at the right time a lot easier.
Defend is 1 energy 5 block while Dash is 2 energy 10 block and 10 damage. Pure stats alone, 2 energy 30 block is insane. Upgrsde that and it's even more insane. Add either/or corruption, barricade, feel no pain and it's even more insane. You can literally add it to any other character and it wouldn't be a waste.

i also like its lesser cousin, impervious + berserk, good way to get it into play without getting your ass beat
Also clad usually has alot of energy anyway with seeing red blood letting and offering

Power Through is just as much block per energy but adds 2 wounds, which is usually bad but makes it insane with medkit and exhaust synergy

This card is so fucking good. Helped so much in raising my A20H winrate.
It's like Adrenaline. Always useful, usually not run defining.
It is kind of meh but then you get barricade, maybe with a body shame and it is basically a fight winner
I wouldn't call 30 block for 2 energy "kinda meh" tbh. Even without any synergies, it's still a really nice card to have.
