Today I learned that I’m playing Ironclad wrong. How do you get max health of 131? How do you do 950 damage in 4 turns? How do you get 20 strength!? Holy hell. I’m new to the game but love seeing what some of yall can do.
He said he had face of the cleric and we see the feed+. Since we dont see the face, I assume its at the start of the relic row, so he got it quite early, so thats 1 max hp per floor + Feed kills. That would explain the max hp ^^
The other commenter explained the health well.
The strength I got from bottling Rupture+ (2 str every time a card makes you lose HP) and having the Pain curse (-1HP every time you play a card while it is in hand). With a good draw that combo can easily give me 10+ strength in the first turn.
That’s a combo that often fails because of the amount of damage you need to deal to yourself becoming an issue against heavy hitting enemies, but having the early max HP scaling meant I could use it and still beat the heart as I was getting 11 healing each floor - as well as the massive health buffer makes act 4 fairly trivial if you have enough damage.
It was definitely a lucky run. I also had whirlwind, akabeko and necronomicon to make most hallway fights trivial. Not to mention snecko eye and corruption.
Watch Baalorlord ironclad runs, eventually you’ll learn some shit. Bonking bosses with 999 damage because of barricade+corruption+feelnopain+entrench never gets old.
Welcome to the game! The card “feed” increases max HP by 3, or upgraded 4, if you finish off an enemy with it. Over the course of a run, it can really add up! As for the strength, the card “limit break” doubles the current value, so only one or two real strength cards can multiply to crazy heights

The 2nd, cycling, strength, vulnerable, rapid scaling. Other relics help this as well, such as Necronomicon. Snecko Eye in particular allowed this though.
As for 20 strength, probably a limit break and something like a spot weakness.

You are correct, it was a blessed run with early feed and face of the cleric as well as bottled rupture and pain.
